Suggestions / MMR Preference Option
 on: November 27, 2019, 09:19:50 AM
Can we get a choice in the options menu to select how far of an MMR difference were willing to go so I'm not paired up with someone with a super low MMR when mine is high? It makes it impossible to win.

Spacelords’ Advice / Re: Tips for A Breath of Hope as an Antag?

For your grunt problem I find telling them to follow me or defend a position to work and when they group up then you send them to a target so they leave together.

I know it's a bit of a time waster but it's the most effective way for them to be sent to a target all together.

Spacelords Universe / Re: Let's have a chat about Antagonist.

To be honest I think their not really gonna do anything until Auerora Specters. Whatever that is is probably gonna supercharge antagonist.

The problem with that is the community hates Antagonist (personally it's the draw of the game for me so I antag alot) so once that comes out it will either be undertuned to avoid whining or overpowered and nerfed quickly but I have hope for it and hope it doesent come to that.

I've been posting it for the past few days cause I haven't played since before the infinite ammo update and have found Antagonist mode is in it's worse state right now.

My idea is to give Antagonist the shield Kuzman has in the mission 'In Shock' where you wont take shot damage and are melee invincible until it's down. This way a Raider just cant rush you unless they knock the shield down.

Give it a 5-10 second start of recharge after no damage to give the Raiders enough time to reach you if their playing smart.

All other 4v1 games give the 1 person buffs to compensate for being alone but this game doesent and relies on grunts to be effective which they cant since there undertuned badly.

1 more suggestion make purple tier players have to play on 40% MMR. No questions it's only fair otherwise give the shield buff and cater its protection based on individual player levels since we know they can do that now cause of the new update.

Spacelords’ Advice / Re: Best Kuzman/Aneska Build?

Thanks for the replies on both threads being helpful and not attacking me lol. I'll try Kuzmans new weapon when I can unlock it and try to find a good combo with Aneska.

Suggestions / Council Members Get A Shield As Antagonist
 on: November 26, 2019, 02:19:40 AM
So I think when you play as a Council member as an Antagonist you should get that shield Kuzman has in the mission "In Shock". As long as it's up you take no bullet damage and are melee invincible.

Enough bullets will make it go down and it can recharge after about 5-10 seconds of no damage.

My reasoning? Council members are to slow to run away and are not tanky enough to take fire from even one Raider.

This shield will give the Council member enough time to kill a Raider if they just rush them if the Raidar made no effort to break the shield. If they break the shield and rush they will get an easy kill.

I think each different faction should get their own special Antagonist buff but this one is already in the game so it should be an easy implementation even if all Antagonist get it so you dont have to make 4 different buffs.

If an MSE worker sees this please let me know if you think it's possible because these days with all the things favoring Raiders, us Antagonist need something to even the playing field since grunts just dont do anything because their always getting nerfed cause of complaints.

Increased survivability would be a great step in that direction.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Player who sabotages matches
 on: November 26, 2019, 02:07:34 AM
Can you do that to every player who lowers MMR? I'm tired of dying to players who dont belong in the lower levels. I rather wait an hour for a game then be paired up with people who can kill me as Kuzman with 90% shot armor.

He's suppose to be an area control tank but can easily be shot to death without having to come up close all because level 200 players are in my game.

Force them to play on 40 MMR minimum so I dont have to deal with it or make it where when you play council members as an Antagonist you get special bonus armor so they have to fight you up close and dance around your traps to beat you.

Spacelords’ Advice / Best Kuzman/Aneska Build?

What's the best build for Kuzman and Aneska both as a Raider and Antagonist?

Gameplay Feedback / Re: I'm never antagging again

Hopefully today's update fixes that. It's crazy how anyone can say grunts are too powerful when all I see is them dying in one hit while doing nothing useful. Granted i actually play to win so my MMR should be high and i know a lot of people lower their MMR on purpose.

What needs to happen is players with high level accounts should be forced to play on 40% MMR MINIMUM.

To reward them for the long matchs they have to endure give them a DRASTIC amount of rewards. Anyone with a low MMR and a high level account should endure the slowest grind possible. Sure your finishing a match in 5-10 minutes but you should have to do 10X the amount of games compared to someone on 40 MMR and above.

Forcing high level accounts(such as purple tiers) to play a minimum 40 MMR would fix the problem but they should be rewarded for it, think of it like endgame content.

I just made a post similar to this Haha. Either they have to buff the Antagonist to be able to fight 4 v 1 (you know actually make you feel like a mini boss if not a straight up boss) or my idea in my post is too base weapon damage to grunts based on weapon level and account level (your idea of making purple tier and similar 40 MMR is actually good though)

Suggestions / Grunts Power Based On Weapon Level
 on: November 25, 2019, 12:41:53 AM
Now that I know that grunts can be adjusted individually per Raider I think it would have been better to adjust their power based on a Raiders weapon level and Raider level.

I think this would be better then MMR because now players cant game the system by lowering their MMR since their damage is based on something they cant decrease.

Another thing to help with it is to drastically lower rewards for low MMR and drastically raise rewards for high MMR so there will be incentive to not lower it.

What does everyone think about that?

I dont know how you could play the levels over and over as a Raider without an Antagonist. You want to farm bots for what? Gold to increase weapon damage so you can one shot them? That has to be so boring, at least an Antagonist spices it up and is the defining feature of the game.

Play Destiny if you want a team of 4 to fight a boss at the end without an Antagonist. It's a great game and sounds like what people who dont like Antags would like.

This screws people who like playing Antagonist. I would understand if this game was as popular as COD or Apex Legends but its not so dividing the fanbase would screw Antagonist over.

Sure playing a Raider doesent take long in my experience but playing Antag takes forever to find a match. I dont get how anybody can find the Antagonist OP, I play with a 47% MMR and if the Raiders group up its impossible for me and if they dont I have a slight chance at winning.

Personally I think lower MMR and higher MMR should have drastic reward differences so people stop lowering their MMR cause it's ridiculous i have to have useless grunts and low boss health just because people say they're getting the same rewards on a lower MMR but quicker.

More incentive to raise there MMR and the game can finally be balanced. I cant wait for the Master Of Puppets update

Btw what's wrong with the new alph system?

You know what's an undeserved win? A raider playing ginembra and running around in a circle as a cat to let the timer expire while I'm playing a 5th council like kuzman and have 0% chance of winning since in that instance my only win objective is to kill raiders.

If all missions had a secondary objective for the antag win this would be unnecessary.

You are working under the pretence that antags don’t have the advantage when it comes to preparation and character countering, the scenario you describe would be the antags fault, you as antag can ofc see all raider picks. Now kuzie can be fine against a Ginebra on certain maps that have small areas with narrow corridors such as “A Low Blow” but if you decide to choose kuzie against a Ginebra on open maps such as “Short Fused”, “A Weapon from the Past”, etc, that is entirely your fault, since again YOU have the advantage when it comes to countering raider picks, if you’re going against her you need either a fast moving raider, a raider with a ranged/hitscan weapon or preferably both.

But this is exactly the only thing MSE will “fix” with this update, it will give free wins to antags that think even after making a wrong counter choice they should be able to brute force a win and steal everyone’s time, rewards and enjoyment, getting raiders to a 2nd survival, even without an antag is already brain dead easy if you have even 1 newbie going through lives.

Finite lives have already been proven to be a bad idea in old “Short Fused”, they literally have the evidence of it, WHY Is this coming back? I can’t really wrap my head around it, same as with the new aleph system, they are changing what aint broken…

This cap on raider lives is going to be so exploitable that it aint funny, by both parties, antags think it’s only here to give them power and easier wins, WRONG, raider suiciding will become an even stronger weapon than ever before…

Well the raiders have 4 people so even if I counter the ginembra move speed with a certain character they most likely have another character that counters me so I might as well enjoy a character I want to play.

In the end I think giving antags a secondary objective or a way to always directly slow down raider objectives would be funner then this but I'll take what I can get
