Individual stats and rewards can lead to a wierd competition.

Like letting teammates die on pourpose to steal aleph from elite enmies and be the one that acomplish the mission.

That could be worst than the actual system.

You have to pay for PS plus to have online access to most games. You also get some free monthly games and exclusive discounts on sales or sometimes even exclusive sales. Same principle is for X box as far as I know. I am pretty sure that all ratings on PS store for this game are from PS plus subscribers because people without PS plus can only play solo mode.
The only games that I've played and which didn't require PS plus for online were 3 on 3 freestyle (free to play game with heavy pay to win emphasis) and Final Fantasy XIV which is MMO with monthly subscription anyways.

Is it world wide or it depends of geographic areas... EU, USA, ASIA..

I actually took the time to check PS4 store - Eternal Soldier 4/5 stars; Alien Myths 4,5/5 stars; Wardog Fury 4/5 stars; Ultimate edition DOESN'T HAVE ANY RATING YET.

That is good to know, that at least on PS4 Store they have good ratings.

Could you explain to me how the PS Plus suscription works? I think they have Wardog Fury campaign available for "Free" (actually is not free because you are paying a suscription) to the suscribers of that service. That could explain the positive reviews.

At least on PS4 store there are lot of games that are not free to play on FREE TO PLAY section: demos, just some parts of online etc.

It is a shame.

They added printscreens and trailer for Eternal Soldier (which is free to play btw, so it's put in the right section). Most people will look at those instead of rating stars. I for one actually don't even know how to rate something on PS store and don't care much about doing something like that. The trailers are cool, the print screens are cool and the rest is up to PS4 users to try the game themselves.

The company must work, take feedback and try to have a good game online reputation. All those bad reviews, form a bad concept of the game in the user minds, and if you try a game knowing that others have reviewed it as bad, as soon you see any trouble with it you will join the bad reviewers point of view.

Is harder to go against everyone than joining the mass opinion. MercurySteam have not worked at all in this game online reputation.

The mix "Free to Play", "Episodic", "Full AAA price" marketing aproach is horrible. No one have seen anything like that before, and no one is going to take the time to understand it.

People looks other game prices and compared with "RotBP" price, this one have little to offer.

They are calling the attention of people that want to play for free and trying to sell them a 60€ game, that needs grinding to have acces to the character's they have payed for...

What could go wrong?

Character cost 180k
Average gold per match with antag and score of 7+ gets u about 2k , time spent about 30min

The math :
180000 ÷ 2000 × 30 = 2700 hours of grinding

About 112days of straight grinding with no food or water or bathroom break or spending gold on lore or guns etc..

WRONG.

180000 / 2000 = 90 missions.
90 missions * 30 minutes each = 2700 minutes!
2700 minutes / 60 minutes each hour = 45 hours.

Playing everyday 2 hours = 22 days to unlock the new character.

actually, missions last around 10 minutes - 20 minutes. If you need more time is because you don't know how to acomplish them, or because you are playing with new players that don't know.

MIS IMPRESIONES COMO ANTAGONISTA:
El modo antagonista en líneas generales es divertidísimo "pero" yo creo que tiene algunos aspectos susceptibles de mejorar. Lo que más llama la atención es que el juego no parece estar MAL BALANCEADO a favor de los raiders por error, no, está hecho así a propósito.

En el mes que llevo desde que descubrí el juego esto es lo que más me ha molestado.

Así, sin previo aviso, se destruye completamente la cualidad principal del juego y en MercurySteam se quedan tan panchos...

Otra de las cualidades del juego, las distintas habilidades de los personjes y el poder jugar (aunque sea repitiendo la misma misión) de maneras diferentes, también se la cargan y tan a gustito.

Ahora de antagonista juegas con Hans y punto!

Un retroceso del juego, si son capaces de hacer esto, que es lo que no serán capaces de hacer...

I appreciate the feedback from other players, but Im at a lost for words with this game.  I have done everything got a team, got high scores, had Antagonist, but still no luck.
My brother has Xbox one we farmed for it on there for a week before war dog fury release. Took about 5 days but we got it and the had to wait for Antagonist rank. Now after release of content it’s harder to find because it’s on a level with 3 common weapons. And they drop 9 times out of 10. So I have been trying get 1 weapon for 2 weeks on 2 different consoles with no luck. I just don’t have it in me to play this game the same mission for the 1000th time only to get an Aura Mortis. To hell with this game! Haven’t even seen a coin flip for it.

the weapon don't drop every 10 of 9 matches. the probability to appear is unknown. I have used that number only as an example.

I still don't have it either!

The general idea sounds very good, but reading that blueprint drop rates  would stay the same is very unappealing. they're most sot after and the most game changing. Having them still locked behind a really annoying drop rate makes all the other randoms drops out to be filler to hide the issue.

This is My Idea.

Removing the frustration with rewards making available always 4 options.
Allowing at least 2 ways to acquire stuff.

1º With ramdom mission rewards.
2º Buying straight with game currencies.  (Gold, Stigmas, Faction, Character, MercuryPoints).



(Rare Cards are included in the Ramdom Reward Slot minor probability of appearance)

This increase the probability that at least 1 player don't have the "ramdom" reward and take it. And in case that 2 or more players want the same reward they can use other option  instead, taking currency to buy it.

The competition for rewards is not removed, because rare cards can appear, and blueprints too. If you want a rare card, you can buy it for a higher price.

The blueprints will keep not appearing, but you have always something to take.

With the amount of Cards the "demand" of Faction / Character points is huge! but gives the player the feeling of instant progress.

Almost each mission you do, you have a ramdom reward, but you don't need to compete to take it, because you can buy it instead.

There are hundres of cards in the game, so the combinations are huge, each mision gives a feeling of progress.

Remove the shuffle card deck option -- change it for a card deck collection.

Why include Stigmas.
1º Some players don't like to play as antagonist.
2º Compensate the loses of bad matches as antagonist.
3º Allow to buy Stuff with a requirement of a number of stigmas instead of Antagonist Rank.
4º allow to change stigmas for other currencies, gold, character, faction, points.
5º No need to wait a whole week for building a weapon.

to build a weapon you need 10 stigmas + gold for example, if you don't like to play antagonist, just take, stigmas from ramdom rewards.

The stigmas reward should be an equivalent of an Antagonist match. This can be represented with a ramdom number between (1-10) numbers 1,2,3 and 8,9,10 should have less probability of appearance, representing extremely bad antagonist matches and extremely good antagonist matches. numbers 4,5,6,7 should have a higher probability of presence representing the avarage antagonist match reward.

This is going to need.
1º More voice acting from Cortez.
2º Removing all the normal cards from players inventories. Or just add the new system with the new Cards that are going to be included.
3º Rare Cards adquired already by players should remain in their inventories.

Cortez only have this 2 sentences "Lucky lucky a weapon bluprint" or "No luck this time", should be added "Sentence for Cards, Stigmas... and every reward available".

How to balance this:
Random rewards probability of appearance:
1º A random number of stigmas.
2º Normal Faction / character cards.
3º Rare Faction / Character cards.
4º Weapon Blueprints (the same appearance ratio as now)
5º Lotery ramdom rewards. every 10.000 matches a loadout, skin appears ( Crazy idea)

El arma rara de Shae Light Pulse 11C-A no puede matar a Dr. Kuzmann con 3 disparos, ni teniendo la carta en la que hace 40% mas de daño si no has disparado antes durante 10 segundos. Lo que convierte este arma de francotirador en poco útil.

Pues acabo de pensar, que después de terminar los 4 episodios.

Añadir un modo de juego tipo Battle Royale le vendría como anillo al dedo al "RotBP".

Player Unknow's Battlegrounds tiene 26 millones de usuarios en Steam, también está disponible en Xbox One.

Tiene 2.5 millones de jugadores online simultaneos.

Este modo de juego le viene como anillo al dedo a "RotBP". Cada personaje tiene sus cualidades distintas, y para una competición "Battle Royale" donde sólo puede quedar uno podría funcionar para alargar la vida del juego después de las 4 campañas.

La única duda es si el Mercury Engine permite mapas más o menos grandes, no es necesario que sea excesivamente grandes, ya que la parte de "loot" no sería necesaria, ya que los raiders van al campo de batalla con sus armas y toda la munición que puedan llevar, el tener que matar enemigos en melé para recargar también le da su punto.
