Suggestions / Re: Game Penalties
 on: July 17, 2019, 07:13:21 PM
I'm just playing for the platinum. Once I have it I'll beaving this game for good.

P.S. And ANOTHER match, 50 MMR pu in with 2 rank 6's and an unranked player. Again instant quit at character selection.

Spacelords’ Advice / Loaht's Cookie weapon
 on: July 17, 2019, 07:01:37 PM
Ok, so I built this the other day. With a choice of Caliber, Lethal, Effective and Bounty, I went 13/15 for Caliber and Effective, losing 4% damage and critical chance in order to get 4 points extra in Lethal. However, the criticals aren't that high, around 230. The low range really isn't good making  boss fights with this weapon a waste of time, Heck, I couldn't even hit Marmalade!
With such a low range and not that much damage, with minimal push, what really are the benefits of this weapon, when Loaht's first weapon DRAGÉE does a huge push with pretty much the same crit chance?

Suggestions / Game Penalties
 on: July 17, 2019, 02:29:49 AM
Look,

If a player quits a game they do so for various reasons. For example, I quit a mission, I already have a 9.0 on as a Raider because I was teamed up with 2 rank 6's and an unranked player. There's no way I was getting a better score and if an Antag joined, very probably a loss due to him/her targeting my teammates. Also mission difficulty would be very hard for them. I quit. Then it means my Guild Aequilibrium bonus drops as well. That was 25 minutes ago and they're still on the mission. Your 'cancel' button, when asked if you want to rejoin or not is broken. It puts you back in the game if you press it - game testers hello???
So, I'll get a 5 minute penalty, but making me wait until they finish the game is asinine! I could be helping others during this time.

**Edit**
After a 30 minute game end wait + penalty, my next game after a long wait is with another 3 rank 6's. Again an instant game quit before the game started. I've no desire of blundering through the Aneska mission, that'll likely take nearly 30 minutes to finish, if I finish. I have an MMR of 46. What does this mean? Your pool of players is dropping MSE.

***Another Edit***

In fact remove penalties altogether and allow players to drop into a game if they're missing players. You have no in-game player block mechanism, which won't team you up with said players. I'll instantly quit any game with a player I dislike. You have to give people the option to play or not to. Penalising them for refusing is draconian. I hate taunts and people who taunt me get blocked immediately.

Spacelords Universe / Re: Where are the experienced players?
 on: July 17, 2019, 01:27:36 AM
I quit playing months ago despite absolutely loving the game when I first picked it and being passionate about the potential it had to be something truly incredible. Why did I quit? Super easy to answer. The playerbase had been almost entirely in unison telling the devs exactly how to fix and improve the game to polish it into the gem we all (at the time) knew it could be. The devs instead literally never once listened and instead pandered to the demands of the game's most toxic minority that made up some 5% of the population at best. Then once the playerbase started to nosedive as a result of them seemingly intentionally spitting in the face of their fans they went into cash squeeze mode and since then every update has been designed to create new paywalls and get the few people left to spend more and more money just to have the hope of enjoying the game. I genuinely think MSE knows this game is doomed already and behind the scenes is just trying to figure out how to milk any money they still can from it before it completely shuts down.
Yes. Within gaming forums there is a wealth of experienced gamers. I'm not talking of 20 something gamers who've been playing for ten years, but people who have been playing for 40+! These people know games, not some young developer with a computing degree. But there is sadly arrogance and they think they know best. EA is suffering for it with Bioware, the creators of two of the best franchises in gaming now sinking to the bottom of the sea. Mass Effect Andromeda flopped. Dragon Age Inquisition also. And EA's Anthem is dead. They never listened to their players.
I nearly have a platinum on Spacelords and once I get it, hasta la vista. No need to move past lvl 158 as there are no more armour, resistance and brute strength gains. I'll have all characters and weapons. Sure they can add more storylines but I can't advance as a player. No interest really after that.
Could you imagine playing DC Universe, Neverwinter, Guild Wars or any other MMO, getting to level 30 and that was it? No super gear, extra skills, super excellent gear etc? This is what Spacelords is - an effective player advancement cap at lvl 158.

Spacelords Universe / Attaining a score of 325; Is it worth it?
 on: July 16, 2019, 05:16:47 PM
So, for a score of 325, to receive an extra 50k gold, means an average score of 9.558 on each mission. It's a massive jump from the last prize score of 280 which requires an average of 8.235.
Now they've seriously nerfed gold, faction point and XP awards, after pot play and 4 dailies is it really worth the grind to get this score?
I'm a T1, Rank 3 player, currently sitting on about 316 points with a couple of 10's, a couple of 9.9's and a mix of low to medium 90's left. The thing is, some missions, to get high scores as an Antagonist are really hard to do. The same for some raider missions also. The grind needed to get 325 is a hard one so what's the point with the terrible rewards for long play time?

Is anyone here chasing the 325 or now, after the update, like me just happy to sit with the 280 score with a final 260 gold bonus, instead of 310 with the 325 score? I can hit the 280 pretty easily on just the dailies. As a raider, I can hit the average in just over 2 days play of just dailies. And luck permitting, the same as an Antagonist. So, technically, no need to really play this anywhere near as much as I was.

if they are going to gouge out their own eyes to the problem of veteran leaving the game faster than people in an elevator with someone who just farted, then they are definitely unable to correct any of the real problem.
If I was running Mercury Steam I'd do the following:

1. All artists, animators, modelers and game designers I'd take out for a nice meal and night of beer.
2. All devs I'd take them to NASA, put them on a shuttle, name it the 'Starship Titanic', destroy the guidance system and send them into space. Who knows, they may crash land on The Broken Planet.
3. Employ new devs and tell them to read and implement what the gaming community is telling them.
4. Actually charge a one off fee to buy the game.

Suggestions / Re: antag desertion
 on: July 16, 2019, 03:35:01 PM
It's understandable why raiders and Antags quit. My team just survived a T1, R1 Doldren and it was a relatively low ranked team on a mission where the environment greatly benefited him/her. The minute I saw him, I proposed a quick surrender and ironically it was the two low ranks who decided to play. Myself and my team mate, also a T1 player were both going for rare BP's. We JUST scraped through, with myself managing to dish out the damage to the boss, while trying to avoid the Antag. Had the Antag just targeted me he probably would have won as I was knocking about 45% off the boss health bar every shot. It's not fun when a BP is on the line. Thank goodness we made it. Would have been even worse had been a last chance pot play.

But yes, stupid punishing players who quit because the enemy is way too strong for them. Put it this way, I played a mission, as an Antag Shae and hit all 4 players with a burst from Sa'Dhu. They all hit wounded state, one shot by enemy grunts, one killed by an elite heavy who took the aleph and used a super boost, chasing the remainind raider, whom he caught after I wounded him again, with a couple of well placed shots. Two players quit there and then.

Suggestions / Remove Antagonists on Blueprint missions.
 on: July 16, 2019, 03:26:13 PM
As the title suggests. Considering you've decided to go all SCROOGE on your players and drastically reduce all rewards, removing the chance of winning a BP greatly, the least and I mean THE LEAST you could do is make those missions PvE only. Or if you want to then just keep passing the BP award to the next game until people win it. Seriously, you've cut down daily BP award by 300%. That's not on.

Here's another suggestion; how about rewarding Antagonists, as well as give people the incentive to play them, by winning what they don't such as BP's, gold, and FP's? I think winning against an enemy team should be better rewarded.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Doldren is still too powerful
 on: July 16, 2019, 05:11:55 AM
I owned two doldren players nonstop. he did get me a few times, but i started focusing on him. watching out for where he hides behind, looking for his vulnerable body while he goes astral. and waiting around corners then another where i took advantage of him going after other players on my team.  i quickly run towards him then grappled him.  or as before, shot my gun towards him to drop him to zero then finish him.  there is strong doldrens, but for me it's about staying on the move and looking all around you. as well look for his vulnerable body, he's most likely in astral form looking to attack. i always look for this and quickly grapple. it's also about being just as patient as him, wait for him to strike in the wrong place and wrong time then punish  it lol.
You were a raider, yes? If there's a Doldren Antagonist, up against a raider team with a Doldren, then they'll, literally be the Antagonist hunter. It's far, far easier to hunt Antagonist Doldren as Doldren, than vice versa. Any team that sticks together is a nightmare for Antagonist Doldren. Teams, however, who stick together close are a joy to other Antagonists though.

Again, pre 2nd July patch you had, your 3 x 8 hour rotations. You were looking at a high chance of obtaining at least 2 common blue and a rare blueprint, sometimes 3 blue and 2 rare if you were lucky. If you lost the mission, you could replay until you won. So now, with the post July 2nd update, they realised they were being incredibly stingy with blueprints and threw in one blue or rare (very rare chance) daily. However if you lose, it goes into the next day pot and if you lose the pot mission, hasta la vista blueprint. You would have thought they'd at least give you a blue once a day? Nope. And if you do win it then it shouldn't be a duplicate.
At the moment, terrible decisions are being made. I really think they just want to weed out all the veterans/high level, T1 players so as to continue removing all rewards and have no one to complain, on the forums, to the new players how things used to be.

This is why the new pot is useless. Pre July 2nd patch, if you were a serious gamer you could make 100k gold in a day, a hell of a lot of XP and ok faction points as the payout was ok. If you lost a blueprint/gold/faction point/XP multiplier award mission, you played until you did win.
Mercury Steam, for some reason only want casual gamers, hence why they made all the changes. My advice for making gol is to get in a guild and have all payers carry a Bounty weapon they have max points in, especially with the new system. It really sucks but that's just the way it is. I've lost a couple of daily pots, both also with BP's in.

Bug report & Technical Support / Same cards on Doldren rerolls.
 on: July 15, 2019, 01:40:16 AM
Now it's not a joke anymore. Spent over 300k on rerolls for Doldren and I'm pretty much getting the same cards over and over. There hasn't been ONE CQC card drop in well over 50 rerolls. This is definitely a bug. Constantly getting URGENCY, VENDETTA, SKILL & CONCENTRATION or the rare version occasionally.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Antagonist change
 on: July 14, 2019, 07:13:52 PM
There's lots of things that should happen when playing as an Antagonist, but they don't. Much higher rewards for starters. After all, it's you vs 4 after all. More so, Aequilibrium bonus should move up a lot more when winning as an Antagonist. At the moment it's crap.

Spacelords Universe / Re: Some advice for your 5 daily matches
 on: July 14, 2019, 07:10:41 PM
.....Antagonist matches are hell because of that, my weapon is very underpowered and the newbies do nothing against the antag.
I use two cards on Hans which greatly helps me out against Antagonists. I can't remember their names but one gives high CQC damage after using the jetpack and the other high CQC for 2 seconds after firing. So I just swoop in fire and then WALLOP! Normally it takes all their health in one hit and it's game over. I'm getting very little damage actually attacking the enemy. Utterly useless against the Fifth Council, but then, the power after firing for CQC does a good job.

I was in a guild where I played with another two players and we had a 98% Bounty bonus after each match. That was good, more so because they were also good players and knew their game. We never lost one game. However the guild disbanded and they're on the PC so I can't contact them.

Bug report & Technical Support / Re: Loaht infinite beast form
 on: July 14, 2019, 06:17:18 PM
What bug is that?
I've found that his beast form is utterly useless because not only are his attacks, although powerful, not very easy to aim, but also because it lasts hardly any time, before you have to shift out of beast form or explode.
