Spacelords Universe / Ginebra life model
 on: March 02, 2021, 01:18:49 AM
Im hoping a dev or someone on the creative team sees this..

Im an art student and was wondering if a real model was used for Ginebra's body type. This week in class we are making torsos out of clay and as much as I would love to just use Ginebra as my reference, my professor would suggest I get references from real life, which makes sense. So I'm wondering where the character design concepts for her character may have came from or what real life people she may have a similar body type to.

If someone on the creative team could help me with this question as a fellow artist to another, id greatly appreciate it.

the devs probably won't work on this because I think it costs less for them to just talk to the fans on twitter. this forum is a ghost town honestly.

Well, I gave it another try but the same thing happens.

This time, Alacia dismantled the whole team and we lost miserably. Defeat happened during the 2nd stage of hanging by a thread due to no life left for revival. I realize now that it's just not invulnerability during CQC but also 2 or 3 seconds after she finishes killing one of us.

I uninstalled the game after that match. I should have never given the game another try but because I didn't uninstall it then, and the temptation was high since I was bored.

The game has so much potential, characters + weapons + skills are all unique and interesting; it can be a 100 million dollar game but somehow it's not that good because of minor things.

Uninstalled.

sorry you feel that way, it sounds like that Alacia, probably had some kind of build that gave her a few seconds of invulnerability after a cqc action, there are some cards like that.. The problem is that its hard to tell when another player is using what card, there's not really a lot of tells for a person's build. Which at the end of the day can look like the game is wigging out on you in an unfair way. I am beginning to question the overall  concept of the game. Does it want to tell a story? does it want to truly stick to a 4 vs. 1 gameplay style? does it want to be a 3rd person shooter? it seems a lot of the old fans seem to have up and left and normally, a big triple A game wouldn't care about this because its still pleasing new fans, but spacelords seems to please very few and is falling into a dangerous place. I'm sure that mercury is very sad that you left the game, I hope they do something soon to lift the series off the ground. Maybe it needs a new direction, or a primary focus on one thing. Everyone seems to love the character stories and designs, thats why I first liked the series. I dunno maybe some new kind of game modes, but something needs to be done.

steam says I haven't played since February 13th, its true gears of war took my interest, and now genshin impact has its claws in me.

So did I miss anything interesting? any new characters? new levels and story? all I ever hear about this game is how unfair the hero or antag system is by a youtuber I watch.

Whats new with you? how was your holiday?

As much as I hate battle arena type games like fortnite,  because I love the characters in spacelords so much I actually would play a spacelords/fortnite style game set in this universe.

But maybe instead of an adventure mode with the objectives make a cool bounty hunter mode that resembles gears of war hoard mode. Let an npc or antagonist set up some defenses on a map and the raiders have to get through and capture their bounty. Sorta like a reverse hoard mode.

Spacelords Universe / Re: Top 5 Best and worst Skins.
 on: April 24, 2019, 06:14:13 PM
I'm going to disagree with the alicia default skin: yeah she looks like she dabbles in drugs but she is with the war dogs the group that is over the top with their main ideal about, yeah if you can shape the mind to think your soldiers are unbeatable walking death machines then they will keep coming at you no matter what. Even if that means having to alter the mind with narcotics or mind altering drugs. I thought alicia looked cool and bad ass, she looks totally punk rock and the ideal bad girl. Her default skin to me is what drew me to her.

I will agree with hans: hans is probably my least favorite character. It's not because he is old or anything there are plenty of old cool soldiers done well like solid snake. Hans also to me is a popular character simply for his jetpack. But to me, his default skin always looked kind of silly. I thought his rising sun skin was cool but it definitely takes away from the old man personality. His cook skin to me is his best. I guess they wanted to go for a flight suite kind of vibe for his default skin but maybe its just the color pallet for me? It reminds me of salmon or imitation crab.

I haven't gotten to play loath or umbra just yet but to me loath just reminds me of a fat unstable trevor from gta5. So he isnt too appealing to me. His latest skin to me is honestly the most interesting. I understand the blur effect but to be honest I think it could be better without it. Trust me I dont want to see it but so few games break the mold with full body nudity but its probably for the best lol

Honestly I'm surprised konstantin isnt on your list. I always felt his skins were some of the most boring. The hooded one he has looked a little more cool in the comic for some reason.

Spacelords’ Advice / debauchery card
 on: April 13, 2019, 10:49:06 PM
there is a card for the umbra war dogs class, and the card reads that shots from the remaining 75% of your clip cause 100% more reaction, and 300% with an aleph boost. what does this mean? I thought it would cause bad guys to stagger more but I don't see it happening ever.

wow I liked the antag system until you all mentioned the broken builds and even people trying to be friendly to the raiders which kinda defeats the whole purpose of being an antag, you know though, the whole antag system breaks the whole immersion if you think about it. When you first boot up the game Cortez leans into the screen a whispers to the player "If you want to switch sides later thats totally cool too." Not to mention the antag works for that giant space slug worm entity, which says really weird things that sort of break the fourth wall too by saying weird gamerish lingo like noobs or even his voice actor talks kind of weird....hm I guess the antag system needs a look under the hood after all in a future update.

Spacelords Universe / Re: Character's country
 on: March 22, 2019, 10:19:53 PM
yeah it is strange in a future space adventure to see any concrete nationality to the character, I mean most of them are divided up from their factions. That came from one big colonization of humans that classically as humans are tend to split politically. In Konstantin's case considering he is mostly robotic, his voice could just have came from something his brain was downloaded to. So his factory setting could just be that he got a russian voice. I don't know.

I think there is a lot that goes on in the background that we don't see in-game. For instance Ayana is said to work for hades, because in return hades faction pays her big bucks that she in turn give back to her hometown, a mining community. If we think about this, that means there's some form of society that has some kind of everyday life. If we go back to the archives and read about the first group of humans that came to the broken planet. They are a corporation that kept their findings a secret and was whisked away to deep space. If we then think about a corporation type society often a corporation (specially a technological based one) we could get diversity from all kinds of places around the world. They would hire all kinds of people that are the best of the best in their field of work, regardless of where they are born. That could be the root of where all the different nationality voices stem from. So imagine the first colony of people that were whisked to the broken planet a sort of mayflower if you will....

Or IDK maybe the voice actors were like lol this guy looks like he would rock a russian voice, Ima give him a russian accent. boom. Konstantin lives for mother fith council.

Suggestions / Re: inside spacelords #13
 on: March 22, 2019, 10:02:52 PM
Hi Poetpix,

As we have explained several times in another threads, we are going to improve the shuffle system eventually. Right now we are focused on the Roadmap, which includes a new progression system (the Adventure Mode) mentioned in the video, the Space Identity update and a lot of features meant to improve the game (and Sööma, of course).

So please, be patient. Big changes take time to apply.

Thank you!

Well, thank you for replying back about the shuffle system, a lesser development team would have said lol yolo and ignore the subject. I am looking forward to the ever expanding world of spacelords and can't wait to see what is in store for the game.
