Gameplay Feedback / Re: Matchmaking is broken! Game is broken!

Yes, Antagonist is for later in game, not for lvl 5

Having the game region locked is quite annoying ... In this day and age region locks sound so outdated ...

I think Hans is a parody of Steven Seagal in "Under Siege", as his Chief outfit suggest it. And maybe his "business" is to go bake Captain Adams' birthday cake ?

You mean that people would prefer to play the game like if they were trying to achieve something even if it's hard instead of dropping everything and wait for things to get easier ?

It's unthinkable. People trying to compensate for other players' lack of skill/level/equipment would be crazy. Actually there should be a "surrender match" option at the character's selection screen so you can give up as soon as you see the level/pick of other players.

...

Sarcasm aside, yes people would still try to play even if it's hard or if the other players are useless. That's the point of almost every game : to triumph despite the adversity.

On the other side, I understand the main point (or what I supose is the main point) of OP : Sometimes you don't want to fight against the difficulty wall and it's annoying that the MMR does not only makes the game harder to play but even makes games harder to find. It seems like players are punished for being skilled/good/lucky ...

Raiders isn't really made like a game that you would sink hours into in a single game session (even if I'm sure some people are able to spend their whole day on it) but more like a "Come back from work and enjoy a couple of match" game. And the MMR kind of oppose this by making multiplayer queues too damn long and game too damn frustrating. To have MMR not affect the reward as much as before is already a first step in the good direction, now we have to think of what the new step should be and maybe propose something.

if they made Skin bundles that would be awesome. Something like 1 or 2 skins + a couple of boosters.

Mikah decoy is a very funny thing to use. If you learn how to use it you can do pretty amazing things. Even more since Mikah can hide her Aleph marker with some cards : you run attracting the Antagonist fire, transfer to your decoy and grab the Antagonist from behind.

It also helps a lot when jumping into the fray and transfer out of it with your decoy. Mikah is a bruiser like Alicia, but Mikah tends more toward the assassin while Alicia tends more toward the tank.

As Power Penguin (I love that name ... Go go Power Penguin !) said. The game isn't free to play.

And well ... Characters are 50K (some are 60K but none less than 45K) gold to unlock, so a campaign would easily reach 400k gold with the current price of things ... I don't think there would be a point to unlock campaign with Gold if you need 100 hours (100 x 30 minutes missions with 2K gold per missin) to unlock 1 campaign.

Suggestions / Re: General idea's for improvement

I confirm, I played Konstantin as an Antagonist against an Ayana player that knew how to use her, I wasn't able to do anything. She kept hooking me just to break my melee build up or my weapon finring, as a result even the 3 other players (who were easy preys as soon as Ayana was too far to hook me) were able to steamroll me.

Made me rethink everything about Ayana and after a couple of try on her, her tether is quite powerful. A bit like Shae's enthrallment.

Suggestions / Re: Too Many Antagonist Now

Just an idea, thrown to the wind : what if queueing as Antagonist allowed you to play as an Antagonist OR as a Raider willing to fight an Antagonist ?

The bonus reward could be XP based on how many "player kill" (Raider killing an Antagonist for the Raider side, Antagonist killing a Raider on the Antagonist side) were performed during the match, or a 4th reward for the Raider side at the reward selection screen and an increased Score (or reward) for the Antagonist side. Cause you know, when playing Antagonist and getting mowed down by 4 people twice your lvl and getting a 0.5 score while you tried your best to do your Antagonist job sucks a bit. Same as loosing a mission cause the Antagonist is twice the level of the highest Raider and having to split by 4 1K gold or Faction point ...

Just my 2 cents to the discussion

Happened again twice today. There is a real need here if we have something more complex than "Me see me shoot" kind of missions

Suggestions / Target indicators
 on: April 06, 2018, 03:27:35 PM
After loosing a game that we almost won easily (only 6 raiders deaths and the Antagonist was unable to do anything) just because one player didn't attack the "door" in front of the teleportation platform in the new Campaign, I relaised that there are 2 quick messages seriously lacking in the game for communication between raiders : A "Attack this target" and a "Don't attack this target" markers.

We tried to make the player (a Konstantin) understand that we needed him to attack the "door" too but since he was lvl 1 I guess he didn't know or wasn't aware that we could attack it, and an Alice, a Ginebra and a Harec weren't enough to do it on time. If we had a way to mark the target, maybe that wouldn't happen.

This scenario happens a lot in many missions, people run like headless chickens and don't understand what to do (like in the fight with Aneshka). If only the players could have a way to designate targets it would help a lot, especially by giving a way to "teach" the unexperienced players (I don't say I'm experienced though).

As a skin for Ginebra it could work too ... I guess (since the mech is basically Ginebra's Cougar form oversized)
