Easy mode single player is quite controlled. Its hard to die, you will learn the basic layout of the missions which is also very important , and its a good way to try out different weapons to see how useful they are against different enemies and bosses, it is the ultimate practice mode.  ;)

Arena mode should draw alot of players that prefer playing as the antagonist  thats for sure. It should mean less of a pvp presence in the main game. I look forward to this...Buuuuuuttttt dont be surprised if some new blueprints require you to play Arena to unlock them...Won't that be fun?

Then the problem will persist and there will be a large contingent of PvEers going into Arena mode AFKing with TH maxed out on their weapons. This is what they do for antagonists mode at the moment, I hope you and MSE are proud.

Force people to do things and they will come up with the most inventive ways to do what they are being forced to do with the least amount of unpleasant experience as possible.

Drow I hope you realize I was being sarcastic. It would not be fun to have blueprints locked behind Arena Mode. It would be terrible for those of us who prefer pure pve.  ;)

Yes Drow the main problem with finding the right balance with weapon damage lies in having to deal with the mmr level of enemies, never players. Players will die the same way to an exploding  headshot from Iune's Wisdom, but at 60 mmr it takes me 3 friggin headshots with a max forged Wisdom built for max lethality to kill them. That is beyond ridiculous. Make the enemies less clumsy, less likely to jam their weapons, increase dropship rate, increase their numbers, but for the love of Christ if an engineer needs two headshots on hanging by a thread then I dont know what else Mercurysteam could do to make me feel underpowered on the broken planet.

Since the "Nerf" of the R&R I have noticed less Alicia Antags. I see her more on stages where her abilities can really take advantage of the terrain as opposed to every mission all the time. She is still a force to be reckoned with but the slight damage decrease does mean players have a little more of a chance of putting up a fight against her. It also means the antagonists using Alicia need to up their game to be successful in the mission when their first shot isnt an instant crit state. Matches have felt more balanced and Im pleased overall.

However you cant invite them to play with you or vice versa. Only through random matchmaking can you play together.

Mr. Tooeasy if this game has rubbed you the wrong way this bad and you are ONLY level 29, this game is just not for you. Go with your instinct on this one and play something that makes you happy. Im not a huge fan of antagonist system either but Beer the Brad is right, its not going anywhere.

Some weeks ago I tried looking for an official past dev response, I even just right out asked on this forum, yet not response, the truth is anyone now saying ” its not going anywhere” is talking out of their ass, although small there is still a chance and it’s probably the only thing that will allow for some player retention and less toxicity.

Whitebleidd, Mercurysteam has said from the very beginning that this game was a 4v1 third person shooter. The antagonist mechanic a featured part of the story and representing Uras Beherit's physical presence on the battlefield to hinder the raiders. If 100% of the playerbase complains about the Rng in the game and they haven't changed that, they arent going to discard one of the key features they built into this game in the Antagonist system.
   The upcoming Arena mode SHOULD draw alot of the dedicated pvp'ers in on a regular basis so they can get alot of their jollies there and leave the campaigns to the pve crowd (including myself) but they are not likely to exclude the option to antag in the campaign because they are in love with the feature.

Please fix it. Rage inducing situation. Elites never miss their cqc, maybe Harec is recruiting the wrong people to liberate the broken planet. I have the embarrassing screenshots to prove it  :-[

And the other way to lower mmr is do plenty of matchmaking with randoms. Once you hit mmr 50-60 with matchmaking you will get level 1's that quit quickly and level 60's that appear as lost as the level 1's and because of the difficulty of the enemies you will get overwhelmed quickly. Its what I have come to call, 'maintaining my mmr' or the 'goldilocks mmr' it never gets too high or too low because you can always count on players that have no business on certain maps being there to drag the whole team down. 
  I realized I got completely off track and didnt really address the topic as well as I intended. Long story short, being a 'friendly' antag is one way to lower mmr and the other way is to let random matchmaking do it for you. Jumping as a group is another way, but it is very uncool to suicide by yourself and ruin the match for everyone else.  :o

Well unless they release other characters that dont have the usual build a weapon and draw 3 faction/character cards achievement attached to them like every previous raider has had then Valyria is it anyway. Either way its pretty sad news that the final campaign sports only 3 achievements and 1 new character. I had hoped after Council Apocalypse dropped they would do the same thing as the previous campaigns, feeding us new characters and weapons to keep us coming back for more, I fear its shaping up to be the opposite. I really hope I am wrong though.

If she isnt going to be available as a playable character in the game. To this point every humanoid boss encountered in the game has found a way onto the roster (Kuzman, Schneider). With General Krausher out of the picture and Aneska failing in her mission to stop the Raiders she appears to be a lock to appear as a playable hero right? Doesn't seem so unfortunately. As it stands right now it seems we will only be  getting the new Fifth Council cyborg Valiria (spelling?) and she is the only character trophy for the 4th campaign "Council Apocalypse".
  As someone who was really looking forward to atleast 2 additional Raiders for the final campaign, her apparent exclusion is heartbreaking. It would be easier to bear if the first image I see everytime I return to the website wasnt a big tease of an incredible character I will never get to play in this game.  :'(

P.S. This is an unrealistic ask but I want to let MercurySteam know how sad I am about this.
