With all due respect, Ojuel, you're missing the point. The comment about a noob being unable to figure out how to extract was simply an arbitrary example of why it seems so counter-intuitive to not have a simple voice/text chat system. I could list dozens of similar examples that have nothing to do with extraction, where just having the ability to type or say a single sentence would have turned a complete loss into a victory. Again, the devs have even said themselves that they know the players want a better communication system, and the recent change was not that. What's worse is that I still have never seen an MSE post even attempting to explain why there wasn't a chat system on this game from day 1. If you want this game to survive, you guys need to start taking steps in the right direction, the direction the actual players want, and adding voice and/or text chat would be a huge one.

What I really just want to know is, why? Why make ammo drop on the ground? Why limit experience gain per day? Why force difficulty around the broken MMR system? Etc., etc., etc.

Gameplay Feedback / Doldren is still too powerful

Antag Doldren with Patient and some other melee damage buff card. Uses ability, melee insta-kill every time. Nothing anyone can do about it because it's too fast. Doesn't even matter what gun he's using, 'cause he never uses it. This needs to change.

So, right now, I can send in a troubleshooting report, but it has to be 160 characters or less. I get that, because it's a sort of troubleshooting triage, but then every time I send a report and get a response, it's the same response. "Send your ID, platform, and screenshots/video to the support email". Why don't you collect the ID and platform information automatically? Also, I've sent several bug reports, but I don't even remember what exactly I've talked about in each one, and there's no record or dialogue I can access. This system needs to be more fleshed out.

The cut-scenes have great graphics, but I've seen them so many goddamn times that I really, really wish there were an option to just change it to a static loading screen when other people want to watch them and I want to skip.

Another person here to agree that, at the very least, everyone should have to die before the Raiders lose from Sudden Death. However, another suggestion to avoid the running/hiding strat by the Raiders would be, when the team is waiting for Cortez to get back with more lives, all remaining Raiders should be highlighted. Not necessarily max stress, as that would prevent most characters from regenerating health, which would be too extreme, but something so that they can't just make it a game of hide-and-seek. That just doesn't seem fair or fun, in my opinion.

I think at least a way to start moving in the right direction of getting the right players in the right games would to at least make it so that games that include at least one rank 6 or below player should be exempt from Antagonists. This game desperately needs player retention, and nothing makes a new player want to rage uninstall like getting stomped by someone with unbeatable advantages over you, on top of their gameplay experience.

I agree that developers, including those of Spacelords, a huge amount of criticism and not enough praise for what work they have done, and really, only people who sincerely want the game to succeed would even bother posting on a forum to complain about problems in the game, so that does say a lot. However, as much as this developer deserves praise for the changes they have made, even they have admitted that the communication system has been one of the biggest complaints since the game's launch, and it took them a year to implement this, just some more preset commands? I just can't understand how this is still such a critical issue when they're obviously aware that it's a critical issue.

I'm fairly certain it would be extremely easy to implement an option to just disable text chat if a player so chose. As such, I can't see any good reason to not at least give text chat a try. I, for one, have had several games where people were wasting time or making poor decisions, and I could've helped them if I could just communicate with them in some way beyond the limited options of the current system. Even if every single person in the game were toxic in text chat, I would still have a higher opinion of the game as a whole, as not having effective communication in an online team-based shooter is just asinine.

I say this to myself every single day that I play this game. I really want to love it, but it really just seems like the devs have no idea what players actually want. Undo the downed timer changes. Make ammo and aleph only drop excess. Make difficulty scaling less extreme, especially with enemy spawn rates. Make miners easier to kill. Fix the spawn rates in Mind Over Matter. And for the love of god, just give us basic text and/or voice chat. I believe the issues with high player level/skill disparity would fix themselves once the player base grows, but that's just not going to happen without some of these other issues being addressed.

I agree with and support this opinion. I think the unreasonably short downed time is harmful to the balancing and flow of gameplay and should be increased to at the very least 4 seconds. I'm still undecided on the 25% health vs 50%, but please, fix the downed time as soon as possible. It really makes the game less fun.
