Yeah man it really sucks that Ayana has those Shae voices. It feels like a mod :( Hoping that you correct it before than later. Btw it has been like that since she came out, cant believe you didnt notice lol.

+1 Also more animations for the raiders as well. It would be cool if they have different touches while avoiding and while dying. They always die the same way regardless what hit them, not to be  morbid or anything but a shotgun wouldnt hit you the same way a lost bullet or a explosion.

Not a bad idea, just tone down a little bit the price for example ANESKA for $5 and throw in increments of $5 for blueprints and stuff. Obviously make her available via gold.

Having supported the point, can we just stop the "ANTAGONIST SUCKS"- Antags are psycho-bullies-horrible-people, "the game is broken" and shit like that?
It really isnt encouraging to arrive to the forums and see shit like that. Especially for newcomers.

Now that I have got another crew to play Heroes of the storm I have left Raiders sorry SPACELORDS for a while. They have invited me to play Borderlands which I really dont find appealing and I have realized that I just can't go and play new games especially multiplayer games. I don't even have a family and shit and really can't spare time to learn new mechanics, lore, etc.

For me is the opposite I kinda dislike the progression system in (still called, Raiders of the Broken Planet). I just feel that I play and play and dont get that much (Still regretting those 240k on HIVE, wtf mercury at least refund a little bit of that, when I saw she was 90K I really felt BETRAYED). Having said that the gameplay is way better than even Gears of War which I loved for a while.

I just got thinking that if I invite my friends from HOTS to SPACELORDS, I'll have to explain A LOOOOOOT of things. Whats is ALEPH, the card system, the bonus for factions, why do we have to overcharge EVERYTHING with ALEPH!

Problems like "WTF, dude we have to play so much to unlock other characters" "Weapons take forever to unlock why can't we pick stuff from the ground!" "The fuck with the skins costing so much"  are things that are gonna put people off if you dont have a gripping story/characters and you have them! Just IMHO not in the right order/structure.

The story that is a mess not in the bad way is awesome but I just go and watch it objectively from a newcomer perspective and my friends are gonna be like why is the boss with us now? We played with her before why is she captured now? and stuff like that. Not to mention that I really don't get why URAS is against the Raiders and not against other factions it really doesnt make much sense. What is the brilliant plan of the Raiders for example? Restoring the relics, ok but we dont see much about that.

The problem is that to get INTO the game you really have to read LORE, nothing wrong with it. Problem is that character are not that recognizable from the get go, like, in you know the little game that Enric hates...Characters in Raiders are better way more real, therefore less idealized. Normies don't like subtetly as much as they say they do on top of that they kinda overlap between them and the silhouettes arent that recognizable not to mention and Im gonna sound rude but WHY HAREC IS THE LEADER, JUST WHY!? I dont want to sound pretentious but the "Leader" or the main character of a game with several playable characters better be an all rounder like BLOODY LYCUS and not one of the most difficult if not the hardest character to use. I know that once you get the hang of it Harec is a beast but that is something like 300 hours into the game not in the 5 min tutorial...

I applaud your SPACELORDS launch with the intro setting LYCUS as the "Main character" He has way more charisma than Harec why wasnt he the main character????!!! (He even was the inspiration of the whole philosophy of the game!) I suppose that it was due to the story in Alien myths but I think that it would have worked out better if you just put the Lycus mission after he is established as the leader. (It would be pretty cool if you were like "OMG they captured our crazy/powerful leader these motherfuckers must be though! Instead of that most players dont even know who the f is Lycus) Now that I think of it and maybe was due to problems in the development of the game, etc. I have always felt that Alien myths was supposed to be the very last campaign. Even the final encounter against URAS feels out of place in the FIRST campaign. (Btw who was the genius that suggested to have the events of the campaign at the same time? It really gets confusing and not lore/player theories friendly. Not to mention that it really sidetracks other cool characters like Iune I really want INTRO cutscenes with the rest of them, preferably in the campaing they belong as a way of introducing them to the big picture. Characters like HIVE, Mika and Doldren feel quite random and out of place sometimes. Shae and Ayana interactions in cutscenes would be comic gold as well with Iune and Loath...just the possibilities... )

Actually you know what...If you reworked the eternal soldier campaign AND Alien Myths I feel the story would be way better structure wise. A Single player campaign playing as Lycus (Eternal Soldier), a far better character for new comers. It could be even outside the broken planet (btw maybe is in the lore but  "Broken Planet" is the actual name of the planet?) Just imagine playing that shoot out in the intro of SPACELORDS invading the Hades facility, then facing ANESKA and eventually losing. When he is knocked out he remembers other raids, one against the Council and another one against the Wardogs, perhaps even one against the OLD LOCALS, that would really spice things up for new comers like wtf there was an army in the broken planet BEFORE the actual invasion! That way new comers know who the factions are and their motives to come to the planet. He could even encounter Alicia and Kons or at least see them in the background. Even play that mission on his skin lore the one from Prussia that would be really cool. NO ALEPH, NO CORTEZ, NOTHING. Just Lycus and his demons literal and methaphorical. Then he wakes up when he is being tortured. AFTER THAT you could have the mission in which you rescue him. 

I respect your writers but I just don't feel Harec that much, he is cool in the sense of a mysterious character but he has too much screen time for that. (With the head hunter skin as a default one, appearing one night after killing a shit ton of enemies throwing their heads in front of the other raiders as a way of proving his worth would be cool AF) He is not easy to play. He is not even that likeable, he is pissed all the time. IMHO he would work way better as a sort of ranger/avenger of his people that just one bloody day appears at the Raiders lair to offer his services, pay a due to his people or something  similar. OR crank up to eleven the differences between him and Lycus I thought they were going to have problems due to Shae or who was going to be the leader but when you rescue LYCUS,  he is literally just like "WHATEVER DUDE" He doesnt yearn for revenge or payback or something. He just goes to be another character in the rooster and Harec who again IMHO just doesnt have the charisma of a Solid Snake, Dante, Marcus Phoenix, Jim Raynor, etc to carry out the leader/main character role stays as the focus of the story...

You really need to get A CHARACTER that people says "Yeah I want to be that motherfucker!" Maybe is Lycus, heck maybe Aneska but I really think that Harec isnt. I just think of a season 2 arc and Harec just doesnt come in my mind. I really like him as a "misteryous character" but not as much more. Even URAS would be way more attractive as the main character of season 2. Think about it. The zeitgeist is filled with antiheroes, nihilism, etc. You have things like Infinity war, Lovecraft, etc.  Then you have this ancient space demon in the corner that you wont see much if you just play as a Raider, I mean, come on! Its better than a grumpy sniper...

Sorry for the wall of text, congrats if you arrived here. I'll post a little more about gameplay wise changes that I think would be beneficial to the game. I just got carried away too much with the story. This time that I have been playing HOTS I just think of their characters and their lore, redescovering all titles like Wacraft 3 and starcraft and comingback for more just because of the charisma of those games. Personally I'm not that interested in the progress. To be honest it doesnt even make that much difference in PVP (except for Tolchock and R&R in the broken side and other guns in the underpowered side) Being around level 60 I have beaten teams of 100-300+lv players as antagonist and antagonist in the same level. So level is not a excuse for poor performance. Having said this at the same time what is the point of leveling up? At least if I could unlock minor cosmetics with gold or faction points I'll try but there is not that much incentive to GRIND. I come and go but not as intense as I once was playing this game.

Is it just me or Mercury Steam could be preparing something cool for Gamescom18 like a really cool and long trailer! Hoping that this is the answer to the lack of trailers and news.

There is however the Nvidia utility if you push alt+f2. It freezes the game in single player, you can move the "camera" around a little bit and take your shots with few effects and filters. In multiplayer the games keeps going and is not that useful.

It would be great to have a sort of "replay" system. Being able to follow each raider/antag and even enemies. I think it would be a great aid for newcomers and veterans alike.

+1 I have won against even 200+ and I was barely 50. I know that Mercury tries hard but maybe the levels werent the best option. Maybe if no one could see your level? Also some Hero Killer weapons like the one for Harec that 4x damage if fully loaded kinda suck. I put all my points on hero killer thinking that it would headshot anyone but is mostly the same :(

Its really nice that Schneider is out but I still dont have the level to unlock him, oddly enough I have the gold.

It would be cool to have new raiders unlocked for everyone for a week and then rotate free raiders to try.

It must be really suck for new players to log in and see everything closed. For me it was a downer that I need 10 levels to unlock him.

Well, I've got to give it to you that even if you bitch when we get an antag you kinda crawl with it. However, even if rewards are not that great remember when we beat a top anta? It was really cool, the least thing we care about was the rewards.
People focusing too much about balance and rewards are missing out on beating out the odds. Aside from that there is a lot you can learn from watching antags. I thought for some stupid reason that Alicia was one of the worst raiders. I was playing antag getting loss afer loss, then I realized that the common factor on those matches was Alicia!

I saw how other people played her and gave me some ideas to beat them as antagonist and then used her against antagonists. IT IS A CORE part of the game we shouldnt really get rid of it. Its like playing a moba and saying you know it would be better if it was more like an RTS, its not that type of game. Same with raiders it has that particular point. For me it really gets me nuts that it doesnt have side weapons AND grenades. WTF Mercury but I carry on because its their particular point of view on the genre.

Still I think Mercury should just make the option to play antag free with a little less rewards if you detest it that much and boost a little bit more if you are willing to get antag. They would have to get rid of the affinity thingy for weapons, maybe adding a faction point cost would be a solid option. Still keep the Aequilibrium I think that part benefits you and your team whether you antag or not.

Another game mode that I think it would be cool is several antagonist vs themselves and the CPU.  That way the "psychos" that still want to play antag can do it while not "trolling" raiders. That or bot Raiders. It would be a really nice complement to single player mode. Having a solo antag mode would rock! Just imagine up to 8 bot raiders vs you and an army of minions!

As a final note I think threads like "OMG THIS GAME SUCKS" "ANTAGONISTS KILLS ALL THE FUN" should stop or at least argument a little before just ranting along with a less clickbaity title. You will get more "exp" I mean real experience by getting mobbed down, yes is not fun but when you win and you eventually win is so rewarding.

Personally I stand at level 49 and just get great joy from beating a team of 4 in 150-250 level. They are like "pff we are going to wreck this guy" and then I win. All the odds were against me and coming on top of it that is something I wouldnt trade for "fairness" sometime I get owned and thats ok too. If you really dont want to "endure" this mechanic you can play less or quit a week or so and then come back I have done this and it really refreshes your look out of the game.

Mercury steam has the complete right to make the game however they want they will succed or fail but they know that it was their decision, not the publisher, not the marketing, not the press. It was theirs. Players not wanting antag mode, fine. Nobody forces you to keep playing. But certainly you just dont have the right to FORCE Mercury to change it. It was announced quite early, even as the premise of the game, 4vs1. You knew what you were getting into it. I remember when they said that it was going to be a hard game and I just laughed "Sure buddy just like COD or Gears 4 hour campaigns". They keep their promises we have to give them that.

There is always Overcrap if you want your user family friendly experience. (I just played it in a free weekend, the lore is cool and the characters are fine but what an underwhelming game feel. Floaty, cheap, alpha like...its way worst than I imagened it, it really felt like a weird mod for Quake 3 with downgraded speed, classes and a cell shaded look)

Just remember you can be instabanned for undesired "behaviour" along with vastly inferior graphics and dumbed down mechanics.  ;)

+1 it would be reallyt cool if you added bots as raiders and even IA antagonist. Along with crazy difficulties if you just want to challenge yourself or how certain builds would work out. It would really add longevity to the game especially when you can't get games or your usual squad isnt available.

I think they should really go all in with free 2 play model. Make the free version get regular xp and the pay one 2x XP along with some other little bonus.
Also please get more content like 10$ skins, weapons, mission types and the inclusion of custom matches, teams of 2 and 3. 4vs4vs4vs4 would be really cool!

I think cutting and pasting sections of maps could work. In "In media res" the second time you have to get around the decoder there is this massive unused part of the level, the one where there are a lot of machine gun emplacements. It looks so awesome!, there are small places like that all over the game.

The overall design of the game is great but a couple of points just arent cutting it. The antagonist is one which I love but an option for ticking it off along with an increase of rewards when you play as antag would do wonders. Having said this make a "solo" antag mode with raider bots. In virtua fighter there are these sort of pre made "loadouts" for characters with a certain play style emulating real pro players. It could really work, that way you get your blueprints, antag affinity and nobody gets salty!

Second part: Repurpose those damn maps!!! They are great, full of details the problem is what makes them great in the first place. They are like tight porcelain displays. Yes there is some variation on which raiders you have,  if there is antagonist but apart from that not much else. For example what if there were 2 routes in the prologue? Right when you have to takedown the gunships, what if you could board them? What if you could go in a U swing to go around the blockade. I'm not saying its easy but it could work.

Another part of repurposing the maps as I said is to give different objective to the same map, start them in different order. For example a breath of hope start right into the last part of  the map fend off a wave of enemies and then proceed in that direction. I know the answer "Hey the cinematics dont work like that!" To that I say to add an "extra" mode. Missions off context/non cannon after all the mechanics arent that realistic. How is it possible that a throw effing desintegrates you but explosives only hurt you?! How is it possible that you have LIVES?! I have never got that part right btw are you a clone or you are "re integrated"?! The thing is those levesl are awesome but they are somewhat underused. A death match on the first part of a breath of hope, rushing down to activate turrets to hunt down the enemy team would be great!

Third part: Go with the times.

I know that the team wants to do their own thing and do it right. But the times arent precisely favorable to do this. I'll say it agains do re colors for skins there is no shame in that. Even better make skins that "pay homage" to other franchises, characters, etc. Blizzard does it and nobody gives them shit so why can't you? Just imagine a Samus aran zero suit for ginebra, a Belmont skin for Harec, a Dante one for Lycus.

Raiders raid right? What I mean is I dont see much purpose for the campaign structure, it kinda is confusing for new players. For example you can play any given mission watch the custscene and then have a team that never appears on cutscenes! Who is this Mikah? Ginebra is hot but whats her deal? Wasn't Kuzman an enemy? It is really akward.

I know that someone up there at Mercury has a particular dislike for Overw... I get it, its really overvalued but the characters have some charm. Having said this Raiders has more charisma, problem is you have to be a lore master in and outside the game to appreciate it.

If you changed to "raids" instead of campaings meaning a singular level with a "prologue" a sort of written intro in which states, objectives, who is who that kind of thing. In and out. On top of that most of my play sessions are missions from here and there instead of a campaign in order.

+1 to the unicorn riding thing but.... What if second season is about invading earth? Because Harec is trying to kick out humans back to their planet what if the other agressive locals end up in earth? I think it would be cool to see how earth is according to mercurys vision.
I havent read all of the lore but there is one for Alicia that really made me think of visiting earth at least in a campaign.
