Ship's Log / Wardog Fury Campaign launches on November 30th!
 on: November 22, 2017, 03:04:06 PM
Wardog Fury, the second premium campaign for Raiders of the Broken Planet, will be launching on November 30th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Just like the first campaign, Alien Myths, Wardog Fury will be available to purchase as a stand-alone campaign for just €/$/£9.99.

In Wardog Fury, Harec attempts to recruit Loaht, the genetic experiment that the leader of the Umbra Dogs, General Marmalade, created. Loaht has the ability to transform into a furious beast, powerful enough to rip apart the strongest of foes. With Loaht on his side, Harec can turn the tide of war in the Raiders’ favour. However, General Marmalade has plans to take all the Aleph on the Broken Planet for himself and to eliminate his rogue experiment in the process. With Loaht on the run, who will get to him first? Find out in the second chapter of the epic Raiders of the Broken Planet saga.

“Whereas Alien Myths explored some of the ancient culture native to the Broken Planet,Wardog Fury is fascinating because it focuses on one of the human factions and delves deeper into their lore,” said Enric Álvarez, Co-Owner of MercurySteam. “Throughout four intense missions, players will discover how Aleph abuse can affect humans, and why they are so hell-bent on taking it all for themselves. You’ll also face some crazy new enemies and of course recruit some awesome new Raiders too!”

Launching on November 30th, Wardog Fury will include four new epic story missions, all playable in single-player, 4 player co-op or the intense 4 v 1 Antagonist mode. In this story, the Raiders will face the deranged General Marmalade and his Umbra Wardogs faction. Alicia knows first-hand just what this man is capable of and the rest of the Raiders are about to find out too. General Marmalade conducts narcotic and Aleph experiments on himself and his units, creating mutants that are as grotesque as they are deadly. Wardog Fury players will exclusively be able to recruit one of Marmalade’s rogue experiments, Loaht, in the first mission.

Also joining the fray during the Wardog Fury campaign are three more characters, who will be able to be unlocked by all Raiders of the Broken Planet players:

- Doldren, a native of the Broken Planet who is lethal with a pistol or submachine gun, but even more deadly when he resorts to his bare hands.

- Iune is another native to the Broken Planet, who has the special gift of the Anhaurii, meaning she can weave Aleph to grant her unique powers. In addition to her mystical powers, Iune enters combat armed with her hunting rifle.

- H.I.V.E. is a strange creature that General Marmalade found lethargic in an old temple and attempted to enslave. Soon enough, H.I.V.E. broke free and ended up joining the Raiders. H.I.V.E.’s origins, or its reasons to align itself with the Harec’s band, remain a mystery.

Hi, Raiders and Antagonists!

We run our Killfest special event last weekend, calling all Raiders of the Broken Planet to action to check who was the deadliest character in the game. We promised to grant a new Character Card to the three Raiders who scored most kills during the weekend, but it was such a close call that we ended up giving away four Character Cards!

Even though Hans was not among the top 4 Characters during the Killfest weekend, he performed really well providing close air support to his teammates. We have learned a lot about this well-liked character this week, with the reveal of his interactive comic and the latest #DevShout video, where our Gameplay Programmer Dani explains the best configurations for the deadliest chef in the galaxy.

See you on the Broken Planet, Raiders.

Ship's Log / New Ban System + Antagonist bug fixed!
 on: November 17, 2017, 06:01:40 PM
Greetings, Raiders!

As you know, we have been gradually introducing some changes to Raiders of the Broken Planet having all your feedback in mind. One of the most addressed issues was related to the ban system and some users abandoning the matches.

Leaving a game in the middle of a mission is a frustrating experience for the remaining players so we are taking actions to discourage this behaviour.

From now, all players who drop off the match and fail to reconnect, will be banned for a few minutes. If banned players persist on this conduct it may result on a lengthier ban period. We would like to thank all the fans who have reported this unsporting behaviour.

In addition to this, we have detected that, on occasions, the algorithm responsible of balancing Antagonists appearances was not working as designed, causing a lower than desired rate of games including the Uras-Beherit agents.  With the latest hotfix, live now, the algorithm is now properly balanced and the chances of Antagonists trying to foil the Raiders’ mission has increased. Watch your backs!

Please, let us know what you think of these changes and see you on the Broken Planet!

The Broken Planet's bravest chef!

Hans was a ranking Hades Division officer, with a passion for cooking, but he fell from grace during a decisive battle and decided to join the Raiders. As part of the Raiders, he soars the battlefields with his jetpack providing close support to his teammates, and keeps them well fed with his culinary skills when off-duty! Ship's Log / Ginebra is available for Founders Pack owners!
 on: October 31, 2017, 06:57:47 PM
Taking out "stray" Fifth Council units was Ginebra’s mission for decades. On a fateful day, Ginebra was assigned the Konstantin unit as her next target. Upon their meeting, Konstantin refused to engage her, resisting the Hunter’s punishment before falling and distracting Ginebra just long enough to allow the small group of locals he was protecting to escape. Konstantin’s noble sacrifice awoke something long forgotten within Ginebra’s human core, and now she’s counted among the defector’s ranks she was previously charged to purge.

All Founders Pack owners will be able to use Ginebra from today, while those who have the Prologue or Alien Myths, will get access to her on November 9th. To celebrate, MercurySteam is sharing an awesome new trailer and some fresh Ginebra art now. On November 10th MercurySteam will also release a brand new #DevShouts video focusing on this formidable warrior, highlighting their favourite strategies for this unique character.

Ginebra joins the fray armed with her Sturzenegger Bogen C-A00 crossbow, loaded with deadly transmission bolts. However, what truly singles Ginebra out as a force to be reckoned with is her Armor-Plated “Sabretooth” Model Chassis. In this apex predator form, her movement speed is dramatically increased, even allowing her to  run up walls. Players using Ginebra as a Raider or as an Antagonist will find her unique skillset gives them the scope for some cunning strategies on the battlefields of the Broken Planet.
