Suggestions / Still Too Many Antagonists

Can you tone down the amount of invasions we get? not having fun. Antag always results in less rewards for raiders as they drive your score down and so you get less rewards. Seems to be a waste of raiders time and there is no pay off for us even if we win.

I've been getting a lot of new players who are disconnecting from playing against high level antagonists and you guys are losing them, I'm watching them get angry because a high level antagonists is just amusing themselves with lowbies, they leaving.

Haven't had a win in a long time, too many invasions. i'm  not getting anywhere. Not having any fun at all. I'm gonna have to start spamming the surrender and suiciding to get out of antag games ASAP if I can't get more games without them. I'm not given much of a choice. there simply too many antagonists. and it's pissing me off. NOT FUN at all. I feel like i'm wasting time. T

This needs to change. Make this PvP optional please.

As many of you have seen, Genebra's health in Panther mode was reduced to 60, and her Schleuder was reduced in damage as well as the laser on it. This coupled with the 5th council 3% reduction to their damage reduction.

Thoughts?

If you can keep feathering the trigger and keep the barrels rolling without overheating than this is his best weapon.

If you hate mooks and adds this is also the best weapon. Not only does it push them back, but it also makes them flinch with impact which STOPS them from doing whatever it was they were doing. Other weapons may damage enemies well, but none of them NECESSARILY stop AI from attacking you as well. Sigh with recharge card can do pretty good and is fantastic for protecting your allies from antagonists, but this is the only one I can think that can compete with Tolchok.

I don't play aggressive antagonists, and I haven't used it against an antagonists yet. Have any of you out there to report on it's success against other players? I just BARELY got the gun and only experienced it with enemy AI.

I'm still seeing "him" in games AFKiing as a raider and then taking his undeserved share of the rewards. I thought people were reporting him? I know there have been many post about him and in those post MSE gives them the way to report him. But I am still seeing him in games.

For those of you who are still unclear of him, his name rhymes with "Cash the Freeman" or "Smash the Seaman" and this horrible player's name conjures up an image of a very fast denizen of hell. I hope you all know now, but we aren't allowed to name him.

My question is, why am I still seeing him online? And further more, why is he STILL cheating the rest of us out of rewards? Why hasn't he been banned?

For the record I had him in a game on my PC (steam account) on the map "The Beasts Lair" on Saturday (5/19/18) at about 12:50 to 1:00 PM Arizona Time, he was playing Hans, I was Ginebra (level9drow), my friend (Mechpilot40) was Alicia and the other player was Iune. I hope that is specific enough for you to locate the game MSE.

We really shouldn't be seeing this guy online anymore.

On the cut scene on Hanging by a Thread where Harec discusses saving Lycus from Hades Division and after a small argument from Alicia they disperse to do the mission, Hans stops Harec on the side and says that this mission would be the last time he helps and that "His business can't wait." Harec replies, "Whatever."

What is Hans "business" and why can't it wait?

Now that our weapons get stronger and we have to get blueprints to get them stronger there is a sort of passive lockout of characters. If you have 2 or 3 characters with the cards and your favorite weapon on them maxed out you are basically suicidal to use any characters who DON'T have upgraded weapons, or at least any useful ones. This means that the EFFECTIVE character roster has shrunk and can only grow depending on how lucky you get with blueprints and how much gold you get.

The one thing I can say about the pre-patch game is that you could play any character you had and the only thing limiting its potential is you. But now you can really only afford to play the characters the RNG gods tell you to play.

I have blueprints but not enough gold to build them. And until I do build them that character is off limits to use, unless you want to gimp your team. And even IF you have blueprints for the heroes default weapons, many of the characters default weapons are abysmally terrible. Alicia's default and Eager come to mind. If this is all you have for her in terms of blueprints, don't bother upgrading them unless they're just loot magnets used to AFK as antagonists.

So in a passive way, I have to earn all the characters again. You have to Buy the character, upgrade one of their GOOD weapons (some characters, like Doldren start with good weapons, others like Alicia don't) and then maybe some ok cards, and THEN the character can be played, otherwise they're trash.

I only play a tiny fraction of the characters I have, and I have all of them so far, and at first I dodn't mind, but now I find myself avoiding ANY hero that does not have one of their effective weapons upgraded.

This problem gets worse and worse as you gain levels. My suggestion, please give us more gold. More ways to get it.

This is a very strange thing I noticed the other day. I was "playing" antagonists on the second map of the Hedes Betrayal campaign, I forgot what the name was (it was the one that you are on the 5th Council sky base going after Schnieder and countering his hacking)

Now many of you know that I'm not the most "active" antagonist, I'll admit, that I often don't even spawn, I am just there for the affinity and don't want the head ache of false expectation and failure, but I digress... I had a freind who I normally group with show up there along with a very prominent high level player who I won't name. And I was watching them and they were getting slaughtered by the AI. I didn't do a thing. I asked him in chat what was going on and why were they having a hard time. He replied saying the AI were melee attacking for 150 damage and killing them very quickly with gunfire. I noticed this as well when I was watching them. I ended up winning the mach as antag, the AI carried the whole thing. I felt REALLY bad for them and we talked more about it after the mach as to why they didn't win in a mach where there was essentially no antagonists.

He pointed out that in a previous game were were in together, on the same level, we noticed the same thing. The antag was a Lycus, not the greatest and not the worst, but what we noticed was that the majority of the damage was from the AI. I remembered that they were wounding me with one single kick or punch, I thought it was a glitch or just happened a few time, so I ignored it at the time. Consequently it tilted me greatly (and thus was the reason I went to get my affinity as antag and AFK to calm down). But I noticed that it wasn't a glitch or a isolated issue when I was antagonists, they were getting creamed by the AI.

Now if I understand the system correctly, shouldn't the AI be scaled down a bit in terms of power, health and numbers when an antagonists is present? Maybe I could see the mooks doing 150 damage with a SINGLE melee hit on say 70% plus difficulty with NO antagonists, but I know the MMR of my freind was very similar to mine and also, it happened to me as well, and again, there was an antagonist present. I don't see that AI should EVER do 150 damage with a melee when an antagonists is present.

Please, if anyone has noticed the same thing, please tell us here.

NOTE: When I play as antagonists and choose not to attack it is never my expectation to win, nor should I. I understand that I will lose and am fine with this. I shouldn't win the match against competent players if I am not attacking, this is horribly unfair to them. For those of you who are unaware, I don't attack as an antagonist so that I am not a hypocrite in my views of forced PvP. I can't say I hate PvP and then clobber a bunch of raiders the nest day for my benefit.

If I came off as a c**nt to you guys, I'm sorry. I need to be more self aware. and some times when you love a game you get..."passionate"...about it. I have to put things into perspective and think more about what I love and less about what I find annoying. If you truly love something you can look at it's good points over it's "work in progress" features.

Always running and punching and not sniping, so much heart.
Never using the Stalk ability (and when they finally discover it they will realize Harec doesn't suck at all).
Never getting on the elevator with everyone else while running around confused, and punching things.
Always left behind ;_;.
Wandering off to look at something weird.
Always standing suspiciously close to Ginebras...we vets just recruit her do do what he's doing ;).
Always spamming they are out of ammo and not punching baddies.
Always picking up the explosive canister when there is a Konstantin, Kuzman or Lycus jumping furiously around them, at least he's trying to be helpful.
Will keep trying to grab even though the mooks kick him over and over again.
Will run into a mob of 4 or 5 mooks and an elite, all by himself, how brave.
Always trying to shoot the gun ships /facepalm.
When he finally uses the high caliber turret he doesn't get off when he's dying and dies heroically.
AND to add to that, inappropriately uses the high caliber turret while a Kuzman, Konstantin and Ginebra furiously jump up and down around him, but it's the BEST spent 60 health anyone could use, damn it.
Never choosing a reward at the end of the game -_-.

Suggestions / Indicator Lines on Short Fused

I watch a lot of YouTube videos of RotBP and I noticed that new players playing online multiplayer on the Short Fused map, second phase, often don't realize that A) They can destroy the extractor, but most of all B) How many times they have to blow it up.

When they realize they have to get Aleph to charge it 5 times I notice they begin to do this in pieces without first destroying the extractor to buy time while they get a full stack of 5. I believe this is because they have no idea how many times they have to blow the extractor up because there is just one yellow line up top with no indication of how many times.

My suggestion would be to add lines between each extractor health segment on the extractor health bar at the top to indicate to players how many times they have to perform the action. This will give new players a sense of the scope of urgency and will get them to understand they need to build stacks and/or destroy the extractor.

Bug report & Technical Support / Makilium is Missing

Ayane's weapon Makilium, Mikilium, not sure how to spell it, has dropped twice for me so far and both times I chose it, won it, didn't even have to roll, and it said I received it in the rewards screed (the one where it shows the XP you gained and what items you got) but it's not there on Ayana's character page to choose. The game think I don't have it. This is the second time it has done this.

You don't have to refund me, or anything, just please fix the bug so that when we win Makilium we actually REALLY win it.

Is there a max level? Andif there is, how can you gain affinity for cards and weapons at this point? And if there isn't a max level, how strong to the passives get? Do they have a limit?

Suggestions / Too Many Antagonist Now

There are WAY too many antagonists infesting games now. Is there any way we can get a system in here soon that allows players who actually like fighting antagonists to opt in as priority? Give them more rewards, etc... That way those of us who just want to enjoy ourselves and, you know, have fun, can do so in peace.

I don't mind less rewards, but currently offline is absolutely pointless and doesn't reward anything, and it's more fun with 4 players doing a mission.

Let me ask this question: Where can a person who just wants to play a multi-player cooperative hero shooter go to just have fun and progress in levels and items? I kind of thought this would be that game. Even Overwatch rewards for playing against AI, and now they have Archives this month and these PvE missions CANNOT get invaded by PvPer, and this is a purely PvP game we're talking about.

Can you guys think about something to alleviate the misery PvEers are going through now, please? I like this game, but I don't know how much more I can do this. I'm just not having fun anymore. Plain and simple. And the reason is antagonists.

This is currently the most frustrating and annoting mission. Can we reduce the adds that spawn on this mission by a bit?

Reason: It is possible to SSSSLLLLOOOOOOWWWLLLLYYYY get through the missions, but it takes 40 minutes, and hour, etc... and the rewards are pathetic for that slice of time. This mission needs to either reward a LOT more or the adds need to reduce.

I now decline this mission whenever it comes up, it's a horrible experience. Waste of time, not worth the rewards.
