I finally finished this Character guide!  ;D
This hopefully can new help players better understand this fantastic Character; and again, I’m still learning video editing so please bear with me.  :o

This comes for someone that loves, and plays, a lot of the antagonist...I have a problem. O_o
I don’t think that the antagonist respawn timer is not an issue by itself; however, the global audio cue when the antagonist respawns is. With the way it works right now when the antagonist respawns (not when the timer depletes but WHEN the antagonist decides to respawn) there is an audio cue that lets the Raiders know when the Antagonist respawns, this is far worse in my opinion. I feel that the raiders should be rewarded for killing the antagonist in knowing how much free time they have for completing the objective before the antagonist is ALLOWED to respawn; as such, the antagonist should be rewarded for killing the raiders in knowing when the raiders are FORCED to respawn. The global audio cue removes that “element of surprise factor” you were talking about. The antagonist has three strengths to them when respawning, deciding where they want to respawn, deciding when they want to respawn after their timer depletes, and that most of the respawn points are on or near NPC spawn areas. The global audio cue heavily cripples these strengths, cause the moment you hear it you just look at the spawn points and see where they are; and besides, if you remove the timer all you have to do is mental count when they will respawn, like with quake which is easy, and will not fix the “not having the element of surprise factor” problem.

Thank you! I think these temporary bans are a good idea, and hopefully now I can play the antagonist more and get my fix! I like playing the Antagonist way too much…I think I have a problem. O_o

Meeting in a forum to exchange and validate ideas with each other is a very solid way to gain knowledge. We share our opinions, we hope other people come to challenge them and, eventually, we all get a better understanding of the topic at hand.

You make good points. You also use aggressive words that make it hard for other people to participate and validate them. That would make each argument gather more force. I don't blame you for having feelings. It clearly transpires that you care about the game. However, a little less aggression will get more people participating and a better debate going on.

That being said, the points you make are fair. We're working on a number of changes that will address the economy, antagonist progression, community divides, gold offer vs. demand balance and much more.

Forum-goers are some of our most informed and knowledgeable users. If we listed these changes here right away, that would only target a subset of informed users. We are working on communicating these changes to an audience as wide as possible, and that is why it will take a little longer until we can release all the specifics.

Thank you for the update, and for letting us know what you and your team are working on.

Ship's Log / Re: Reward System Hot-Fix Update
 on: November 15, 2017, 11:28:57 PM
I would much prefer to spend this gold on the new characters, but if they're going to cost less than the recent Raiders, then I don't mind grinding up the Gold again. I'm hoping for a fair 80k on average per hero, depending on whatever your metrics are. Basically, if you can either give us a release window, or confirm that the new raiders won't cost as much as Mikah and Ginebra, then I will happily spend my Gold and earn it back again.

I've been recording my average gold earned since the update, with a fresh start, and currently I'm sitting on 1822.87 Gold earned on average per game across maps. This reflects what I posted above about the flat increase not helping, as that's half of what I was earning before you increased the gold reward by 1/3rd post-Ginebra. I've also recorded whenever there is a split roll on gold, so that will be an interesting statistic to put forward as well.
If you have that much then I would say wait until the new story update and see what happens, and how did you get 317k?! I have not collectively earned 100k and I play almost every day? (except the 4 days the xbox/windows10 servers were bugged)

Meanwhile Ginebra is still 360 000g. Now you ONLY need 350k more.
I think that this is a great idea, as Karen stated, “This will allow newcomers to start unlocking lore, building weapon blueprints or unlocking characters after just a few games.” I feel this will help to keep now players invested. Although I do agree that the cost of some of the characters and skins are way too expensive; such as, Mikah costing 120,000 gold, Ginebra at 360,000, and both cost way WAY too much with MercuryPoints for a non-free to play title. This is an awesome change and to me shows that they are listening to their consumers.

Spacelords’ Advice / Re: Video Faction Guide for new players

Hi guys!

Thank you very much! This is always useful for newcomers to understand the characters and the lore around them ;)
Great vid, would be interested in seeing character breakdowns as well.
Thank you so much for your encouragement, my next step is to do a HAREC character guide actually. 😉

I think you could add some staple faction cards to the mix that reinforce basic playstyle:

- Hades:
- Black belt - take 25% less dmg in melee.
So its 30 dmg per hit on you instead of 40 - so at 140 hp it will take 5 direct melee hits to be downed instead of 4 for example, making you into even greater brawler.

- Kevlar - take 50% less weapon dmg when CCQ.
Can help vs people who try to break your grapple by shooting at you (I asume that works like that XD)

- Stealth - stress meter fills up 40% less.
This one allows you to ape Aliens a bit as you can now run a mile without hitting stress mark, but best part is at 5 Alef - you just stop generating stress. At all. Nothing will make you generate stress as long as you hold 5 Alef - you can shoot, you can take hits, you can run and use your skills non stop - while being invisible through the walls and constantly regaining health. The tricky part is to get 5 alef ofc XD.

- Fifth council:
Closed System - healing 20 on each frag with you weapon or ability, but NOT with your iron fists.
This one is obviously for raider side only, as you wont be ramping up chain kills as antagonist and miliage may vary from chracater to character (Ginebra kinda benefits less from it as she has to reload and thus you have more oportunities to deplete your stress anyway, but Konstantine and Kuzman suffer a major gamechangin-gasm with "I AM INVINCIBLE!" vibe when your just plow through enemies without need to get into cover nearly as much).

- Reboot - regain HP 140% faster if standing still.
Oddly enough feels really good on Ginebra, while being uber lackluster on "Ko & Ku" - as it pairs really well with your realoding - you have just the right ammount of low stress time during reloading in cover that boosted regeneration will top you off pretty much from any ammount of HP left.

- Variety of assorted dmg boosters - Do not bother with 4% one - Konstantine and Kuzman wont see basicly any increase and it doesnt help Ginebra to break any sort of thresholds that change her "twoshots" into "oneshots".
10% are kinda interesting, but mostly as antagonist or if you want to see huge overkill numbers as Ginebra - you forsake Closed System on "Ko & Ku" as raider - and thats a big deal, as minor dmg increase is not worth lose of major survivability boost.
Thank you for the input this helps a lot, I actually plan on making card guide later, but I thought this would be a better place to start.

Spacelords’ Advice / Video Faction Guide for new players

A lot of players are unaware of the major and universal differences of the factions; so, I wanted a make a simple guide for the different factions in Raiders of the Broken Planet, teaching the strengths and weakness of each faction. Be forewarned that editing is not my strength. XD

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Xbox One Server Connection Issues
 on: November 14, 2017, 03:58:27 AM
MercurySteam posted on twitter about there temporary fix for xbox/windows10 users, it states "We have found a temporary fix to the Xbox One/Windows PC connectivity problems. We are temporarily disabling the visualization of the Raiders and Antagonists Leagues. This seems to alleviate the problem, while we work on a final solution.", so far my friends and I have had no disconnect issues  after this temporary fix. How are the rest of you doing?

I asked our top club members on XB1, and all replied that the are unable to connect, and have played 0 matches this weekend. Since there’s an event running that NO ONE can play on XB1, can we have a re-do when said server issues are fixed?
Not only Xbox players but Windows 10 players can not login either.

Bug report & Technical Support / Re: server problem
 on: November 12, 2017, 09:22:42 PM
Have you contacted their support via Email? Might get you somewhere: raiders_support@mercurysteam.com
Yes, but they are out for "festividad de la Almudena" and won't be back till Monday. Which makes sense, it's like Americans taking of work on Thanksgiving.
So essentially this first time event as Xbox one users we all get to miss out on the first event? Me and all the friends I've made across the long grind to get my main and favorite characters weapons and cards, we haven't been able to get on long enough to play. I love the game along with all the friends I play with. We have grinded out long hours and grueling trials. It's a real shame and let down because we all were stoked for the event. So is there something you guys can do to spend up the event or even just give us another event to give all of us on Xbox one a chance to put in grind time for kills? We'd all appreciate it if we could get something because it's the first event but because we don't play on PC we're going to miss out until the next one.

I don't know about steam users, but Windows 10 players are having the same problems.

Well neither me or my friends can login now (Xobx and Windows 10), I guess none of us get to play in the event. :(
