Perhaps they originally planned to have them drop and later changed it to be a pay model instead?

He reminds me a bit too much of Isaac from Battleborn. Not a bad thing but damn he's going to be the best reason to spread 'way' out... because the times I died or nearly died because people coming 'closer' to me during his boss fight are unbelievable.

Oh dear, now he'll be used in every mission as Antagonist... Can we at least see him in the game this time even if we can't access him for 10 days?? I had to have someone take screenshots of Mikah who 'was' in the game just so I could even look at her character page. You never know you might get some Founder sales from actually showing people what they're buying into.

Can we get a hint? I am hoping the next pack of missions drops just for variety sake. It did 'seem' like the goal was to get all the mission packs out by the end of the year but I am not sure if that is accurate. My gripes aside it really is a wonderful game and thus the biggest gripe ends up being when can I have more!

At this point in time she's probably the biggest sell about the Founders because she is literally half that cost all by herself at 20$ to buy or you could farm the 120,000 Gold to unlock her instead... Curious if people are willing to farm that much on the same five missions before getting bored or if they'll fork out the 20$ instead...

The video in this link seems to show a guy with a revolver at the end.

That being said, I hope one of the future raiders uses a semi-automatic pistol.

Thanks for the link, never seen that video and damn it really explains a lot of gameplay mechanics. You're right it does show what looks to maybe be one of the leaders of the factions. Hard to tell who it could be but most likely with Hades as Wardogs look a lot rougher imho. Also, rewatched the Microsoft's store trailer and you 'very' briefly see what looks to be Loaht... getting shot.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Craft

I'm not entirely sure what you mean but picking up 'parts' of stuff to later assemble would give the game a bit more meat for sure. I know in another thread someone suggested breaking the blueprints up into pieces and that is one possibility. Another might be one shot consumables for any variety of purposes. The latter would require balancing for sure since it is essentially a PVP game at its core but it would also add a bit more depth. I would love to hear what kind of ideas the developers are already considering so there might be some discussion regarding future changes to gameplay.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: PS4/PC cross-platform friends
 on: October 07, 2017, 05:54:28 PM
Whether it can be done in a technical sense is irrelevant if Sony does not allow it. You're going way out on a limb assuming Mercury Steam is fully to blame here. Do you honestly think they did not have to get Microsoft's permission for it be cross platform between Xbox and PC?

I don't mind the Antagonist being able to let's say 'aggro' a particularly good Raider with enemy NPCs with perhaps a 'mark' mechanic. Forcing a group of Raiders to actually work together or at least as two man teams is how you effectively do any 4 vs 1 because your back can be covered as games like Army of Two heavily showcased. As it stands an Antagonist really needs to 'sync' their activity with what NPCs are doing as well as keep firmly in mind what players need to accomplish to progress. Thus, anything that can make the Antagonist better control NPCs even if it's just an aggro focus gives them a greater ability to control the flow on their end. In that way, they are more like a commander than just a simple assassin.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Recruit Mikah - Expensive
 on: October 07, 2017, 02:19:38 PM
When I mentioned pricing to someone on a Discord I visit they reminded me the game was a free to play and I'm like... but it's not a free to play lol. It's looking like the pricing on 'extra' content is still going to cause some confusion no matter how much they state it's not a free to play. To be as fair as possible most games would give you re-textures of the same model and these are completely reworked models as well as very high quality. So I guess if you want to view it as buying a collectible action figure as they can run easily that amount or more. Really, however you want to justify it because I've played with someone who 'did' buy the more expensive Shae so they definitely are selling to some people.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Partial rewards for failure.
 on: October 06, 2017, 10:22:15 PM
Well this game is full of rage quitters, boosters, and afkers. If you're an Antagonist this tends to work in your favor but if you're a Raider you might have to an entire section over if the host drops out. However, an Antagonist quitting out after joining guarantees you an easy win without having to do really anything except wait. All that aside, I can't imagine anyone 'likes' the current system and it's just a matter of how tolerable you are of it. Even if you like it, you're sure to be confused by it since I can't remember another game that worked like Raiders and I admit the first time a blueprint came up I honestly thought we 'all' got it because we did really good.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Different single player rewards
 on: October 06, 2017, 10:13:21 PM
As I see Single Player is really not good for anything other than a way to test a character and unlock maps. I beat everything by myself on Normal despite some levels being seriously tailored towards multiplayer but the reward was I guess... just not having to unlock it randomly, no waiting in matchmaking (yay!) and a bit of gold I spent on lore stuff. So, maybe it was worth it? What mission in multiplayer is worth 20,000 gold with an Antagonist??

Probably at this point it might just be the player base is shrinking from an already humble start.  It can be enjoyable so... best of luck to you guys.

Thanks for clarifying the 20 stigma thing, that's actually a lot more generous than I thought. I doubt I can win without people rage quitting, which is not why I should win but it's how I got my first and only win. I really just need to get up to 10 but I still feel I'm most likely to get it because people just quit out and not because I am any good at it. Again, appreciate the information!

It's difficult to estimate a time frame for such a significant change, as the whole game (missions and reward system) would need rebalancing. We are not speaking about years, but probably more than a couple of months.

That's, of course, if the team decides to implement this change.
Thanks for your feedback!

Why not just add a mode rather than affect the modes that are present? As the topic creator stated, people really just want to play the game and that doesn't mean it has to be the 4 vs 1 you all intended. With a new mode you could create something simpler perhaps that lacks the structure of the 4 vs 1 and perhaps has a lesser reward as a result. I mean this doesn't have to be an argument of one thing instead of another as many games have offered multiple modes with multiple choices on player counts and it seems from your own admission 2 player co-op 'is' in high enough demand. Either way I'll do my best to enjoy the game it's just a shame when a design choice is so terribly rigid.
