Devs - srsly - is this some sort of sick joke?
Do you understand how insane this is?

I just checked, that's daft. I've bought about 6 skins, but nothing above 750 MP. I wanted Shae's skin the most, but there's no way I'm paying even 1100.

That's like what 5 to 6 more time more expensive then other rare skins (that aren't Shae or Ginebra).

That's a shame. I way prefer the Beast form in the alternate skin than the base version.   :(

I feel that 1100 should be the cutoff price for any of the skins or characters; also, with the new "invitational" system allowing players to gain a small amount Mercury Points I think that this would give more incentive to purchase more Mercury Points. For example, if I gained 150 with an invitation and wanted a skin that costs 1100, my best option would buy 1250=$10, so in total I would have 1400, then after I purchase the skin I would have 300. Now having 300 a player is more inclined to purchase more, so that she/he can get the little bit more to buy the next thing that she/he want's. Say at a restaurant, a lot of people in the U.S will look for the most or second most expensive items on the menu and then judge the fairness of the rest of the prices, this is why most of the players that I know won't buy a single point because the high price on Genibra and Mikah, this is culturally a U.S. thing; but, it seems that a lot of people are deterred by these prices and avoiding mercury points all together.

I love this game and I've been playing this for a good while but no, no way am I going to support this if this keeps going on.

I might have to drop this game but I'll see how the price for future skins and characters go before I make my final decision.

People must be buying them that's why the prices keep increasing. I wanted to get one for everyone but the prices are all over the place. Harec's costume cost should be around where they base prices.

Hey, Whales, please stop buying these obscenely priced skins. Kthx.

On a more constructive note, I suspect that both Ginebra and Loaht's skins are so pricey because they're "two skins in one" with the transformations. I can't agree with this mindset personally, and even then, 3000 MP for one skin is still way too greedy.

It really concerns me that apparently this system is working, because I thought selling a higher quantity of lower priced skins would have yielded more returns in the long run. Apparently the whales lack self-control even more than my cynical expectations.

FWIW, I have only ever seen 1 player running around with X-Men Loaht.

I really do not believe there are enough people buying these high-priced skins, but they have been justified and established as "just cosmetic" that "don't affect gameplay" so they can stay. I'm sure we'll get a 10,000 Mercury Point skin eventually, since this one was 6000, and it was out-shined by the absurd $80 8000MP Ginebra skin....
