Bug report & Technical Support / Important: CrashDumps (Steam)
 on: January 17, 2018, 05:27:54 PM
To help with bug reporting on Steam, we have created a system that generates a crash file with key information on your computer. If a crash occurs, you can find a CrashDump file in the following path:

"Documents\MercurySteam\Raiders of the Broken Planet\<steam-id>\CrashDumps"

Once you’ve located this file, please send it as an attachment to spacelords_support@mercurysteam.com along with a brief description of what happened, or alternatively post it here in the forums.

Thanks for your support.

Ship's Log / New Economy Update
 on: October 27, 2017, 02:41:53 PM
MercurySteam’s aim is for Raiders of the Broken Planet to evolve and develop in concert with its audience as a reflection of player feedback. With this in mind, the first major update to the game will dramatically change the way a large portion of players can experience this 4 vs 1 counter-operative third person shooter.

So far Raiders of the Broken Planet has hosted over half a million players. The game consists of a free Prologue and 4 adventure driven campaigns, each priced at €/£/$9.99. Previously, the free Prologue players were not able to access the full economy of the game, while those that purchased the Founders Pack or the Alien Myths campaign were. This is changing. In the latest patch, MercurySteam is opening the in-game economy to all.

Players who own or download the free Prologue, will now be able to use Gold, Faction Points and Character Points to unlock new characters, build weapons from blueprints found on the battlefield and unveil pieces of lore from the world of Raiders of the Broken Planet, now having full access to all the game’s features within the Prologue.

Where Mikah, Dr. Kuzmann and Ginebra were previously reserved for Alien Myths players, now anyone will be able to unlock these characters by investing the Gold they have earned during their matches. Players who go on to purchase Alien Myths, will be able to experience the first epic story of season one, and add the lethal sniper Shae - the campaign’s exclusive character - to their ranks.

Alien Myths is told across four adrenaline-fueled missions featuring intense action, unforgettable characters and sumptuous visuals - all delivered at a silky-smooth framerate. MercurySteam is committed to delivering a game that offers great gameplay, story, visuals, and all of it for just €/£/$9.99 per campaign, in addition to the free Prologue.

This is the first of many changes MercurySteam will be making in the next weeks and months to ensure that Raiders of the Broken Planet players have more flexibility and options to enjoy the game’s content.

Ship's Log / Dr. Kuzmann is back!
 on: October 09, 2017, 06:21:33 PM
Once upon a time he was a genius, a brilliant mind and an impressive scientist. Now, little remains of that promising geneticist, and a demented, lunatic, deranged person has taken his place. Long story short, he’s a fucking madman. Dr. Kuzmann is the epitome of the Fifth Council’s scientific division. His limited sanity is focused on torturing and experimenting on his enemies in the most twisted, unimaginable ways.

Dr. Kuzmann, the infamous villain the Raiders faced on the “In Shock” mission is now joining their ranks! He is now available as a playable character for Founders Pack owners.

Ship's Log / Mikah available now for all Alien Myths players.
 on: October 06, 2017, 08:36:48 PM
We have two solid weeks of gaming behind us since we released Raiders of the Broken Planet on September 22, and we would like to thank you all for your time playing the game, sharing content on Social Media, and contacting us to ask questions and leave your feedback on how to make Raiders an even better experience. This is your game now as much as it’s ours!

MIKAH JOINS THE RAIDERS!

Mikah, our favorite two-woman army is now available for all Raiders of the Broken Planet Alien Myths campaign owners. Mikah’s holographic powers are a really powerful addition to the Raiders’ ranks, but beware: for that very same reason she can become a fearsome Antagonist were she selected by the Uras-Beherit’s followers.

#DEVSHOUTS: CHARACTER FOCUS

If you want to learn a few tricks about how to be more effective in your games selecting Mikah as your character, you’ll love our latest Devshout video, where Roberto Texeira (@Dukio), QA Tester at MercurySteam, reveals some wicked tactics for our favourite stowaway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUzWltlxu-M

NEW CARDS!!!

Some of you might have noticed that the game was updated this week. It was a minor patch, including some general bug fixing and the inclusion of new Character and Faction Cards to further tool up your Raiders.

Remember that you can leave your feedback about the game, or report any bugs you might find, in our forum.

See you on the Broken Planet, Raiders.

Hi Raiders!

MercurySteam is pleased to introduce you to Mikah, the latest Raider to join Harec’s ragtag team. Mikah is now available for all Raiders of the Broken Planet Founders Pack owners, 10 days in advance of her official release to the Alien Myths campaign owners.

Mikah is a two-army woman, using her unique “decoy” ability to advance on two fronts at the same time and lay ambushes to unwary enemies. A really valuable addition to the Raiders’ ranks… and a fearsome Antagonist.

UPDATE
We've made some progress on the issue but there's a couple steps that you could take that would really help out.

Please follow the following instructions to see if your license for the Alien Myths DLC is properly enabled:

"If you already own the game and want to see available add-ons to download, select View game details from My games & apps to view any available add-ons on your console. Here’s how:

  - While on the Home screen, scroll to the right, and then press the A button on your controller to open My games and apps.

- Locate the game, and then press the Menu button.

- Select Manage game and then See in Store."

Dear Raiders,

There is a known issue experienced by Xbox One and Windows 10 buyers of Raiders of the Broken Planet Founders Pack: They cannot currently access the Alien Myths campaign, and can only play the free Prologue missions. We are investigating the issue.

Please, accept our apologies. We are working hard to find a solution, and will keep you updated on our progress.

We will also compensate all users who have been affected by this problem. Thanks a lot for your patience and understanding.

Bug report & Technical Support / Squads Known Issue
 on: September 22, 2017, 10:32:08 PM
We are aware there is an existing problem when queuing while being part of a Squad, increasing the time it takes to find a new game. We are working hard to implement a solution as soon as possible.

In the meantime, a partial solution is to seek games in all available maps or disband the Squad and queue individually.

Ship's Log / Live now from the Broken Planet!
 on: September 22, 2017, 09:06:40 PM
“It has taken us three years to get here and I’m so proud to be launching the Prologue and Alien Myths campaign today! We want the barrier of entry to be as low as possible which is why we have a free Prologue, followed by individual €9.99 campaigns, as opposed to a €60 retail release. Publishing Raiders of the Broken Planet ourselves gives us the freedom to make these decisions. We hope players can see the amount of love and passion that has gone into this title,”
- Enric Álvarez, Game Director of Raiders of the Broken Planet.

Raiders of the Broken Planet is out now for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Available as a free download on Steam, the Xbox Store and the PlayStation Store, the Prologue contains two missions, 4 characters and sets the stage for the incredible story to follow. The first campaign of the 2017 Season - Alien Myths - is available to purchase for €9.99/$9.99/£9.99. Containing four missions, a gripping story, four new characters, new weapons and more, Alien Myths represents incredible value for players who want to visit the Broken Planet and participate in the unforgettable adventure the Raiders are embarking on.

For the ultimate Raiders of the Broken Planet experience, players can purchase the Founders Pack for €39.99/$39.99/£39.99. The Founders Pack includes access to every campaign on launch and additionally grants players immediate access to three new characters, Mikah, Dr. Kuzmann and Ginebra, 10 days prior to full release, without having to purchase them with in-game currency.

Thanks for all your support during development. This is your game now.
Welcome to the Broken Planet, Raiders.
