Actually really nice addition would be to turn off spawn timer for antag. Sometimes because of map design they cant increase spawn points radius. This at least add some time for antag to regroup. Cause each time antag spawn time is close to zero i just start to look around to see where he spawn to jump him

Also true. There is a lot of ways they could make playing antagonist more fun yet still keeping it fair to the raiders.

Ummm, I actually use the spawn countdown in order to play mind games with the Raiders, since  the antagonist is not obligated to spawn at that moment at all.

Also, when the Master of puppets update kicks in, some cool features will be added. These will expand the range of actions the antagonist can perform, even while he/she's dead. :)

I don't play antagonist much. Whenever I do I don't really care to win. Usually just throw matches or just halfway play because its whatever. However, I do suffer from one minor thing. On some missions its fine I can spawn almost anywhere. Almost.

Missions like "Destroyer of Worlds" for example. There are only 5 spawn points and they are all on the opposite side of the raiders? I get not wanting player camp their spawn but if you are playing as Hive, Mikah, or anyone who doesn't stalk to a wall or have a giant flying death orb its hard to secure kills. Again not all missions are like this and I know this isn't the old spawn system but I feel like MSE introduced this mechanic in its early stages then just forgot about it...

Having more range on the anchor points would feel much better and give the antagonist a step up. Alternatively, you could get rid of the anchor points completely and have something similar to Doldren astral form however keeping the "Immune" time and everything else that comes with an antagonist. This way the antagonist can get the drop coming from a random spot of the map instead of being in a rough idea spot that most players (at least I) have memorized.

Destroyer of worlds is one of those stages in which the Antagonist has a rather small spawn area, mainly due to the general smallness of the level itself. As you can see in old patch notes, we actually enlarged that stage's spawn area in the update that followed the inclusion of the new spawn system. We enlarged some other maps' spawn area based on community feedback as well.

When it comes to the Destroyer of worlds issue, I don't see how we could attenuate the issue, I'm afraid we could only enlarge the area a few meters more.

Mercury Steam, please, please, please will you take 1 more pass on this Identity feature that you advertised so long ago. You couldn't have been meaning all along to just gives us more skins because that would not be a new feature, you've been doing skins since back when this was called Raiders of the Broken Planet. Ever since you 1st hinted about Identity I've had this dream in my head where my antagonist & I would never look the same again, where my Lycus or Iune would never look like another player's Lycus or Iune ever again. Your artstyle on these characters is & has always been amazing, the character designs is THE main reason that I was drawn to play your game long before I knew anything about the game mechanics or how wonderfully responsive to the fanbase that you are, I saw a video of gameplay & I knew in that instant that I wanted in on this action. With Identity I see that your goal was to give us individual customization, y'know like what comes standard in most other multiplayer games. We would be given the options to put an eyepatch on Lycus, give him tribal facepaint or even change his hair color, my imagination ran wild so that my Lycus was wearing Hawaiian t-shirts & skateboard sneakers. The Lycus that I would've customized using your available tools would've been instantly recognized & feared on sight. I hope that Identity is still a work-in-progress & if it isn't can you then please let me know why it couldn't be done? I love your skins, but I must have more options to customize these amazing characters that you've created. Thank you for listening.

Hi, there! Thank you so much for writing to us about the past Identity Update. :)

So, about the Roadmap image...



All things shown in it are merely visual depictions somewhat realated to the contents of each and every update. When we showed the customized Lycus we meant a deeper customization would be allowed, but not necessarily a patch on the eye + hair color variations.
Other new customization options kicked in with the Identity update instead, such as being able to wield melee weapons, new emotes being added for all characters and having weapons customized with character-themed skins.

The same can be said about the upcoming updates. For example, Master of Puppets will indeed involve AI mobs and Antagonist coordinating in some way, but the whole thing won't necessarily look exactly as what the image depicts, with grunt soldiers forming like that. :)

Over the past few days I have been coming across an increasing number of “players” that seem to find it more fun to be on the Raiders team as an Antag than just queuing up as one.
Not 5 min before writing this post I had to “players” one on PC and one on Xbox (I play on Xbox) load in “The Beast’s Lair” (presently the hardest mission I have in my opinion {I’m level 37}). The Xbox player quits about a min. later comes back stands in spawn and repeatedly votes to surrender. The PC “player” just stands there dancing so me and the 4th player 2 man the whole first part. Then we get to the boss fight the two “players” in question proceed to repeatedly just spawn and RUN OFF THE SIDE OF THE MAP!!!!!!!!!
Sorry I did mean to yell there. But I have been encountering more people doing things like this and more like taking the sphere in “A weapon from the past” and chasing teammates around to kill them, using the bombs in “Short-Fused” to team kill, walking off the map on “”In Medias Res” with both the encoder and Schnider, and lets not forget team killing with the crystal drop system.
Most to all of this happens to me daily to the point that I cannot even complain about getting matched up with Antags that are so Overpowered in comparison to me that I vote to quit or leave and play a different game entirely. I mean is it at all fair to have a player that is over 50-100 levels above you attacking you. No no it is not. I had one of my friends invade on me (he’s level 150 at the time I was 25) and he was killing all of us in 3-5 bullets with Konstanin he just let us win after the ship left and we got more revives because and I quote “ It just isn’t any fun if they can’t even get a chance to shoot back”
So, to get to the point(s). vote to kick? That might not be a good idea instead how about a reporting option for finding and punishing “players” trolling, or making the player lives personal or putting s system in place that detects aberrant “players” and replaces them with a bot of the person they were using? I’ve seen things like that in other games.
And the badly mismatched Antags could be fixed if you nerf them or buff us to match them. There are some missions where if the Antag is playing “Valeria” for example you cannot win. Cough Cough “The Beast’s Lair” bridge part Cough Cough. So, I hope someone(s) sees this and considers some of the suggestions I or if other people add on to this theirs too.

Some other others behaviours are more difficult to detect, but we do have a system that analyzes matches, looking for "excessively" suicidal behaviours. The system punishes this kind of players by banning them temporally.

When it comes to Aleph Drops, team killing shouldn't be a thing, since a gem can't harm people from the same team that initially ignited it. If you ever saw an Aleph Gem that that you (or your allies) ignited performing damage to you (or to your allies), please let us know, since it'd be a bug for us to fix. :)

So if I don't play for a day the rewards that are inside the pot will increase naturally? or do I have to play for it to increase?

If you play, the lost rewards will be accumulated there.
If you don't play, the pot will naturally increase on a daily basis for the following five days.

It’s a little confusing, But I’ll do my best to explain from my understanding.
Everytime you play, any rewards you don’t win get added to the pot. For example: if your match has a maximum of 7000 gold and you only win 6000, the remaining 1000 goes to the pot. In addition to this, the pot also grows daily by a set amount regardless if you play or not.
I do not believe that rewards lost from the pot match go to the next pot.

And no, rewards lost from the pot match are definitely lost.

En serio deben despedir al genio a quien se le ocurrió el nuevo sistema de recompensas. ¿A quién se le ocurrió que subir solo 1 nivel al día era buena idea? Por favor, no quieran vernos la cara de tontos a los jugadores, se nota a leguas de distancia que lo único que quieren es sacarnos dinero comprando EXP... es como esos juegos de celular donde tienes energía limitada al día. Ganar 900 de oro por partida, 0 EXP por partida, y no tener la posibilidad de obtener un blueprint hasta finales de mes es una burla; no pueden tener un juego donde el grindeo es base con esas características...

En serio, no se quieran burlar de nosotros. Si quieren ganar dinero, denos mejor contenido. Coloquen skins, alguna super expansión que valga la pena comprar, eventos, o los battle pass que están tan de moda. Pero no se quieran pasar de listos y querer sacarnos dinero vendiendo EXP... así no se trata a la player base. Y menos si su juego es un fracaso ya de por sí (no nos mintamos, Spacelords es un fracaso... ningún juego donde la mitad de las partidas te rellenan el equipo con bots es un éxito); no se burlen en la cara de los pocos jugadores que mantienen vivo su juego; esta nueva expansión si dura más de esta semana, va a terminar de matar su juego.

Hemos cambiado recientemiento el tema de la experiencia y el excesivo número de bots de Cortez. :)

maybe i did not explain myself well on that post.

what WAS a bug, is not the fact that i have been teamed up with all 3 cortez bros.
but that the game launched me as raider while i had only selected missions as antag and that he send me on a mission i had not selected :
he send me on "weapon from the past" a wardogs mission, as raider, while i had only selected aliens missions as an antag.

and this can not be a problem of player's poul

It looks like a front end bug, I'll reach the QA guys and let them know. Thank you for the into! :)

Let me answer a couple of things!

8. It's clear that as a result of this update, there are less people playing, which is bringing more bots into the game. I read a previous article by sonofoz who was put into one of his 4 matches with three bots. He of course lost and with it the bonuses:

He thinks it's a bug. I think it's because the pool of players is dropping. This is going to become more common and in turn, more people will stop playing.You are going to lose your player base MercurySteam.

That's very unlikely, most probably it'll either be a bug (we'll know when analyzing the data we're gathering since the reléase of update) or it could be due to the matchmaking retweaks we applied into the last patch. Cortez players help diminish match queue times, but when tweaked too agressively they can become counterproductive. The system may be adding Cortez(s) to matches too quicky, when there were actually enough human players for those matches.
