Gameplay Feedback / Re: The Antagonist system need reworked.
 on: April 25, 2018, 12:07:13 PM
Since the game release people in forums are bitching about the core concept that the devs were very clear about since the very beginning - the game is meant to be played in online mode with 4 vs 1 player. Offline is for training and testing.
If you don't like the Raiders of the broken planet then go play God of war 4 or any other game that is "better" or "makes more sense" or "is more fair".

P.S.
to compare Rotb to God of war is same as to compare FIFA to Little Big Planet. Two absolutely different games with nothing in common.

I think when you pull out a win, and the mmr is at or above the level of all the raiders in the group, a blueprint should drop. If the win is a 'gimme' or its a loss, the chance to drop a blueprint should be much lower.
You'll never get a difficulty score at or above the MMR of all the raiders in the group. The difficulty seems to be calculated as the average value of group member's MMR or very close to it. I've never had a game with similiar or higher difficulty level than my MMR. Currently at 60-70 MMR and mission difficulty goes at around 40-60. I think I once got 65 difficulty game, but that was when I got lucky to get randomly matchmaked with 3 of my favourite players and in that game I was the one getting carried through.

Mikah is much more useful character - better cards and more versatile weapons. Alicia sucks and the higher the MMR the more useless she becomes.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Game crashes

Why don't you just press PS button, select "close application" and then run the game again? You'll log in and have the option to rejoin the started game. My game also tend to freeze every now and then but it's not PS3 where you have to actually turn off/ restart the system. On PS4 you just close the application and start it again.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Schlueder needs a nerf

I think it's all because Ginebra is last character you get so there's lot of myths about how super cool she is from poeple who hasn't even used her themselves. I got her, tried her and hated her. She is slow, her weapons are slow and running away from mobs in cat form doesn't solve the problem that you still need to kill them. Ginebra is easiest character from 5th council to swarm and can be ounched and grappled in her cat form.
If you have to fight Ginebra antagonist, all you have to remember - don't run in straigth line towards the antagonist when he aims at you. He will miss his 1st shot, start to freak out and miss the rest of them.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Hans' "Warm" gun question
 on: April 20, 2018, 11:34:01 AM
Well, WARM does massive damage to Aneska - you can just follow her constantly melting her and smashing mobs in face during the process. The first protector mission - can take down flying nodes in 5 seconds. The hades have at least 3 cards that make your character very good at melee, so you just need a gun that can deal with targets that can't be meleed.
About Kuzmann - he moves all the time and that's enough to miss him, but you can always just get very close to him and shoot directly in the face and you'll get massive crit. Just don't fly to your teammates afterwards.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Hans' "Warm" gun question
 on: April 20, 2018, 10:33:46 AM
You just need to be very precise with WARM. It still can do insane amount of damage to stationary targets or in choke points where you can hit multiple enemies. I started using WARM after all the nerfs and it's my favourite gun for Hans. Also the dude has some very good cards that allow him to be a melee beast, so I ususally just go around punching mobs in face and shooting only the targets that I know I'll actually hit for instant massive damage.
Also the beholder tentacles are glitched (or I am, dunno which one). If you hit them as soon as they are deployed, you'll get "immune" notification but at the same time the system will most likely count them as destroyed. I have this to happen in Shae rescue mission almost every time. It's not 100% sure to happen but it does happen very often for me when using WARM.

Spacelords’ Advice / Re: Weapons and reward attributes
 on: April 19, 2018, 03:18:53 PM
Does anyone know how high player level is required to reach max forge level? I'm saving blueprints for max level but on high MMR I deal less damage than AI. Started to think that maybe it's time to start forging if the max forge level require some sky high player level.

Suggestions / Re: One Player Failed to confirm Presence
 on: April 19, 2018, 09:59:15 AM
There is actually an easy fix for this. What I think is happening is someone wanders off while waiting on match making. The game requires no input to continue repeatedly teaming people up. The fix would be to require a player to confirm with a button press to continue match making once being kicked out for not confirming.
Dude... That's exactly what happens when you fail to confirm your presence. You get kicked out of matchmaking.

I am a very lazy person and if a game has both PvP and PvE then I usually avoid PvP completely - just because I'm too lazy to make different loadouts for PvP and PvE. Because of this I've played all Souls games in phantom form, I never tried PvP in FF XIV and basically the general idea is - just one mode.
In RoTB I have no problems with antagonist settings because the game doesn't force me to have different loadouts. All my characters have just one loadout that works perfectly in both PvE and PvP and both modes take same amount of effort. That is why I seriously don't understand the many complaints about antagonists. They make this game more fun and with Hades update it's now so easy to get exp for them even for those who absolutely don't like them. Just 1-2 games and you have your antagonist affinity.

Gameplay Feedback / Re: Schneider Escort mission
 on: April 16, 2018, 12:55:49 PM
Wow. Super difficult mission where you have to have 1 guy stay on upper ledge and pick off engineers, 1 guy escort Schneider and 2 others to beat the hell out of everyone alive. The first phase can be done within 5 minutes. Boss fight - kill mobs, activate flowers, explode flowers when Schneider's nearby. Yes, this mission takes forever with special people and it can be over in ten minutes if you simply do what has to be done.

Nah. If somebody is searching contents of the fridge or taking a dump at the time then it's impossible to get them confirm their presence.

You guys really forget that having antagonist does scale down the AI and the higher the MMR the more antagonists become an easy mode, or it should be so.
As far as I've seen the antagonist level has nothing to do with how tough the fight is - good teams can easily beat down antagonists of 3 times higher levels and dumb people can lose to antagonists of 3 times lower level. I've lost games where lvl 20 antagonists beat our lvl 50+ squad and it wasn't that much the antagonists skill but the team's lack of skill. I also tend to be dropped in games with absolutely new people even at MMR 60+ and I can swear that these new people are sometimes a lot better than those high level raiders with upgraded weapons yet no idea how to deal even with AI.

Bug report & Technical Support / Re: Doldren Astral/Cpu Aware
 on: April 13, 2018, 09:28:32 AM
Yeah Doldren would still be in danger even if his mechanic worked as advertized and allowed him to grab-kill whatever elite he snuck up on. He can jump into action, but can't disengage very safely. Other aliens are long range, he is very very close range, like Lycus or Alicia but without the health, regen, or shield to keep him alive.

Currently he is useless in all PvE scenarios. I have really and truly tried to give him a chance using all of his weapons, and all I am is a liability to the team no matter how hard I try. So I equip his support cards in an effort to at least do a little bit of help.

If you want high melee damage, there's better characters for that. If you want high damage headshots, there's better characters for that. No matter what role you are trying to fill, there's better choices for what he can do. His current strength is only exploiting the natural deficiency in human reflexes and attention focus, and MSE has removed all of this weakness from enemy AI. I have appeared behind enemies that are literally busy with other things, like shooting at or dodging other raider's attacks, and they will counter whatever I do without fail. Since this update they seem to at least take a punch before reacting, but grabs don't work, and punching is still risky at high MMR because half the time I go for melee, the AI will hit back twice and then shoot, always resulting in a down...the mooks' counter-melee is faster than Raider melee, so they can counter you between strikes. They play by totally different rules which continues to be BS.
I already see players who deal with enemies as Doldren on high MMR with ease. It's all about right timing and knowing what you're doing. I by myself can't do that and actually use the gun instead of floating around but once I'll get the blueprints and high enough level to get right cards I'm sure I'll be able to make loadout that can even one shot kill any mob. So basically if you suck with Doldren then either get better or don't use him. I suck with him at the moment but I see plenty of people that easily use him on Short fused or that mission where you capture Schneider and they do just fine killing mobs and not dying themselves.

Why do you want to make Doldren a broken character that can one hit kill any elite/player? It's a common sense to not let people simply float around and be able to 100% safely take out everything with a single press of a button.
