Spacelords’ Advice / Re: Harec is NOT G.I.Joe

If you use the faction card for not losing ammo on kill shots... let's just say that was basically designed for him. Use that with Aura Mortis and you can snipe all day and even if you miss shots you should have plenty left to burn. Ricky Bobby supports Baby Harec and demands fanart!

Yeah but they're completely different models! I consider those to be light models . I mean they're practically stick figures... The weight alone of the characters you mentions is quite robust in comparison. However, this doesn't mean I don't agree that each Faction could use a bit more diversity and hopefully we will get more variety within 5th Faction instead of simply flooding levels with mooks as you call them. As it stands, I prioritize the shotgunners but it took me too long to figure out I should be dodging as soon as they notice me and never EVER stand remotely near a cliff!

I get that, as I am still waiting for certain games to get the backwards compatibility love they deserve. Let's just hope for the best? Seriously Microsoft where is Anarchy Reigns on that backwards compatibility list...

Unfortunately, I am not sure how much of the changes I am seeing since I tend to play with newer players enough that it grounds the difficulty. Since the changes, I am not sure even PC players are hitting those higher percentages like they used to. I see two reasons why they might have pulled ahead. First, they simply are running better hardware and that can 'smooth' out the gameplay in subtle but important ways. Second, those really high percentage players tended to be dedicated group players and I do mean for very long periods of time so even after the increase they still remained quite high.

To me, it seems most people will cap around 50 and that's basically the equivalent to Hard difficulty if you solo. Realistically, most will start dying a lot just in the 30's. Ultimately, it boils down to if you want to win often or have a sufficient challenge for your skill level. If you want to win more often, grouping with extremely skilled players can actually work against you unless you can pull just as much weight as they can. Conversely, you might find yourself getting bored after a while because honestly at lower difficulties the game can be quite breezy.

From a tactical standpoint that's bad for you regardless. Even if you're wiping them out quickly you're tying yourself and you'd altogether be better off having a teammate help you out for various reasons. First reason, you will get flanked by enemies not involved in that group so it will be good if you're not the only one drawing aggro in your immediate area. Second reason, you're easy pickings for an Antagonist since you're not going to get invincibility from CQCing regular NPCs. Thus, if you can't at least pair off once the difficulty picks up you're going to suffer from flanking and just unlucky counters. At least, with the two of you it's less likely you will both get into a downed state. To put it differently, think of it like a sports game in that you wouldn't want everyone attacking or defending you want a mix as well as adjusting with the flow of the mission. One thing Raiders does immensely is force you to adapt to daunting situations and it's part of what I love. Yes, it can also be very frustrating at times but very often it's because of a mistake not gameplay wise but in judgement such as taking on a group of three by yourself rather than dividing aggro.

When facing 5th Council use a liberal amount of melee and really only use guns to wittle them or stumble them. For instance, any weapon that knocks enemies around are far more valuable against them since they're so weak to melee and putting them in a position where they can't defend is very useful. To clarify, characters such as Lycus and Konstantine who tend to stumble enemies often will be a great asset against 5th Council. However, if you're running an Alien just focus on singling out enemies and taking advantage of your very low stress to dash grab for instant kills. There are tons of ways to deal with them efficiently but hopefully this bits help you or others out somewhat.

This wont happen for a while. I wouldn't worry much about that now. You're thinking 'way' ahead by maybe not even months but perhaps a year from now. By then we could very see a sequel to Raiders of the Broken Planet or other works that are related to this wonderful universe they created. Still hoping at some point we get a companion application.

At least one of them could be a temple such as the one Shae came from before she went rogue and started killing humans. So chances are it's more relic hunting with different enough gameplay than what we have now from the current missions.

No matter how many times it comes up we always get back to wanting a controlled environment. The temple they all leave from would be a great setting for such a thing and rather then a virtual environment it could done as a sort of induced hallucination. However, it doesn't mean offline mode should be left alone I just don't believe it's a priority for them right now. That said, there is a chance it will change as a result of the regular online mode changing.

Years from now let's hope we're playing a sequel and this universe expands further than their original vision we saw in this game. I mean... imagine if we had missions not just on this planet but Earth as well and possibly other planets or dimensions. I see this game as a foothold but not anywhere close to what I would like to see nor know this developer can be capable of.

Well regardless of weapon choice for a character you're going to make some sort of sacrifice that could go so far as changing what Cards you use.

Fan Corner / Re: Raiders Dialouge

Just so you know, if you play as Antagonist you hear lines you wont otherwise hear as a Raider. This could be spoken lines from the Antagonist or NPCs. Also, if you play as Doldren you will hear him make colorful remarks that are definitely unique compared to others including Lycus.
