Then make it to where you cant report the antagonist. Also if the player is lagging and gets stuck there then they should leave the match and just accept the 5 minute penalty I lost 20,000 gold because of him so why should I get punished just because he doesn't want to take the penalty?

On top of that I don't believe he was lagging because he was able to move around, emote, and etc. for the sudden death he just turned around and continuously jumped off the ledge.

So there is a block feature in Spacelords (That doesn't seem to do anything...) and typically I am not one to report people. However, I have came across a fourth person who has serious ruined the game for not just me but the team. I am playing on my Steam account and was playing a game with 3 tier 6's and a purple tier 3 player. Mission difficulty isn't too hard. However, the two other tier 6 raiders didn't know how to play. The Konstantin didn't know how to use his ability at all and the Shae (to my knowledge) didn't even use her gun. A typical new player experience. Now where the frustration comes from is the fact the purple tier 3 player did LITERTALLY nothing for the team. I even remembered his PlayStation account name, "JoHaNYAG", and I wanted to block him until I realized the block system doesn't work. I still see blocked people in my games and I still receive messages from them. So I vote we scrap the block system and add in a "vote to kick" or "report player" feature. Reported players cannot play the game within a day versus a tiny 5 minute penalty.

Thanks to this player I could not level up sense we lost by becoming overwhelmed with enemies and I imagine the fellow tier 6s were also annoyed sense they actually tried. There needs to be harsher and more punishments for toxic players like this.

Tier 1 Aneska, Tier 5 Harec, Tier 6 Hans, and me a Tier 6 Hive. Then a Tier 1 Rak...Why am I getting pinned against Tier 1 antagonist? I will give it the benefit of the doubt sense we had a Tier 1 Aneska, however, Rak is a counter. I cant be mad about that though. What I am mad about is the fact it left more than HALF of the team at a disadvantage. We managed to get out of spawn and the antagonist didn't do any cheap moves (up till the end but that is to be expected...no one wants to lose not even the antagonist) but what the main issue is the fact that I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO FIGHT TIER 1s. I have NO passive stats and some may think "oh they don't change that much" which is dead wrong. With Hive's full essence bar the Rak only needed 3 punches to kill me. He didn't have any cards to increase melee. I know people will say 3 punches is enough to dodge, which I will agree and I often did and then punched back...which literally just tickled him. As a tier 6 Hive I have to relay on the plague and its fart cloud for CQC outside of that I am fucked.

Before people call me a "sore loser" I don't care that I lost I truly don't. I care that I lost to a tier 1 antagonist while more than half the team has only played for a couple of days. THIS is why people are leaving the game. Newer players can't win its a constant struggle of "Oh my first rare blueprint mission I have seen in a month! I cant wait to get [insert desired gun here]" and then get fucked over by a tier 1 antagonist. It is ridiculous and the game design needs to be changed for the player base to grow and make the game more successful.

The immunity time always ran out before we could make it out. As a tier 6 the second that immunity ran out I was still just barely out of the range. She then either finished me off with her gun or just sent another orb out. I tried every trick to leave the area but couldn't. The problem is both the match making and Shakura because even though I could have gotten out as a higher tier it still would have been unfair and annoying as hell...but I guess that's why people play antagonist to annoy people. Again all of her guns have synergy other than Shakura and it makes all of her other guns useless. When was the last time you saw a Valeria use anything other than that gun? Its too strong and is killing off the newer players. That and the level cap but that's a whole post in its self

As someone who has started over completely on Spacelords, going from a veteran player who is max level on Xbox but is now a tier 6 on steam, I can see why they did the new Aleph system, however, I can see the major flaws with the system. The new Aleph system helps newer players sense we get matched with higher tier players. The matches are typically harder which means adds are stronger and as a low tier player it takes more than 2 to 3 hits to kill an elite. However, on the flip side most of the Aleph points are in antagonist spawn and like you mentioned now that elites don't drop anything other than ammo now most low tier players wont kill them anymore.

The thing about playing against an antagonist is a challenging topic for me now. As a max ranking person I love to see an antagonist because it provides a challenge to the game (when the adds aren't instantly downing you in one or two hits). However, as a low tier it sucks to have an antagonist especially if they are a higher tier with much better guns against your low tier raider group. If there is a tier 1 raider sure I get it but not if we are all tier 4's and below. That is why I say the MMR system should be removed and matchmaking should be determined but the tier levels. Tier -, 6, and 5, get matched with that, tier 5, 4, and 3s get matched up with that, and tier 3, 2, and 1 get match with that.

As for the CQC system...it is broken right now I don't know how they managed that. Over cover grapples completely fail every time, punches are not beating grapples and grapples are not beating dodges. Dodges seem to be the only thing saving people right now. On top of all that I tested this while my ping was PERFECT so I cant blame the ping. As of right now your best bet is to lower your MMR to have fun...Just know if you are gonna antag with a low MMR you will be hurting newer players and they might leave the game making the game suffer even more so

I think what yall are not understanding is the fact that we couldn't get to her. If it was a larger map yes I understand the circle her tactic. I am a max tier player who started over on steam. I am not just some new player complaining about random shit that kills me in one match. I am complaining because a group of low tier players we couldn't do shit about it. The highest level tier was 4. She killed us all and then placed her orb directly in front of the hallway that our spawn point is on while the Valeria hid behind the crates behind her bridge. There was no way to leave spawn, none of us had Doldron because none of us have bought/rented him and even if we did it wouldn't have mattered because her bridge was already instantly downing the Shae that we had and the Valeria was standing directly behind her bridge. Again I am not mad that we lost I truly don't care about losing anymore. I am mad because the Valeria just had to kill 3 people (one of the raiders left) and then just place down her bridge. All her other weapons provide a sort of synergy, Shakura does now...Shakura just has to exist and your dead and you cant do anything about unless you a Harec with stronger guns or a doldren with a good amount of points into CQC/stronger gun. This weapon needs a nerf and if MSE wont do that then it needs to be taken out of the game before more player base quit.

Players use to complain about The Whip being overpowered and MSE has nerfed that to hell but they will allow this shit? It makes no sense for Valeria to have this sort of power. At least with Hive's plague you have to aim and get close to the enemy.

The damage of her tracker gun is super weak. Think of small tick damage on one enemy. I never thought about making the gun a small fire arm though. Thanks for the input <3

My strategy for valeria would be to play a character with  a high health pool and a hp regeneration card. though it was a big open map, double agent, me and a team of players had a valeria antag.  I could tell they kept staying behind cover and using the rosen bridge to kill. My teammates, while they used the enemy Ai to go after me.  though i kept eliminating them,  which pissed off the Valeria player. so after he or she spawned where i was, most likely to kill me in order to stop me from Killing their minions they gave orders to. They foolishly followed me into a trap, which a doldren player on my team and i traded blows with them and took the Valeria player out. After that they logged off,  it's all about bait and expose in the open for me anyway. find a way to lure out that Valeria antagonist and set them up with a little ambush or trap.

Which would work if I had characters with a high health pool but again all low tiers we were basically playing the starter characters against a tier 1 Valeria with zero point

As a tier 6 I cant bring Doldren because I don't have him were he is a viable option. I cant use Harec is there is no way behind her. I cant take Valeria because her level requirement is too high for me to get her.

You. Cannot. Beat. Her. if she places her bridge in the spawn door way and she hides on the side behind cover of the map and no one can get to her. If I was a higher tier with every raider in the game like I am on Xbox I wouldn't be as mad as I am because I could have brought a viable Doldren. But as a tier 6 raider my punches only do 1 damage to an antagonist who can do 80. And yes I know grapples beat dodges but I cant grapple whenever her orb instantly downs me

i don't share your opinion.

full powered shakura is OP against new players, as any other full powered weapon. moreover situation where shakura is uncounterable are few...

then i'm not sure but i think there is often a high player in teams with high antag.

and finally players have to learn that all team need a counter antag, who need to think about the worse situation possible on the map.
for example, beast'lair --> valeria + shakura, so the counter antag must choose a character to counter that.

is shakura strong ? yes.
is shakura unbeatable ? no.

Im not saying its unbeatable I'm saying its impossible to fight against if the whole team is a low tier and with the mission being too tight together. For example Hanging by a thread. Not even a Harec can stalk out of the door without dying. The team could not win at that point

So let me explain my frustration. Every raider in the game has a weapon were you have to try to actually get kills. Yes some may be a little better than the rest, for example plague. Plague is a powerful weapon although Hive still has to be near the target to even get useful damage out. However, Shakura you literally just have to sit behind cover and send the ball out.

Now I am the last person to call something overpowered, I will always see something as a counter to something else. Which I will admit Harec is an amazing counter for Valeria. That being said Shakura is beyond this. I recently started over on Spacelords on Steam to get the full feel of a new player experience. I can now understand why so many new players are leaving.

MMR puts low tier players with a tier 1 valeria with Shakura? That's an instant lose for the raiders! Especially if its on tight missions like "Hanging by a Thread" The Valeria just sat in the back and sent her overpowered death orb flying at our spawn. I am not even mad that we lost to her I am mad because she didn't even have to try! All of her other guns have a sort of synergy and that's what I love about Valeria, the fact two things in her kit work so amazingly well together. Shakura's only "synergy" is the fact that the gun reduces cooldown...which her other guns do to. This gun is the reason so many new players are quitting that and the impossible grind for xp! Why do max level players only get a maximum of 400xp while low level players get nothing on the fifth day? This maxs no sense...if the level cap is going to be capped make it where even low level people get a little something on the fifth day! They are struggling and struggling isn't a grind its a chore.

I don't use Konstantin that much either, however, I have put enough time into every character to sorta know what works best on them. Konstantin's weapons (like most of the other raiders) depend on the players playstyle.

His base gun is good but boring and I don't recommend it compared to his other guns. His second common shtorm, or however its spelled, is way better in every aspect but is basically the same with a piercing gimmick; If enemies are in a row you will damage the whole row. Tolchok is an amazing gun if you want to keep a distance between you and the enemies, however, with the recent update to push effects idk how if its still a viable option.

His rare guns are quite interesting as well. The UV9 can shoot a rocket if kept in the middle pressure however it is not instant and you cannot shoot while the rocket is charging...a good gun but I don't use it myself. His hornet is an amazing gun and my most used weapon in his kit. Basically its like his base gun but WAY more accurate. It is basically a death laser that has bullets that bounce off cover, floors, and the roof. Think of Ginebra's rare gun but in a more direct fashion

I actually had my own idea for a 5th Council unit who uses incendiary weapons that can cause Damage over Time. Haven't decided on an ability yet.

Perhaps we can combine our thoughts and come up with a solid concept

Gameplay Feedback / Capped XP is a major flaw

Hello! So I usually play on Xbox. I am maxed level and have everything in the game (other than Short Nine because I currently don't have the gold for it) and I always questioned why people complain about the capped XP sense I was still getting XP on the last quickplay. Even if it was only like 300 XP or less (most likely less) per game. However, I recently decided to start over on steam just to feel the current system and how it treats newer players.

I am only level 8 on my steam account and I have to say I can no longer complain about low tier players constantly dying. I already knew the game was punishing in the sense of PvP. The higher your tier the more damage and resistance to damage you have. I can see how this could be a good thing by teaching newer players to be more careful while fighting another player, however, it doesn't work this way. It is now just a tier 1 bullying lower tier players or vice versa. On top of that the capped XP makes it almost impossible for me to have fun. I no longer feel as if I am being rewarded and it is taking me so much longer to get things that would help me counter a higher tier player who is constantly killing me. For example, I play Konstantin and I am fighting against a tier 1 Hive with plague. Keep in mind the rest of my team is tier 6 or 5s. I don't deal enough damage to down her, hell I barely damage her and she can just hit me through a wall then Zoomba dance till I'm dead. If I was a higher level I could have used Mikah to get out of there but I can get Mikah because I have to be level 18 (I think) which I cant get to because I have to wait a whole day to get to level 9.

This is why the game is slowly dying. Your punishing new players for trying a game where there are already tons of veteran players who can join just because their MMR is low and newer players cant even fight back because after 5 games they cant level up. It's insane! Please fix this...this is coming from a player who has experienced both sides of the argument.
