absolutly, especially when AI is usually a greater threat than any antag can possibly be...

this mmr system is crappy, as others thing it kills 500% of the fun, there is lot of suggestions to modify it on forum, but... hey... aleph modifications  or nerfing schneider was clearly better priorities.

IF and i really say IF you are playing with shae and against high lvl, it is possible that you can not dodge a second strike because the first already put you on your knees.
so you receive a strike -> instant wounded state -> you cannot dodge anymore -> second strike is in fact the finisher move -> your dead.

(locals character are really weak in health, depending on their lvl and cards, they take beetwin 1 and, maybe, max 3 strikes to be done.)

BUT, there is lot of cqc bugs too, and lot of matches have nightmarish ping, so sometimes you just can not dodge whatever you do.

please host, if you see you have a bad ping :

1) disconnect to force host migration (not when mission is nearly ended obviously)
2) after match go in your option and block hosting.

yes, valeria has lots of counter since she mostly take her strength from the map configuration.

please mse, stop bullshiting us with "our game recognises suiciders and we are taking actions against them."

i have been teamed up 3 missions this morning with the exact same guy who suicided in EVERY 3 missions.
1 times with 0 reasons, 2time... maybe because of a bad antag who scared him...? and last time, we'll accuse bad ping who could have been an annoyance.

so we can guess he always does that for any shenanigan who cross his stupid mind, and he has never been and will never be detected by the game wich has certainly no function to detect people like that...

and by the way, wich is the link to directly report players like that to you please ?

pot :
3players and huey, invaded by a first tier shae who had lowered its mmr, so elite snipers (and monsters in general) were faaar more deadly than she was.
i was playing a new character with forge 0 lvl, to obtain a BP, unfortunately her default weapon was unable to reach the boss.
same for the second player apparently (nilben)
the third player left the game.
pot lost.

second game :
harec invasion.
match full of improbable cqc bugs and unregular ping going from 80 to 300.
barely won.
but 0 fun all along.

third game.
hanging by a thread invaded by a valeria.
playing sooma :
--> on first and last part, other players had NOTHING to do except waiting around me that time pass and we could move on.
but they passed their time dying against antag like nobrainers and match was lost by instant death while we just had to reach the extraction point.

forth game :
for rare BP.
so i was playing the same useless new character.
teamed with huey AND lewey on an insane difficulty mission (no reservation). this bug ALWAYS happen when there is more than a bro cort in a team.
we could barely move, explosions were everywhere and OS us. without talking about pack of 3-4 elites full of aleph roaming the platformes.
rare BP lost.

fifth mission.
no reservation again.
4 first tier players.
very high difficulty and... a frenzied suicider.
with no reason.
he start killing himself in the 2 last parts and emptied lives while we were around 300 meters to the objective.

5missions and just a strong desire to uninstal and forget this game.

so why am i describing my daily gaming session, wich is of relatively few interest ?
because, except for nobrainers against devs are powerless, most of the things who happened today, are common problems the community complains about for VERY long time.

problems who destroy the game reputation more than anything and who won't be solved by 6545 (unwanted) different aleph modifications or shiny new characters

so at this point, devs have the full responsability for not acting against them.
and if this game dies, because players can't stand all this bullshit anymore, they will have the entire responsibility of their failure.

no. but i gladly want you to show me how you blast her down in the air with hatchet for example.
like for valeria, they are no counter, they just have a chance to survive her, with fat better bets on alicia.

there is a lot a thing that could be done.
for example you decide of the difficulty only when the battle starts and you calculate it based on weapons lvl of each players with some modificitations due to lvl.

or simply a standard difficulty, since most games mixes all kind of players levels, slightly modified by global team lvls. so it will be easier when there is only low lvl in the team and harder when there is only high lvl.

the only sure thing is that mmr is crappy and brings more problems than solutions

you probably encountered an mmr cheater.
high level but so weak he has to lower his mmr to gratify his ego with a win while team is just bashed by AI...
it's a real problem but mse think it barely never happens.

you're wrong on that. harec and alicia are the strongest character in the game imo, and i intend to master alicia. i have started using her. just i didn't learn to play with her, so i'm still new and bad with her.
consequently, i still use her scarcely but it is my intention tu make her one of my mains. =)

valeria is OS like any other character and shakura main fire do not makes enough damage, so she has good chance to lose against alicia.
kuzie are bigger chance to strike her.
and that's much all.

all other characters have 80% to die fighting her.

and that's the problem.
take sadhu for example.
countering it does not depends only on the character, yes some character will me more effective, but you mostly have to adapt your gameplay to counter sadhu.

with alicia the win or loss ONLY depends on the character you chose. and that's what is bothering me. it could be ok if characters able to counter her were numerous, but only 3 seems few to me.

yeah because they think nerf have to be drastic, like every devs...
when you asked for a rebalance you don't ask for a "make this totally useless please ! and ban everyone who used it !! and kill their family too !!!"

and someday devs will have to understand that.
but well now i'm playing shae or konst 75% of the time anyway to prevent her invasion.
so, they can do what they want with alicia... and well, i'll bear a loss the last 25% =)
