During lulls in combat I never see anyone just blast away at Dion. Are you not able to just destroy him while he's dangling up there? Is that not a valid strat?

I think the progression system is fine. There's a lot of hyperbole to it, making you think you're completely out gunned but it's not that much of a difference.
The progression system is needed to deal with the increasing difficulty and strength of the AI in matches, which is synced to your MMR. I wouldn't want it to be stripped away and have weaker characters meanwhile the maps kick my ass 150 levels in.

Yeah I knew I was probably a weak character vs her and those weapons, but what was particularly frustrating was the fresh off the download new players that I couldn't carry.
The least they could do was the objectives right away but like moths to a flame they just ran at her most of the time and got merked.

I just farmed a bunch of gold to unlock this character and I get matched up with rookies vs a broken gun toting Alicia?
Any reasonable strats vs this weapon and the newer Konstantin gun with pushback? One single shot just wrecks me the second I'm out of cover.
