Bug report & Technical Support / Re: Report cheaters on PS4
 on: November 12, 2018, 04:13:01 PM
What you can do is save the clip and send it to MSE's support team. They've encouraged players to do it before as well as to report bugs. I personally do this and MSE responds every time, I've never felt that one of my reports has been ignored. It's also super easy and convenient to do this on PS4 with the share button.

Then feed, man. Pretend you're engaged in fighting the antagonists? You want them to pretend I guess. The next adjustment players will do in order to avoid getting banned for getting out of an unfair unfun situation would be to feed. I mean, they could just suck as a player a lot and always try to fight the elites and antag, and for some reason don't know how to attack as frequently. I mean, is this any better? They will just find other ways to get out of the game ASAP. Blaming the victims of a broken system is pretty shitty.

People don't like antagonists, they like progression and PvE. MSE doesn't reward enough for lost games, it becomes a waste of time.

Draco couldn't have worded it any more perfectly. It's toxic behavior, plain and simple. You're no victim, you're the problem. You're the one's encouraging toxic behavior and ruining the game for everyone. Draco points out your toxicity and that there's punishments for it and your response is "Well I'll be clever about my toxicity"

I vehemently dissagree. Simple as that.

You're just so empowered aren't you? You got the "law" on your side to support your griefing, good for you. We just need to accept our losing games and poor rewards, it's not the fault of poor design at all. Nothing ever could be, right? Because that would be impossible.

Let's say people simmer down here and you and Draco convince them to stop. They are irritated and calm down and go back and play their game. What in the world do you think will happen when another person get's a mentor mach with low level players and an antag? What are they going to do? What will they do when they fight tooth and nail with a person given the position of preventing progression in an already slow grind for 30 munites or more only to lose and feel like they A) Wasted their time, B) Was fooled in trusting the system to reward them for fighting an antag, and C) They're going to remember WHY they came to these forums in the first place. And remember that nothing you've suggested helped their situation at all. you offer NO solution to the problem.

So they will come back here and vent it out because they're not quite sure they want to stop playing the game, because they actually like a lot about it. And NEW people will come as well. We see them. Not even "the usuals", who say the SANE thing. Are you going to tell every single new person who complains about the antagonists system it's their fault as well? How many people will have to dislike the system until you think there could actually be a problem?

For the record: I didn't say I condone this behavior. I said I don't BLAME them and understand why. So get the fuck of my balls with this toxic acusation of supporting thier actions.

To quote you when I first came to the forums "It doesn't matter if you disagree" throwing is toxic behavior, whether you admit it or not, that's not gonna change. You then go on to say that you don't condone this behavior but I've seen you admit and celebrate the fact that you've thrown!  Not only that but in this very thread you put forward the idea of feeding to avoid punishment for intentionally killing yourself. So don't try to tell me you don't condone this behavior, you not only condone it, you encourage and even practice it. This is always you're argument when someone calls out your bullshit. "You're offering no solution to the problem" You're offering nothing but tantrums and excuses. Losing a game to someone who outplayed you is not a real problem. The problem is you and other players like you. You whine and whine about Antags, say they're trolls and killing the community but then you're perfectly fine with people throwing and ruining the game for everyone, Antagonist and Raiders, alike.

godamn you are a good framer. Cherry pikcing to, dispicable. Read the first response I posted here on this thread. No one is celebrating it you "politician". I've already said this.

Man you are a wall aren't you? Nothing more than an obsturction. There can be no words between us anymore. You're simply the opposition. We'll keep doing this dance for ever then. I'm game.

A tad much belittling me by calling me a politician and what not. And the "I'm game" thing? It's like you've just declared me your nemesis. But I think we can agree that at this point we've said all there is to say. We'll just keep repeating ourselves at this point.

So antags want the right to ruin the experience for others without anyone having a say on the matter (since apparently having a pve mode is a big no no), but when the raiders decide to ruin the experience then that’s when it’s bad, hmmm sounds unfair…

You're comparing playing competively and trying to win to actively sabotaging your own team.

Considering that they're locals they should do scary damage. Though not so much that it's broken but I want to be scared of them!

Throwing the game just ruins the experience for everyone. For yourself, your teammates and the Antagonist. How can people criticize people who play Antag, saying that they make people rage quit but are perfectly fine with sabotaging the game and ruining their teammates experience by throwing? This is honestly disgusting sometimes. It's amazing that MSE continues to listen and interact with the community despite having to witness crap like this.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Antagonist is too weak
 on: October 24, 2018, 12:05:38 PM
Antagonist is supposed to be challenging. In the Antagonist tutorial video Uras says "There are four of them and just one of you. Not even the best among you will be able to take them all on at once" You're encouraged to play it smart and pick your battles. Whether it be by isolating them, attacking when they're distracted or even just pushing at the same time as allied grunts. I know it's not easy but it's not supposed to be. But the challenge is what makes it so fun and rewarding. Just keep at it, learn through trial and error and you'll get better. Even watching some YouTube videos just to see how experienced players tackle it might be helpful. Good luck in future games. Make the glorious Uras-Beherit proud! >:)

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Mentor Matches and Antagonists...
 on: October 24, 2018, 11:57:25 AM
Incredible. You leave feedback in FEEDBACK and people lose their shit because they didn't like your opinion. I need to remind people that the name of this secion of the forums isn't called "discussion and Debate" it's called feedback. ALL that is fucking rqired of me is to leave my feedback and leave. Don't have to discuss it, don't have to defend it, don't have to do shit. Just drop off my experience here, REGARDLESS if other people like it.

that's it. That's ALL you do in a place called "feedback". Please stop being the gestapo here.

Let me make an honestly productive suggestion, no sarcasm. If you don;t like my feedback I HIGHLY recommend making a countering feedback thread saying how much you LOVE the Mentor matches, how GREAt that 20% XP bonus is, how you are exhilarated by the challenge of babysitting new players against max forged, max stat antagonists. Tell your experience...leave your...FEEDBACK. But don't bring your gag orders here.

You start your post by criticizing people for 'losing their shit' but then you proceed to throw a tantrum because people gave their opinions. It may be the feedback section but everyone is allowed to give their opinion on your feedback, whether they agree or disagree. That in itself is their feedback. They don't have to create a whole thread just to disagree. And if you want to get technical saying that this isn't called discussion and debate, I could say it's not called 'Tell players what to do' there's not much feedback at all. You're just telling experienced players to ignore mentor matches.

Apologies in advance for the slightly overdramatic essay. :p

I'd like to say that I highly discourage this. New players deserve a chance and honestly they surprise me often than not. It always puts a smile on my face when we're well coordinated and I get to watch a new player learn. Sure they can be really frustrating, especially on Blueprint missions but we were all new once. You win some and you lose some, just accept the loss, move on and try again. It took experience to learn the game. It's also worth noting it takes just 1 new player for it to be a mentor match. You could have three players be lvl 300+ and just 1 newbie for it to be a mentor match. I myself am currently around lvl 115 so I like to think I'm an experienced player even if I can't be called a vet since I wasn't playing before it became Spacelords. I went up against a team of new players on In Shock and they actually beat me. I was a little annoyed but also impressed. And I've teamed with experienced players who are way worse than most new players I get. The point I'm trying to make is that level doesn't matter. New players are NOT a liability. Players should be judged by their playstyle and not their level. My advice is that if you get a mentor match, don't decline, instead just give the new players a chance. Even if you lose there is always the next game. Don't be annoyed that you're getting new people, be happy that the community is growing.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Support for the Antag mechanic.
 on: October 23, 2018, 09:29:51 AM
It feels like a waste of time trying to defend playing Antag since people are so quick to whine and call you a troll who's killing the community but I still think it's important to know that there are plenty who support it.

So yes, I completely agree it shouldn't be optional. Just as using a gun shouldn't be optional, or boss fights, or... I'm sure you get my point by now. To me it's a core part of the game and I wish I encountered Antags more. They make the game feel different and new, it adds an exciting challenge no matter what side you're on. That's brings me to this, I hardly ever go up against Antags. I so rarely see them that it confuses me that people complain about them so much. And I'm tired of people carrying on like the Antag has some crazy advantage. It's 4v1 with the Raider's advantage. It's way harder to be an Antagonist then it is to be a Raider. And that's fine! It's supposed to be challenging.

As for any memorable moments... Had a pretty close game just yesterday as Shae on a Low Blow. I had such a good start that I thought for sure I would win. But when it got to the third phase it was really challenging. They had quite the comeback despite one of them unfortunately disconnecting. It was close but in the end they picked up the win. But I was fine with it because it was a really close game and I had fun. To me that's what Spacelords is about. A fun challenge whether you're a Raider or Antagonist. (Though I do love the story and characters as well :p )

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Level 500 antag
 on: October 15, 2018, 07:48:56 PM
NO!! It'fun. Stop your complaining, this is FUN goddamn it. PvP isn't the problem, YOU are the problem. High level opponents with maxed out weapons, stats and rare cards is just an excuse. You being in a mentor match with a baby Harecs and two pre level 100 players is an excuse. GUT GUD! And don't complain because this is the "vision" and how it's supposed to be. You BETTER have fun with this scenario, because it's blasphemy to think otherwise and it will always be your fault.
/s

Again, PvP should be optional. We clearly can't trust the system to work.

All they said was that they lost. Why are you trying to turn this into something it isn't?

Gameplay Feedback / Re: My Mentor Match Adventure
 on: October 03, 2018, 08:10:10 AM
I hate to say it but you made the game worse. I would get into specifics but after one mentor match (2 level 1 players) of In Shock with an antag I'm ready to quit. It's like you are too busy looking at data to actually play the game. We lost because I had to hold the switch instead of just flipping it and the antag simply waited for us to be stuck there to down us.

By the way, this change isn't listed anywhere in the patch notes. I'm sure it was just an oversight, just like allowing antags in mentor matches, right? I mean it's either a simple oversight or you want level 1 players against level 72 antags. Stupid is as stupid does.

And the community wonders why dev responses are so few and far between these days. Trash response from a trash person

Like your thread crying over getting knocked back by the Tolchock? We all get emotional but what benefit does this change have other than purposely making a mechanic have a higher failure rate? Can you even solo this on Insane?

And let's not pretend that you know anything about me. So for you to call me a "trash person" reflects more on you than it does on me.

Draco simply expressed that he believes the Tolchok is unbalanced. He didn't whine or throw a tantrum about losing. Unlike Draco however you're incredibly disrespectful and whine about every little thing you don't like about the game. Karen took the time to reply to this thread and you're instant reaction is to respond by whining and being disrespectful. It's amazing that the devs continue to interact with the community despite the treatment they get from you and others like you. Every time I see a comment like yours I worry that this how they think majority of the community acts. You're not just offering criticism. You're whining and throwing a tantrum then when a dev shows up you lash out at them.

I have to agree. A Tolchok is extremely frustrating to deal with. I don't even feel the damage or the push is the problem. It's supposed to do that. But the stunning lock is just too much. There's just nothing you can do the second it gets a shot on you. It can't be countered.

How many handicaps do you want an Antagonist to have? The respawn time is super long, it's 4v1, there's no grunts to get ammo from. Would you be satisfied if they spawned without ammo or maybe just to be safe their limbs should be removed too?
