Suggestions / Re: Turn off narrator voice only

And most of the times the mean comments don’t even make sense gameplay wise, the antag could go on a 10-raider killstreak and die with the same mean comment as if the antag didn’t even earn a single kill. He doesn’t change his comments based on how good the antag is doing.

I wished that Uras Beherit would say those same degrading things towards the raiders if the antag was dominanting like in the character select screen where it reveals the antag to the raiders saying things like, your “as* is grass” and calling them worms like in his boss fight. That way it would feel more balanced on where the mean comments should be, on players doing poorly.

It’s saddening  how we keep saying things like, “give more gold for missions done well, let new players play with new players, get rid of the requirement of a high player level to get certain characters, improve the card system.” To the devs and they reworked the whole system and accomplished nothing like they moved one step forward and one step back at the same time Doing a split and ruining their pants (metaphor for game) in the process. hopefully they can to sew it in time

I neato idea for this would be for the gun to fire slashes at targets (like Issac Clarke’s plasma cutter) keeping up with her character as a crowd damage dealer and the smoke bomb causes the Mech next 10-15 attacks to have extended range, damage, and attack speed with the added effect that it would cause a secondary explosions like in her boss fight

Suggestions / Re: Antag ammo refill.

I’m with Drow on this one the Sudden Death was a huge kick on the raiders since it wasn’t really necessary in balancing raider vs antag since Master of Puppets was what we wanted as antags. But the idea of spawning with 5 stacks on your FIRST life is great since in the first phases of every mission it’s mostly just antag vs raiders until the minions start to pick up in the later phases

Suggestions / Re: Reworking the Game
 on: August 14, 2019, 07:16:35 AM
Better Tutorial: I agree with you there the tutorial need to teach more about the different factions and how they operate under the basic game mechanics such as their levels of stress, abilities, etc. the worst bit would be the aleph flows and ammo drops Which is worse than they already had established with aleph being inside elites and the only way to get it is by putting them into a wounded state (to bad they didn’t teach about that state in the tutorial) and hitting them in CQC which can also grant you ammo. That system was more efficient and tied with the ping system allowing players to cooperate better. This new system made the ping system a bit more useless since ammo can drop off of anybody now. They redid a core mechanic because they failed to teach new players the importance of CQC

Better UI: I don’t know exactly where your coming from there since you didn’t go into detail or list any examples. Plus your just wrong since all of the characters have an active ability tied to the same button plus you can just read what it is by pressing on the d-pad during cutscenes. And there are only two characters that have “passive” abilities that being Hive and Iune with Hive able to deal damage by being near marked target and Iune being able to takeover grunts with her grapple

Better Weapons and Class Mods?: The blueprint system has it’s problems but it’s mostly due to that it’s too expensive most of the time and earning gold for them is like looking for loose change in your sofa once every week. And it’s been made worse with this new system that the devs placed in the current update along with faction coins that are used for cards which it’s to have to initially pay for the four slots three separate times when I rather skip straight into rerolling them. It easily understandable but it just sucks

Respawning:  they did fix the respawning for the antagonist, initially it was 6 to 7 locations on a level that every raider knew and would constantly watch over but now antags have more freedom by being given a general area that the antag can glide over and drop themselves in.  The raiders on the other hand should remain spawn where they usually spawn unless you talking about the lives system I don’t know since again you didn’t go into detail

Better Gameplay:  there is a solo campaign it’s called practice mode but they way to obtain it is pretty bad, you need to play a campaign mission five times in order to unlock the level in practice mode and no you can’t adjust the difficulty of it for some reason. Also there shouldn’t ever be a 4v4 in this kind of game and stick to improving on the 4v1 gameplay along with some new campaign levels there’s no need to pull a entirely new game that uses the same assets and mechanics of the current game. It’s like when they made a battle royale game out of Call of Duty

What’s the duration on the rift portals, if they’re permanent then that might cause problems in some of the missions you’ve already listed with a well placed rifts can cut game time in half. Example being the second half of Short Fuse would consist of a player (or players) easily going through the portal to the elites and collecting aleph and jumping back in to safety negating the distance it takes to run there, the non-elites that are usually a barrier between you and the elites, and the necessity of having teammates covering you (against said enemies) all in one go. These same problems can be repeated more or less in all other maps like in Beast’s lair your character would only really need the rifts to be placed next to the aleph machine and then the second island so you don’t ever need to cross the island you spawn on. Then once you get into the Marmelade boss fight the rift ability loses it’s usefulness. I never did like the concept of the “two way portals” that’s been used in to many games.
A unique idea would to have your allies be your rift, it starts with you holding the ability button to some screen like Iune, Rac, or Shae and it can only target your teammates (note: can work through walls), once you let go on a ally then your taken directly to your allie’s location kind of like when you looking at your friends when you’ve died and are waiting to respawn (note that your previous location will be marked so that when the ability ends you’ll be taken back to that point). Once you’re overwatching your friend you can then fire at enemies in a 360 degree manner with the visual look being rift like arms coming out of ally with your current weapon firing at them as if you’re playing but your ally has the movement controls. This ability has a cooldown system like harac’s stalking ability and that you CAN jump from person to person allowing you to support yourself and you teammates by being  eyes on the back of their head. Drawbacks include the inability to engage in CQC while overwatching and that if the teammate dies while your overwatching them then you’ll die as well.

The only problem i have with Elites is that the bruisers rarely use their shotguns but when they do they have annoying knockback, even at long range the shotguns still apply knockback which is extremely frustrating  especially if your caught in the open where the bruiser can just shoot you over and over into a stunlock until you run out of health. even in some situation where i'm on higher ground, the knockback pulls (instead of pushing) me towards the bruisers which is reasonable but i feel like the devs didn't intend that.

agree with ya right there mate, I've just been through match on that one mission with the baby barges. we had three tier ones (including me) and one no-tier (who's playing Alicia) and we were able to relatively easily go through the match while keeping the no-tier alive (who doesn't even realize shes using a shotgun and keeps shooting from far away)

but every single time we had to cross over to the next barge, the no-tier just refuses to get on the platform even when all of us are are spamming the "get over here" ping the person continued to try and fight off the wardogs everytime. we repeated this process for the next three barges until they just left on the final bit of the mission. makes me wonder if they just skip the tutorial videos and thought they can just learn it on their own.

Suggestions / Re: NERF DOLDREN
 on: February 18, 2019, 04:44:55 AM
You may be right on that Ac3, but i always antag as Doldren when the majority of the raider team aren't Hades Division and even then it's somewhat a hassle. most of the characters can counter Doldren in some form or another. Hans can completely ignore CQC with his jetpack, Alicia can reach higher gound and fall faster than Doldren's spirit, konstantin can use his sphere to protect himself immediately once he hears the little chime before Doldren teleports, Ginebra can Cougar form to the antag and shoot him with the crossbow since (correct me if i'm wrong) the Cougar form is slightly faster than Doldren's spirit, etc. but most of that relies on an individual's skill rather than their teammates. but you know the saying "anything can happen."

I'm level 183 and it's worth saying that you should have a character that uses a maxed out bounty hunter perk so you don't have to sacrifice your main characters OR you can forge a gun with a balanced between Damage and Bounty hunter and forget putting points into things like reload speed and fire rate

Spacelords Universe / Re: Aneska Questions
 on: February 15, 2019, 07:41:54 PM
I always thought it was more that Aneska justed wanted to go back to Earth due to the whole "Forest" thing in the Hades Division entries and that she believed that Krausher would be the guy to get them back home. So she was willing to endure the abuses from Krausher and the detachment from anyone else in the Hades Division (HD) just so that in the long run, would get her back home. but after her boss fight she realized that she will not be able to leave the planet and joined the raiders out of safety or that she now believes that the raiders can help her get back home since that's what Harec wants to do, kick/kill every human off of the planet with the exception to those he recruits to help him on that crusade.

the thing about Krausher's head could be that of a sign of loyalty to Harec that she's over the Division and to help her relations with the other Division raiders, a useful tool to get information out of Krausher on stuff about the HD that Aneska and Schneider doesn't already know about that can prove useful against the HD, and finally it could be a personal vendetta against Krausher so that he doesn't get the mercy of dying, So he can watch as Aneska kills his men on a daily basis and party with the people that Destroyed his Planet Buster.

Suggestions / Re: Character Card Ideas
 on: February 15, 2019, 07:12:16 AM
New Ideas for Hive

1)  For every second that Hive has her Heal Meter full she gains increased max health up to 40 bonus health. she immediately loses it when she activates the Heal , at max it increases to 80.

2) when Hive is overhealed, she will gain increased movement speed, at max the movement speed increases further.

3) if Hive dodges next to an unmarked enemy then the enemy will be marked, at max the range of the marking will increase.

4) killing an elite soldier/player with the swarm will grant a buff (increased damage, increased hp regen, maybe an overheal or immunity) for 8 seconds (for immunity's case about 2 seconds). at max the buff lasts for 10 seconds.

5) all marked enemies will have their stress meter constantly on. at max they also lose small amount of health per second (about 1 or 2 hp per second) but this damage doesn't add onto the Heal meter)

Spacelords Universe / Re: New maps ?
 on: February 15, 2019, 06:46:09 AM
i'm hoping a new campaign for Shamash, the guy who showed up in the final end cutscene since the raiders are going to have to deal with that guy.  and what better character than Doldren to be featured for this campaign since he loves killing other locals, so much in fact that he get's sent to Ancient prison. and so the campaign will start with having to get Doldren out of that prison and then the rest can be steps into finding where Shamash is while fighting back his army (maybe they might add the local faction as the new enemies) then a Boss fight at the end.

i agree with Penguin there, i always thought that there were going to be Wardog suicide bombers you know? trying to run up to you and blow up. it would be something Marmalede would have had during his boss fight. and maybe Hades Division would have had gunslinger soldiers who had two pistols and could shoot two people at the same time and reload faster than the other soldiers.

Mate you're probably playing against a Doldren who has the Patience Faction card that allows for the one hit punches (every Doldren has one including me no exceptions). as for downsides Doldren is usually visible due to the Stess meter whenever he's using the teleport (with the exception of those who use the character card Algor Mortis which shuts it off for a couple seconds but if you haven't seen the enemy Doldren in a while, then assume he's using it.). that gives you time to prepare you and your teammates for CQC by grouping up together or play a character who has great mobility like Hans or Alicia (you can also use Harec and stalk around corners to see if he's behind cover) to find his body and promptly finish him due to that it takes about 2-3 seconds to turn the Astral Form off and 1 second to finish the animation of Doldren returning to his body.
