two questions:
1. is there a region lock? (I play with people from russia and I'm in europe, both on steam though)
2. are you aware of the ping it might bring?

depending on the first answer, I would suggest it might be a PS oder Xbox thing,

since identity: every headshot (no need to kill) gives you a crit shot.
Put switch to crit bullet on another button then, I have scroll-wheel down for special.

The damage is alright, but I headshot ennemies fully charged and they survive. My aim is merciless, that should help. Also it might be worthwile going a bit for exterminator.

Right now I enjoy Doldren with Bloody Mary a bit more for such gameplay.

I would favor something, where we could choose the antag and some mission parameters (i.e. difficulty), even if we wouldn't get rewards.

Would be great for testing, for streaming and so on.

Hey,

I've played over a dozen matches with the team up or die patch.

I'm a bit indifferent on the 2.5 seconds wounded time, it feels faster but less threatening. It's probably good for beginners. It's really good that we can move and aim normally while wounded, however I sometimes don't notice that I am wounded. Maybe make the screen a tint more red.

The team leader feature, I hate it. It's noisy, it doesn't help if we know what we are doing, if we don't, we probably can't read it anyway because there is so much going on. The commands are not adapted to every situation/team. If I see the antag, I'm gonna attack, if I see an objective, I'm gonna do it, if I see grunts, I'm gonna kill them. Split labour is a problem with biggers maps, one person can't kill only engineers.
Of course I'm gonna give the leader a thumbs up, it's not costing me anything and he gets some pink-currency.

Talking of the pink-currency, please give us more things to spend it on. I have 9999+ (I hope they are not lost) and I wouldn't know what to do with it.

Now for the suggestions:
Raider select, loading screens, as well as intro videos (especially when you skipped and they still go on for 1-2 minutes) would be a great time for team-discussion. Please give us options (either full text or premade phrases like now) during that time.
I want to say to beginners "we need a ranged raider, please pick Harec or Shae", or "we need a tank, please consider 5th council" or "we lack boss damage, please pick accordingly". Also during cutscenes we could say things like "I take the turret tower on the left", "I put aleph in the reactor on top".
And I miss the "come here command", but I understand that you had to cut something.

Now for the teamleader-vote: please change it so that everyone can give a vote to one raider of their choosing that did good. And keep the part, where you can only pick them once per day (or whatever the limit is). It would be way more rewarding and the mission points don't reflect well boss-damage and similar stuff.

On picking the team leader, just a fun suggestion: how about him wearing a crown, and when he dies, he drops it and someone else can pick it up? and if the antag picks it up he can mock the team with commands (not spam).

Also idea for pink currency: aesthetic features like sunglasses, backpacks etc. (maybe only to rent) if that isn't too much work. Or let us bid on who becomes team leader, blind bid and whoever bid the most gets it.

I hope my feedback helps, and for whoever responds, please keep the feedback CONSTRUCTIVE or make your own rant thread.

I can confirm for Aneskas rare, it happened with the mech airstrike. I think it was because I put the centre very close to a wall (on fistful of sand).

Hey, so I did some tests with Hans, using the Usu, always on fistful of sand on solo, hardest mode.
The cards I tested were: linear moment (rare) and non-rare Turbojet.
The damage was always tested on shotgunners, torso shots, no crits.

My findings:
Damage non-flight: 35
Damage flight (no cards): 60
Damage with Turbojet: 79
Damage with linear moment: 81

With Aleph boost:
Damage with Turbojet: 82
Damage with linear moment: 85

Given some variation, I estimated the average.

Analysis:
- There is no significant difference between +25% faster travel and +75% faster bullets, this should be very weird.
- There is (probably) no significant difference between aleph boost and no aleph boost on both cards, which should be mathematicly unlikely.

Conclusion:
This would imply, that there is either a function involved with diminished return on investment (logarithm or square root), or there is a maximum speed modifier on the weapon. Both seem unlikely in game design (but possible).

Dear MSE, could you please check your formulas. If you are allowed to share them, I would be very interested.

Edit: for further testing my hypothesis, I would need a Rak with frenzied tracker, hoping that it works on flight as well.

Antags are playing the game as intended. Raiders intentionally interfering with the bandwith to get an advantage would be an offense to the intended gameplay.

However it's unlikely to be punished here, unless they use special software or something. Try to record it next time, then you have a better chance. Or just accept your fate and hope for a better game next time.

I was (as raider) in such a group where they host-switched when they were loosing. They denied it, I blocked them on steam, after the third time it happened.

+1 on pretty much everything you said, however I want to add too, that you can see the mission timer (8 hour times) when you select a mission. It's a bit more hidden, that's true. Suggestion: make it more prominent, there is a lot of screen space that's mostly empty (at least on my 4k display).

may I recommend to watch some antag streams on twitch (links are on discord normally) to see how to counter such teams?
You're not wrong, that they are a pain, but a win is possible.

if you have the right raiders, on the right map, that is true, easy win.
But in general, no, it's not true. You are too slow to setup the portal in a new direction, raiders can easily avoid you on bigger maps (MoM) and you have damn short legs.

I love Shakura as a raider, but as antag, I think it's too situational. You can make the raiders slower and be a huge pain in the rear, but winning will be tougher than with other antags.

Hi Ojuel,

Thanks for the update. My I suggest that you could have a blog/discussion/discord-news or something small, where you keep those interested up to date if you tweak stats, perhaps explain just a bit what got tweaked and what consequences you hope to get.

That way, if someone feels that matches get harder, etc. they can look if something changed, what changed, if it changed the way MSE wants it and leave a comment if it has any nasty sideeffects.

Example: it was tough to get a match as high mmr antag, you seemed to have tweaked it so that a higher mmr difference was possible. Then Hack got a match with difficulty 0 because he was so much higher than the raiders, then you tweaked it back a bit. It would have been nice to have one place to look up changes and discuss them, and to report problematic behaviour to.

All the people having fun are on discord, I believe :-)

but it's true, this forum seems to have a very vocal group (minority in my opinion). However some complain about exactly the same thing on discord, that they have a vocal minority of antag-lovers.

The Devs seem to have a balanced attitude though and take everything posted with a grain of salt.

The aleph and ammo dropping is starting to grow on me by the way, I just wished it dropped a bit faster.

And for all those complaining, that they don't adopt every suggestion. Thank god game developping isn't a democracy or we would all play in a boring world with infinite gold, where everyone always wins without effort.

actually, after the patch you do get games with 2 Cortez, however rumour has it, that you'll never get an antag there.

It's still not worth it, and every game like that, we surrender at the beginning.

Similar as the JK (even after the patch), if you ask people how you should craft them, or when they are useful, the answer is the same: the weapon is so bad that it's not good for anything on any map with any team.

The worst: I really like the visuals of the gun and I've already bought the skin that would go well it.

My Suggestion: Make the wobble-monster advance on demand, if you keep the special weapon pressed, it advances, if not, it stands still. Thus it would be possible to melt some bosses or have a good shield/bulletblock.

Hi,
In my opinion (as a very regular player), I get too much money. At lvl 200 I had every blueprint for every gun and also every raider. Now at the end of may I'll probably have enough money for every gun I could possibly want and probably for some other as well.

With forge 20 weapons, it's pretty easy getting to 280 fame points and you just get a stupid high amount of money.

My suggestions includes all that bickering about antags: For the monthly points, only count antag matches. It would reward them way more. The way it is now (and always was), an antag lowers your score by way too much, so that they feel like they are costing you money.

I'd like the feeling when I see that I get an antag: "well, one of us is making lots of profit". So in general I'd like non-antag matches to make less money, and antag-matches to make more (for example through that monthly reward).

The problem is that now that I have a score of around 300, I no longer feel motivated to play, since it's unlikely to get a higher score. I mainly wait for friends to come online and to play with them.
