Gameplay Feedback / Re: Cutscenes skip. Seriously.
 on: January 08, 2019, 06:16:31 PM
Its the new players that keep watching the cutscenes..Its the way the mmr system is setup that cause new players to quit. Throwing a lone lv.5 into a team with myself and two other guildmates at 60mmr where they have ABSOLUTELY no business being and rendering them completely INEFFECTIVE and dying constantly is why they quit after 3 minutes and uninstall the game.  Its an easy fix too, just set the matches mmr to the mmr of the lowest player, period. When you have a great squad with high mmr its a tough match, when its a mentor match of a low level the difficulty is greatly reduced for all involved and the noob can continue to grow and develop their skillset AND be a contributor in the battle. Cutscenes should be voted on, but they are the last reason new players quit.

Gameplay Feedback / Unbeatable Shortfused

At 69 mmr, there isn't a way to physically win in the current state. It's not a "get gud" scenario. Time wise it is impossible to detonate six bombs on each tank before loahts house goes boom. Please fix it Mercurysteam. And if anyone says they have done it, I need to get that link so I can see it for myself.

Spacelords Universe / Re: Make antagonist optional :)
 on: December 26, 2018, 12:51:07 AM
If it was optional then the three or four good Antags that play regularly wouldn't have anyone to fight. With rewards still not scaling after all this time to reward players for taking part in missions with them I imagine almost everyone would turn the invasions off if given the choice.

These sound like great suggestions.....Your move Mercurysteam ;)

Bug report & Technical Support / Re: Squad problems anyone?
 on: December 22, 2018, 09:43:33 PM
Other than getting occasionally disconnected from the squad after a match and having to reinvite whomever were removed I haven't had any problems or heard of anyone having problems since the update. I'm PS4 too so I'm not the 'master race' either lol.

I don't understand how a 50 can get paired into the 90's before getting some other team first. I antag a LOT and I'm higher than a vast majority of the teams I fight. If they are ever higher than me, it's only a marginal difference, never 10+.

I mean I've had it happen when I'm raider, but HOW does it happen, and how have I never been that antag???

I can't say with absolute certainty every member was low 90's, I know that I was 92, my fellow guildmates were a 96 and I want to say 88 and the last one mid 80's, that's how I came to the conclusion of low 90's but the Antag on Fistful was 54, I have no idea why there was that big of a discrepancy but it meant a ton of help for the Antag and we would up losing it in the final phase after a horde of terminators dropped in one after another and murdered the protector. The Antag, a lv.96 Shae was a minor nuisance at best and I'm sure was incredibly pleased with themselves.
As the missions went on we noticed that the non antag matches were suddenly alot harder so we don't know if some high mmr tweaks happened from Mercurysteam but we started tanking the mmr a bit, the game had gotten incredibly easy regardless of the mmr level, so to suddenly get so intense was giving  us whiplash. Draco if you had that kind of discrepancy with the raiders, no doubt you would have a 100% winrate lol.

Well I can tell you that when your mmr is 40 points higher than the Antagonist the map gives them a bunch of terminators. My group was low 90's mmr and antag had 50 and we lost because of all the adds so...that sucked.

If your main desire to antag is driven by the aequilibrium bar for xp then don't spawn. I have been in matches where the antagonist has had plenty of back up and games where they were basically all alone. Antags are almost always going to have a hard time against an experienced group that is put together beforehand, because they know how to quickly eliminate the adds and they work together to take out the Antagonist. I personally don't spawn as an antag when I need to balance the aequilibrium because it's not my thing but to each their own.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Ginebra's Fifth Weapon...

Completely agree, why they would Nerf Javelin is beyond me. I use Javelin most of the time, and while it's still good against antags most of the time, it takes way too many shots at distance for things and if there is one area your damage should not be lowered it's being accurate at distance.

Suggestions / Re: Guilds
 on: December 18, 2018, 06:00:57 PM
Invite only is the way to go with the guilds. You are far less likely to have people leaving suddenly and coming and going all the time. Play matches with random people if you don't have a good network of friends yet and then inquire about their guild status after. This way the people you are adding are ones you have some game experience with.

Spacelords’ Advice / Re: Card Drops
 on: December 17, 2018, 05:44:50 PM
@Artivex, are you rolling with all four slots available? If you have any others locked it's hardly worth it with the ridiculously steep price of 5k faction points per roll. With that being said  I hope you get it soon that sucks you've been trying for it for so long.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Alicia's Starting Weapon
 on: December 17, 2018, 06:37:09 AM
Generally every characters starting gun is underwhelming, that's part of the drive to either upgrade it as you become a higher level and get a blueprint for it or pursue the better guns by earning the blueprints. When played well Alicia and her wall jumping is incredibly useful when paired with some of her other guns. I don't know how much time you have put into the game yet but once you get your ass handed to you a few times from a good Alicia player you will likely realize she's worth using. The beauty of this game is that every characters when played correctly can be a beast to deal with. Their are alot of layers to each one with the different card effects you can equip to them and tactics you can use in the various stages. Give it some time, it's worth sticking with.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Patch-notes Thoughts
 on: December 16, 2018, 05:31:29 PM
@Pothehd, they are going to continue to roll out things for the guilds. It is a little buggy right now, and I agree that I don't like not being able to look up other guilds and stuff just because I have one. There is no way their master plan for guilds was to group players together, give them their own aequilibrium and that's it. They will be doing 4v4 arenas that will obviously utilize the guild system in the future.
On a different subject the Cortez Bros. Are so hilariously inept at everything except drawing s tiny bit of fire off of you and not draining your pool of lives. On Low Blow one of those idiots were shooting that other gate that would allow the enemy to pour after you at the elevator and I literally almost passed out laughing. I wonder if they are even on our side.
So, Pothehd I understand your frustrations about some of the things but for those of us that have been around a long time we know that it might take Mercurysteam awhile and they may be dead set on implementing new things that they "think" everyone wants or have been asking for when it's really just their idea, *cough* radar *cough* they will continue to tirelessly work to support their baby and add new content so let's try to be patient.

Suggestions / Re: Daily Rewards
 on: December 11, 2018, 04:20:46 PM
I feel I should say one last thing on this subject before I let it rest and that is, Mercurysteam, don't forget the players that are up in the 100's and above when you reshuffle how some form of daily rewards or progression system is handled. Now and again I see screenshots and pick up bits of information about ways that you guys are restructuring things for a better progression but it appears it really only benefits new players. I happen to be one of the few stubborn ones that keep coming back because I enjoy the core game and character design/world so much, but there are alot of people I used to play with that felt they literally had nothing to do and had no reason to check back in daily or weekly when the only incentive to this point has been that a new weapon or skin may come out. I know you guys are working on stuff and that a big update is around the corner for the new year so ultimately we will wait and see, and I'm looking forward to many of the changes I have heard about. Keep up the good work.
