Unfortunately until they fix matchmaking these problems will continue. We have no idea how it actually works and how it matches people together but it's just awful. It takes so long to find a match and when you do the levels are all over the place that's why i rarely do quickplay with randoms. It's better to just find people you get along with and just squad up.

Even though I hate antag matches I do hope they fix this soon I definitely feel like the game goes into like 10% mmr when there's an antag. They need a more consistent spawn rate and decent Ai for these matches. It makes no sense sometimes the computer becomes godly and swarms the entire time but most of the time they're useless.

Also the rewards are still trash for both sides win or lose. Nobody plays antag unless it's for affinity or fun. I think gold and faction points need to be much higher than for normal matches to give incentive for both sides to want to play them. A good start would be 3-5k gold and 2-3k faction points.

True I did get lucky recently with Harek v Rak. It's just such poor design. All the other raiders have weaknesses to counter thier strengths. Rak is a DPS, healer, tank, crowd control, and scout. You can't have that on one character and call your game competitive.
Tell that to schneider, hive and valeria lol.

Yeah if you don't use a sniper/long range character on rak good luck getting close enough to kill him. Hans is also a really good counter for rak.

Making antag options will bottleneck competition and cause more problems than it'll solve. It's been established that a well coordinated an prepared group of raiders Trump's most antags. If it's made optional only teams that are sure they'll win will choose to fight making antag victory even more frustrating and unlikely for mid lv's than it is now.

Maybe this just highlights a bigger problem with the antag system? It's not well balanced for either side, this week its in favor of raiders while next week it might be in favor of the anatgs. MMR just doesn't work and certain characters have stupidly over powered builds that are hard to counter.  As an antagonist you're more likely to run into these try-hard builds that can also melt bosses in just a few seconds.

You don't have to go through all that trouble anymore just invite them to your squad through the in-game player search. Doesn't matter what region just type their username.

I just hate when you grapple first but because of delays and lantency the elites sometimes beat your grapple with theirs. There's also some elevation issues where if you're grappling from a ledge it will fail and you'll get grabbed instead. This also applies to strikes, and you can end up "failing" even though you're obviously in range.

Yeah thanks for the tips on Aneska @Ojuel. Though it sometimes can feel impossible to reach the correct pump in time with all the elites and shotgun ads swarming the map. Just have to git gud!

I probably just need to git gud but can you guys chill with the engineers and aneska. They just stare at the console for less than one second and the aleph is already gone. Aneska's fuel recharging barely gives you any time to put in the aleph and if you're not 2 cm away from it don't even bother attempting to run to it cuz you not making it in time.
