Gameplay Feedback / Last chance!
 on: August 15, 2019, 09:33:34 AM
So, I stopped playing a few weeks back and a few days ago an update popped on my PS4, and I said to myself, ok let's try this game ONE more time. Last Chance Spacelords! And you hardly believe it, but in the end I have regretted it again!
My MMR was 43%, that was mostly OK to play (back then, when I was playing). We (T1, T3, T- & Huey) played "A Low Blow" and barely made it to the extraction zone at the end - it was unbearable! I mean we got overruned by wardogs, who one- or two-shot killed us! Who should enjoy this? What is this, some kind of joke? The current difficulty is horrible! No wonder, when most players turn their backs on this mess and stop playing.

I really loved the game back then, when all this crap that was recently integrated wasn't in the game yet. When the game mechanics still made sense!
Killing elites was a little achievement (and fun, because you got a reward by doing so), killing elites now, is more or less meaningless. To get Aleph you have to become a Mountaineer now, why? Why does it always spawn on the highest spots on the map, what's the point in that?? Ammuniton drops vanishes way to fast … etc.

That's it for me - once and for all! It's time to free some HD space, good lord! Good bye! Hello Remnant!

So, the new patch notes popped up on twitter, I was curious (and I was worried) - and again new changes to the aleph system, and of course it's getting worse …

Why was the old system rejected in the first place?? Nobody complained about it, it was explained logically, it made sense and last but not least, it just worked well!!! You should've reworked the card system instead, there are already years of complaints!

Currently, almost every week, some changes have to be made to the new aleph system, because it's just bad and does not make any sense anymore - aleph now just appears somewhere on the map, seriously!?
That whole change was so wrong, don't be so stubborn MSE, admit it, it's just awful right now, revert it back.

Well then, I wont miss much if I don't play again on July 29th.

… I knew it. The Sudden Death patch was the start of the fall.

It is also a suitable title, right?
Just like "The Great Clash" when the trainwreck finally hits the wall.

… If everyone has antagonist turned off …

Ha, if everyone (or most) of the players would disable a feature in a video game, then it's probably obvious not the most popular feature, right? And should not a developer be guided by the majority of players to be successful? Well, is Spacelords successful?

Please be patient people, because hell will freeze over first.

Unfortunately, we have to accept the current half-assed broken mess this game has become and it's highly unlikely that this will change in the near future (and of course not in the distant future too, because with MSE's stubbornness, this game won't have a far future), no matter how much we cry, beg and plead.

Now that MSE no longer make this game for the players and fans, but ONLY for themselves, they should probably play it themselves and be happy and proud of it, I'm definitely not playing it anymore.

RIP Spacelords

And that's one of the many reasons I don't want to play this current half-assed version anymore.

… At the moment, terrible decisions are being made. I really think they just want to weed out all the veterans/high level, T1 players so as to continue removing all rewards and have no one to complain, …

MSE was successful, they succeeded in driving me away from playing.

Synonyms for playing: amuse oneself, entertain oneself, enjoy oneself, have fun, have a good time, …
But these are all synonyms that I unfortunately no longer feel when playing Spacelords with all the integrated BS lately.

RIP Spacelords

Hi guys,

Thank you all for letting us know your concerns. Our data says there are a lot of experienced users playing, but as I said before, we understand your opinions and keep looking closely to the data while having your feedback in mind.

Now, B30, I don't know in which point did I say such a thing. Please refrain from mentioning me to lie and compromise my job. According to the forum rules, I should ban you, but I'll only edit your post. Consider this a warning.

Thank you :)

I would say by saying somthing like …

… We understand you are not satisfied at all but, …

… you admit that there must be something wrong with the game, or am I wrong?

Otherwise you would NOT understand why so many are not satisfied, because in your opinion, everything would be all right in the game then?
But you DO understand that there are many unsatisified, so something must be wrong then!?
Or am I completely wrong here?!?

When they decided to totally run it aground and turned it into this current shitshow, I stopped playing.

Hi guys,

As MSE_Ojuel commented, we made some changes yesterday. We understand you are not satisfied at all but, please, remember to respect each other or we'll have to take action.

We also said we'll keep monitoring the results after this patch, so please be patient.

Thank you.

Ha, I think I was patient enough with this title. Enough is enough!

I will most likely never play it again, as I doubt that all the nonsense that has been changed and/ or integrated in recent weeks will be removed again. And Sööma will not change my mind either.

I mean, come on, an update called Prizes Galore, that promises you many prizes, but at the end of the day does exactly the opposite.

RIP Spacelords

PS.
OK, to speed up your monitoring MSE_Karen, here's a little help:
• 3-5 daily blueprints/duplicates, before the update
• 1 daily blueprint/duplicate, after the update

it's the donald Trump negotiation method.  Start at absurd than role it back so the person feels like they are getting something, even though they arE actually losing something.

Exactly, first purposely uploading an absolute trash update and trying to get away with it, then after the fans uproar, alleviating the whole thing a bit and pretending to be the good guys. How hypocritical is that?

"But I highly doubt that we will see 3 to 5 blueprints (3 rotations), like before the update, within the 5 daily reward slots we have available currently. Most likely with all the drastic limits now we will get maximum 1 blue and every second or third day an additional rare one. And that is awful."

So, I was totally right then, and it stays awful.

Quote from: Patch Notes 16.1
… BLUEPRINT REWARDS
Our intention when we designed the new system was giving players more freedom when choosing their next mission while not impacting their average resource income. We vastly miscalculated the amount of Blueprints that would be earned each day. We're increasing the amount of Blueprint appearances: …

So you increased the daily obtainable blueprints from 0 to 1.
Thanks, but NO thanks, these changes are no reason for me to start playing again. LOL this is laughable!

The release fits in really well, now they wonderfully can distract a bit from the currently terrible state of the game.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Recent Update
 on: July 06, 2019, 10:00:04 AM
… However, I could see this update being decent after some polishing. …

Only by reverting back to a prior version before all that stupidities were implemented (new reward system, drop system, life limits, …).

It would have made a lot more sense to invest all this wasted time in developing a proper tutorial (playable with every character).

But hey, main thing is they listen to our feedback … but that's the only thing they do — LISTEN and not reacting.

Suggestions / Re: Display that shows active cards with timers
 on: July 05, 2019, 04:29:14 PM
Well, meaningful things are getting removed (e.g. showing active cards, tutorial, being able to get blueprints, …) and much useless is currently being integrated.
