Spacelords Universe / hope there are more comics
 on: November 09, 2017, 06:58:08 PM
no matter what happens to the game I hope they make more comics either on there site or published physical copies. the game is in a really rough spot but they have this awesome world and amazing cast of characters.  I would gladly buy character specific or ones where we see the team together. whatever happens, good or bad, keep making comics!

Spacelords Universe / Re: A potential problem with individual rewards

Then how about rewards that are calculated based on everyone's performance pooled together and you can the amount shown without splitting it. Say your teams performance nets 5000 of each point and all of you choose gold as is the usual case. A system where each person would get 5000 instead of 1250 would seem to snuff out some problems. At least you feel like you got what you deserved. Of course, there can always be problems and some we must accept.
Thoughts?
That don't sound bad at all.  I like it! They probably make the amount snake but hopefully not.
I assume this goes for character and faction points too?

Spacelords Universe / A potential problem with individual rewards
 on: November 09, 2017, 01:35:58 AM
If rewards because individual people will probably play more selfishly. People who want the rewards based on personal performance have consider how you will get them: high kill number? Personal survival? Slept gain? Objective played?
Some of those will force selfish choices like getting the most kills when most missions don't even require killing to conplete the objective.
This is a team base game after all.  I want a better system but i don't if individual rewards is the way to go when playing mutliplayer.
Would like to hear other people fights on this.  I could be missing a lot of details

oh thank you! these sound like good fixes. Do need more detail on the blueprint drops though.

I'm going to play devil's advocate and say most of the antagonist who only do Hanging by a Thread probably only do it for the stigmas. Once the antagonist system is fixed this might not be a problem.
So you really can't be too mad at the people since playing as the antagonist is very rewarding.
It's only rewarding until a certain point. And something tells me the people farming hanging by a thread just do it because they want to climb the leaderboard and naturally suck. It makes the game way less enjoyable for newer players. Plus it seems extremely boring to be fighting inexperienced players on the same map over and over, and actively avoiding the other maps which ruins it for the people who want to play the other maps.

I meant to write "isn't rewarding". sorry about that.
what tells you people farm there simplely cause they suck? I mean, duh, some people do that; I'm not denying that at all but just assuming people are just assholes just make the situation worse.
It being boring to you is subjective and pointless as a remark. I dislike farming and starting to find the current missions boring but still do them to get what little i can out of them.
I know these people are ruining the game and I'm not for that behavior. It's good to look at other's perspective and find the best salutation from both sides. No offensive to the developers, but it's there doing. Once the system is better I honestly doubt it be as big of a problem. 'Course you'll still have assholes ruining the game on purpose but i digress.

having a really hard times finding other players matchmaking. I know the community is really small but wondering if there's a time window that has a good amount of people playing.
I play on PS4  but if the community is better on pc I'm willing to transfer.  I like the game enough that I might also re-purchase the founder pack too

And by the way, Do not forget about the girl in the picture on the background of the forum, which is to the right of Lycus)) It can be early concept art of Valeria from the Fifth Council, or the new character of Aliens (judging by her clothes and face, reminiscent of the Ama-Nin-Dingir)
Now that one, I did think was concept art for Alicia's alternate fifth council outfit.
She kinda looks like Alicia with full hair but not showing her teeth

I'm not entirely sure that character in that video wasn't just an earlier version of Harec before they settled on him being a Sniper/Rifleman class. He is damn close to Harec after all in design. There is also no mention of another Alien period anywhere in any of the lore so I'm more or less convinced he is just being misunderstood to be a different character and is just a prototype of Harec.
There's 2 slots in the alien section. I admit, I don't know what they'd do with a revolver character wth lycus and Alica but honestly more interesting than a prototype.
Though, I wouldn't be supported by random prototypes  in trailers.

Spacelords Universe / Re: how much differences do we make?
 on: October 27, 2017, 02:36:43 AM
Actually, the reason to release a game in chunks is the same as any preview program or crowd funding. That reason being, they cannot afford to make an entire game at once so they are trying to scatter their costs. They even admitted they didn't know if they could accomplish it because it's a very big project for them. To put it differently, if they didn't do it in chunks (campaigns) there is a good chance we wouldn't have gotten the game at all or would have had to deal with publisher shenanigans. Personally, wouldn't mind at this point if they got backing to guarantee all campaigns were released.

I would never say any person's feedback is not valuable but obviously they have to look at the bigger picture too. This means collecting data and a whole lot of it to decide what to prioritize. Though, since there are still glitches and bugs on various platforms that will be a big part of their focus. What I see more often than not is very passionate feedback that may not actually provide any tactile information. So, less rage fueled and more factual is going to do them a whole lot more good.

Hopefully that gives you a bit of clarity but overall I would say just try and be concise and polite even when it's not easy!
Thanks for the feedback, but don't tell someone who's already being polite to do so. It's confusing and makes it out to be that you think they aren't

There is also the revolver local at the end of the "What is Raiders of the Broken Planet?" video.
I think he might be a alien that broke off from his purple on the disagreement on being nonviolent
