Title: Impressions about difficulty of the missions

Hello.
I presume (but please correct me if wrong) that difficulty of the mission scales with the raider rank of the players. In the last few days in the score screen it was always around 47%-50% for me.
And in my opinion it begins to be very challenging to complete a mission.

- Mobs (tiny plastic man): are much resistant to shoots and meele, dodge a lot
and do a lot of damage ( 2 shot of their shotgun and u are near death even with Kostantin)
-Elites: The fatty ones from wardogs sometimes comes already "in berserk mode" but without aleph charge from killing a raider, theay also dodge a lot when in normal status.
Snipers: healt regen increase drammaticaly.
Special troops Capitans: ( seems to me that normally they run just when a raider is dying and relatively close) with high difficulty sometimes they run even if the closest raider is on 50 meters to him and not damaged.
Uras shadows and Cute Demon Dogs: Shadows stay less time on ground and transform in dogs much faster. Also Uras legs moves faster when u shoot balls.

This is a lot of my personal impressions (maybe is just my immagination) and if possible i would like a clarification from devs.

If some of this impressions are true:
You plan to balance this just with weapon power?
Or maybe some hidden resistace stat or new cards?

In general with difficulty increasing you will notice spawn rates skyrocketing. You don't even have to get to 50% to see it as it's very obvious at 33%. The bonus for that insane boost is minimal in my opinion and you're better off having a lower difficulty but having an Antagonist instead.

Hello,

The game's difficulty system (online) doesn't work exactly like you describe. It's based on your Matchmaking Rating (MMR), that is judged by your performance and skill, not your Raider rating -you can eventually get to a high Raider rank with a low MMR.

The system automatically tries to match players of similar MMR, when possible, in order to have a consistent and challenging mission difficulty on each game. I hope this helps!

I don't want to open another topic, but i have  another question for devs  (sorry if i'm a pain in the neck).

Last 2 days i played a lot with 2 friends; we hit 54% difficulty ( squid phase of the last mission is pretty impossible), we completed around 35-40 missions playing together in the last 2 days.

In NONE of those mission we had antagonist and absolutely NO weapon blueprint drop.

Then i go play  with random player and missions are easy, 2\3 times there was antagonist, a lot of reward and blueprint even if u don't complete the stage!!
How this is possible?
It seems that game punish you for team play!
Or the MMR just can't find an antagonist for us and we are pretty unlucky?
It begins to be a bit frustrating if when i play with friends missions are hellish and gives less reward (and no weapon).

hello I am one of the friends playing with kelthuzad and indeed if we play in the group the drop rate is very low and the rewards are in gold and miserable points. even some missions become difficult to play at times we find a 50% difficulty where mobs with a shot take you more than half a lifetime.

First of all, it's no pain at all you ask questions! Quite the contrary, it's the whole point of having this forum, and we appreciate the time and effort you put into your posts.

About the latest topic... that's truly puzzling, and definitely shouldn't feel that way. We are reporting it to the design and QA teams. Rewards are dependent of many factors, but playing with friends in a squad or random players shouldn't influence it neither way. We'll keep you updated.

Weird, I thought I was just super unlucky when playing with friends. This happens to me too.

I think Kelthuzaad is bugged lol. I got matched up with him randomly, Never played with him before, no antagonist, and it was the hardest game I've played yet. Waves of minions constantly spawning with no reprieve, and all of them incredibly durable and high damage. Never played a game like that before. It was crazy.

I think you can find the game a lot harder as you progress and stack victorious missions, so prepare yourself for battle!! The broken planet reclaim our life but we resist! (we try)

I love this game. I really do. An games now of days suck bad. Like really bad i play on ps4 an i just got the new up date and this game is way to hard now. The antagonist spawn kills us with the dr. The game was good and i want it to be good can you please make it back how it use to be. It was already really challenging. The enamys like the squads move to fast. I just want it to go back and im not the only one all my friends agree we like the game befor the up date.

I think they really just need to iterate the difficulty different. For instance, don't  just increase spawn rates until even the worst Antagonist will sit back and laugh as you drown in them. Instead, why not iterate what types of enemies spawn (Elites that give Aleph) to give a proper balance of risk versus reward. Personally, rather have some trickier enemies thrown into the mix than have it turn into bullet hell. It did seem like more enemy types are planned so 'hopefully' that means more iteration in existing missions as well.

I just made a similar post in a thread about buggy rewards on the Bug Reports section, but I've experienced this pattern since about a 2 weeks after launch. I played a few days with friends and our MMR went to ridiculous levels, to the point where matches were taking 40 minutes if we even managed to win, and the rewards are incredible low after all of that. I'm not going to go into specifics as I've participated in two separate threads and made about 5 posts on the matter with no official response, but if I spitball the rewards, I would say people who group with me (new players included) have to deal with 40+% difficulty and a quarter of the usual reward (no antagonist). The results aren't much better with an antagonist though. As a result, I've stopped playing, though I do come back every week or so to see if the issue has been fixed.

One thing I have to say, if you are adamant about keeping the scaling difficulty, is that obviously your players are going to lose more and more often as the difficulty rises, and losses result in abysmal rewards. Why the hell would anyone want to play under these conditions? You're being punished for playing actively, instead of rewarded for spending time with the game and improving. Obviously this is compounded by the deteriorating rewards as well, which also seems to be broken and linked to MMR in some strange fashion.
