Gameplay Feedback / Re: An Open Letter to MSE
 on: June 05, 2019, 11:27:32 AM
I agree 100% with you on this post and on the vast majority of what the others have said. I personally think "Team up or Die" missed the mark in a big way, that being the whole "Improving thing" it really didn't add or change anything that much for the better. We still can't play with other people in other regions SMH... All we're teaming up with is the exact same people nothing's changed there.

Well I definitely support cosmetics I still can't deny that MSE is still a bit greedy I see the complaints about buying loadouts and agree having to pay real money for something so trivial is very METAL GEAR SURVIVE of you.

Well I'll admit to sometimes posting a bit aggressively on here I only do it because I really enjoy this game and the Community attached to it, I'm Sorry if I hurt a few egos here but heres my reasoning.

I came from Battleborn if any of you remember that Gearbox game, for those who never played it. It was very under valued despite of how good it was and the issues it had. The Community didn't push the Devs in the right, direction and the game passed away in the process. I honestly don't want to see that happen again to another great gem of a game.

Ha look at me getting emotional on a post likely long abandoned by those at large makes you think doesn't it? What's the point of putting faith into Developers when it seems like a waste of time? Is there any point in wanting to enjoy a game as well as wanting it to prosper?

Who knows this makes me need a drink.

Suggestions / Re: Removing the Region lock.
 on: June 02, 2019, 09:52:36 PM
On Console yes.

The servers are not that stable to begin with, Pings usually not a big issue on console at least not for me.

I'm not really sure that you can region lock on steam?

Suggestions / Removing the Region lock.
 on: June 02, 2019, 11:15:05 AM
Plain and simple can we please have the region lock removed?
All it really does is make you have no choice but to exclude the friends you want to play with, making them not even want to play it at all.
In 2019 most games know better so can we at least try get do something good added to the game?
Please and thank you.

Now that's a perfect fix!

Thing is we really don't know if that's the case, without numbers. We assume the population is lacking because of queue times. But it could very well that the  matchmaking is not optimal. I still see mostly tier 6 players on any given night so I don't know if there really is a population problem.

Well we can check when it comes to PC to some extent anyway, Steam tends to show players online for that month.
When it comes to console We can likely put numbers in less then 80k, but not less then 50k. If we're being kind maybe 60k at most, the target audience will have stricter things needed for them to enjoy it.

Though I will admit that only about covers certain countries, Places like Australia will most definately have considerately less players if any at all.
The Region lock plays a big role in this to a pretty huge extent, so we may never truly know how much players where missing out on until they remove the lock.

Tho really I think the bigger issue here is quite a few people on this Forum don't seem to know or realize what a forum is or what it's used for, It's not Discord nor is it a Blog. It's a place to voice criticism and feedback, a place where that feedback becomes suggestions that improve the product or business.

Suggestions / Some Thoughts...
 on: February 08, 2019, 07:22:51 AM
After playing to Lvl 62 to see how my thoughts on the game as well as what my friends thought after playing for several months here's what could most definitely help but ultimately will probably not happen.

First off we need to stop comparing Spacelords to Warframe, Just because they're F2P does not mean they're alike. Warframe has so much more to do that saying that Spacelords could have at least at this point, have as much content. I know a few of you will get upset about this point but it's true and should be acknowledged before we can begin to improve the game.

first off all the missions save for maybe 2 or 3 are built 100% the same way, put Aleph, here defend this, or some other slight variation. It's not bad design mind you it's simple, but simple can only get you so far that is a fact. Games that do the same thing over and over don't last very long.
My personal favorite missions are short Fused, and Fistful of sand, for me they are the most differant for me to be able to enjoy them. It's true Mercury Steam is a small studio, But small studios are capable of doing big work as much as we'd love to always cut them some slack. We need to stop the term "If you give them an inch they'll take a mile!" apply's here communities have a bad habbit of doing that and then when the servers shutdown they're like what happened!? The F2P game business is competitive being to submissive is a terrible idea. They can hire more staff even just interns, They can add more things to buy, They can find a GOOD Publisher, they do exist! Mercury Steam is not helpless just because they're small does not mean it can stay small sooner or later they are gonna need to do something.

These small tweeks will help out big time, they wouldn't be able to fix everything but they will at least help keeping players playing.
1. Add Bounty Jobs for each faction stuff that rewards players for doing things like CQC, killing, playing antag or just doing emotes. Things like that add much more playability then simply adding a character or just a weapon.
2. Add a merchant who comes every two weeks and sells bp's or even skins for gold or some kind of currency that can only be earned through playing. The whole idea is to reward players for playing, it can make new players get better loot alot faster and better and it can help Vets get things they need or just take the weight of there shoulders by just a little bit.
3. Add more skins and add a topic on here where we can have the community help make skins too, it makes things look fresher as well as helps the community feel more involved, we already know there's some talented artists in the community why not let them have chance to show there stuff?

4. Make having an antag in your match increase rewards, as well as let us either opt out and not have to deal with them at all not everyone finds it fun half the time it actively kills the fun. But make it a risk/reward setup and it will be a step in the right direction.

5. Make elites hostile to antags and only the elites, I can see normal cannon fodder not attacking them but the elites would make more cents if they did plus it gives antags another source of ammo and aleph.

6. Make it so antags can spend gold for extra helplike the things from beast within, they could be a big help.

7. Add a topic for the community to help design or even outright submit ideas for new characters!

8. Add login rewards anything will do just make it feel more worth getting online to play!

9. Add an option to kick players from your squad, I've had players get the whole squad killed because they lead a whole hoard back to everyone, and then we all die? NO we don't want to carry people making it selfish or truly bad players have that to worry about could make a huge difference.

10. My final thought is we need a topic area to let people vent out there frustrations, adding an area like that will help people get there frustrations out without the ELITISTS in the community being able to scare them off, that happens alot on here and all they do is hurt the game and the community we need to do better.

That's it let me know what you think, I think these will work but ultimately i'll probably be ignored in truth I DON'T GIVE TWO FLAMING SHITS!
If no one cares oh well I tried...

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Seriously Concerned...
 on: July 08, 2018, 01:17:35 PM
Damn Draco that sounds expensive!
From what I've played losing a player tends to be pretty beneficial, more rewards and the missions are not really that difficult. With a potental 3 hour soft ban, I can't see why they needed to go that far?
The fact that the player base it self made that possible is disturbing. I ended up leaving because of a minor medical condition, so I tend to have nurse's show up at varying times so I can never tell when they'll show up. I ended up leaving so I didn't end up wasting lives and possibly making it fail.
Played almost all except one of the missions so I can say only really 1 is kind of tricky. Again of this issues are no excuse to defend the game on, you can easily find proof that most if not all the biggest issues are small ones that have simply been left to rot. They can be easily fixed, that;s a fact not a statement a fact. They can fix them... but they simply choose not to.

Also tooeasy. The game quality doesn't go down, hell I've seen no real different's in anything except better rewards... I think you mean sometimes it can vary but most of the time it's been fine.

So far what I've seen and looked into makes me suspicious of this game and more importantly the Developers themselves. I think I may Drop the game for at least a month, it just looks more and more like a blatant bus crash waiting to happen. (I would not be at all surprised if some absolutely horrible information could come out about the dev team and nothing would really change...)

Found yet another issue... SOFT BANNING YOU FOR LEAVING A MISSION... That, That is complete horse shit! You can't defend that you shouldn't, this dev team is really really? WHAT WORD DO I EVEN USE?!
The game looks like a mix between Anarchy Reigns and Metal Gear, But the Dev team seems to have no idea or seemingly no idea what is and is not reasonable... How can anyone defend that i'm even more concerned?!

Well Draco some of the things you said have given me some food for thought, the blueprints don't seem that expensive. what kind of prices we talking here? Also I understand there an indie dev team but there are some things you shouldn't defend, the issues that are easy fixes are just that easy to fix.
From what i've seen they've been here since the beta. Well I personally don't think giving them a pass for being lazy, thry do have limits but some of the issues are well within them.

Gameplay Feedback / Seriously Concerned...
 on: July 07, 2018, 08:35:57 AM
After playing at least a week of this game, I've decided to post my thoughts and feedback here. To start off I've played a lot of pretty good free2play games in my time ( Warframe, LET IT DIE, and Paladins) so I think I can speak from a good bit of experience as well as doing research here and online about this game and the community that follows it.

I am dumbfounded to see just how many god awful decisions were made in this games current development.

First off just in case anyone still has the delusions that this is a "Free2Play" game the facts are clear. It would only be free if you didn't have to buy the campaigns to truly play the game for any amount of enjoyment. Hell the shitshow that is Destiny 2 is more enjoyable then this! (and I HATE that game...)
Don't get me wrong some of the missions are kind of neat, but the shear number of issues I've had to deal with playing said missions are whats wrong with this potentially good game.

Second off, Let's talk about the ingame economy and the progression system. I don't know why you need 3 forms of currency, Gold, Faction Points and, Tokens... At first I thought hey maybe it could be OK, you know build them up over time like any reasonable economy usually works...BUT!
It just seems like system that only really works on paper. Price vs Cost, I understand the affinity system is "supposed to" help elevate this, and I wish it did but it doesn't. Rather it doesn't help in a way that really works to the effect it should. Here's an example, Lets say you've reached the level to unlock Doldren, But you have already spent your begining amount of gold 44K at a usual reward of 1K to 2K is insane especially when your almost NEVER going to be the only one picking gold. All you senior players can try to defend it all you want but it is what it is... A TRAP! THEY WANT YOU TO PAY FOR CHARACTERS!! They have no intention of you earning gold to get these characters, if they did after level 10 instead of getting 2K for leveling up You'd be getting at least 10K. You don't that's the proof right there, the devs are relying on the mob mentality of there devoted fans to silence anyone who speaks out about it. Look at some of the posts on here and even this post, you'll see it fairly commonly.

Due to the way the reward system is progress is very slow or nearly mythical, making you basically fight for scraps and the very rare chance at getting a chance of getting a new weapon. The very fact that you can play for 30+ minutes and walk away empty handed is disgusting game design.
For some BONKERS reason it's still like that?! WHY? WHO THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA?! MORE IMPORTANTLY WHY IS THAT GUY STILL EMPLOYED?

Alright now that that's out of my system lets move on...

I personally like the idea of the Antagonist system, thou I certainly think its very unbalanced. (and contrary to popular belief it can be balanced!) Demons Souls started the invasion idea and I personally would love to see it in more games, especially shooters like this. The CQC system is neat but not at all complex, you can try the whole grab dodge thing but punch spamming works almost better 9/10 percent of the time.

Alright here is how I think a lot of these issues can be fixed...

- For rewards just give everyone all the things the choice way of doing things is just stupid and undefendable.

- For the antagonist system first put it back in beta to work on it, I'm not saying remove it i'm saying make the AI antagonist well its being worked on. Then instead of it being just one person make it a three man squad with some added buff or debuff depended on the Raiders level.

- Make the payout of gold after level 10 go from just 2K to something like 10K, 20K, 10K in an alternating order.

- Let people spend "FACTION POINTS" on new weapons, instead of forcing people to play the same mission a thousand and 1 times!

- add voice or text chat, I know people think this community is toxic but it's more like a swamp. A little cooperation goes a long way.

- Finally, offer a 20 or so offer that gives people access to all the current and future campaigns! Focus more on trying to sell us cosmetics and more interesting content!

That concludes my thoughts!

(Realistically I don't expect this to make much difference, I know full well some hates coming my way like a barbed wire prostate exam. But hey at least I said it and that's what really matters!)
